I had a wonderful experience here, after knowing my friend who is a regular here. I was nervous with all of the bad reviews, but I saw Hayley and she gave me EXACTLY what I asked for! I will definitely go back and plan on going to her for my hair care needs!

I should have trusted the negative reviews for this place. We got married in the Finger Lakes and the other salons I called were booked. I can’t remember the woman’s name but she destroyed my dreams of being a beautiful bride. I had to repeatedly ask her to stop teasing my hair(imagine Snookie). It got to the point where I had to grab the comb from her. I showed her a picture with flowy barely there curls and she curled my hair so tight I lost 3 inches in length! She told me the curls would relax but then she sprayed half a can of hairspray all over them! It was an absolute disaster. I honestly didnt know how to communicate with her, she wouldnt even turn my chair to face the mirror. I had to turn my whole body. I threw the $ 85 she charged me at her and ran out in tears. Once I got to the wedding venue I brushed everything out and just gave myself soft waves with my large barreled curling iron. I’m still really pissed about it. Also, I agree with other reviewers about the owner. She was manning the chair next to me and I heard her say who she was. Boy was she just so RUDE to EVERYONE in there! Her staff, her 2 clients. Ugh!

The owner of this salon was very rude to me on my wedding day. I can not believe how poorly I was treated and I feel horrible for choosing this place and spending my money where I was not treated well. I thought the stylists did a nice job on our hair but would never come back due to the way we were treated.

I’ve been going to Posh for about a year now, and didn’t mind spending too much money on a men’s haircut, because the stylist I ended up with was WONDERFUL and gave me the best cuts that I’ve ever had. However, when I called to make my last appointment, I was informed that my regular stylist wasn’t working there anymore — and when I asked, they refused to tell me where she’d moved to. Called back to schedule an appointment with a different stylist that a friend recommended, and learned that she too wasn’t working there anymore… I needed a cut, so I made an appointment with a new girl named Hannah and hoped for the best. I ended up with the worst haircut that I’ve had in a LONG time. Its as if she heard everything that I asked her not to do, and did it anyway. A shame that Posh lost the good stylists that it had and had to hire new girls. Won’t be going back.

Went here just for a wash/blow dry. It was okay. I felt as though the stylist rushed through my appointment, which didn’t make sense to me because I was the only one in the salon. My hair came out very nice but I’m tempted to give this place only 2 stars because they don’t take credit cards. That’s crazy.

I will NEVER step foot in this salon again. They ruined my hair by leaving my perm in too long. The hairdresser even tried curling my hair with an iron the SAMEDAY I got my perm because she was amazed it didn’t curl. All my hair broke and thinned and it looked horrible. The owner of the salon came over and tried to tell me it was my fault — but in reality her inexperienced hair dresser(thanks, Jen) was the blame. What did I do wrong in this situation? Exactly — nothing. They told me they do not give refunds, which is absurd, so I ended up having to pay for a style that I hated — leaving the salon in tears. Please heed my advice: the owner is this salon is a self-centered, rude woman who has no customer service skills or business ethics. Save your money.

I’m from Orange County, California, where I had a stylist for over 20 years. I always was complimented on my hair — until I moved to Geneva. There was no one until I found Lisa at Posh. Oh my goodness, she cut, colored and styled my hair exactly as done by my prior stylist in California. What a relief! She is well-educated — always going to classes as well as her staff. They are all wondeful there — pricey for Geneva but well worth the cost if you want an excellent color and cut. Highly recommend.

I have gotten my hair cut here three times and permed twice, after searching Geneva for a decent place to get a haircut. I tried Studio Salon but was disappointed. Posh is OK, but still not as good as what you find in larger cities, unfortunately. My haircut looks fine when curly but the first time I straightened it I was horrified at how choppy and uneven it was :(Usually I am too lazy to straighten it so this isn’t a huge problem but it is still really disappointing. They gave me a nice perm, not poodle-y or anything, but the first time there were some pieces on the bottom of my head that did not get curly, and the second time I’ve noticed if I look at the side of my head in a mirror, it is not very natural looking… you can tell they did it all in rows with perm rods. Not sure if there is a way to give a perm that looks more random and natural but if so they do not do that here. The staff is very nice and friendly and I enjoy talking to them when I have to spend 1 – 2 hours there getting a perm. I think I’ll give them one more shot but after that, my search will continue I’m afraid. I just went online to get their number to make an appointment for my next perm and saw that they raised they prices quite a bit. Very disappointed; I will not be going back. I can’t afford $ 115 plus tip for a cut and perm! Sorry! It used to be ~$ 80 just a few months ago :( A huge downside is that they do not accept credit cards. Hello… it’s 2011. Accept credit cards. It’s a hassle to get cash when you’re spending $ 50-$ 100 at a salon!

This place is awesome! I wanted to get my hair done for my cousin’s wedding; nothing fancy just some really big curls. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. The salon is really cute and very open. While waiting I watched Leanne complete an amazing haircut on a very resistant 2 year old so I knew it would be good. I have very long, thick, straight hair which resists curls like no other. However, Leanne managed to curl my hair into these gorgeous, big waves that looked picture perfect through an outdoor ceremony in the high humidity and hours of dancing at the reception. I got so many compliments; definitely worth every penny. Everyone was so friendly and nice — my only wish is that Posh was located in DC so they could be my go to salon.
