As a consumer, I often ask myself where have quality products and«old time» customer service gone… Well, if you happen to be looking for great quality footwear at a very reasonable price… It’s all hiding a block North of State St., in Geneva, IL. at Giesche Shoes, A long time ago, I learned the benefit of investing in a quality pair of shoes. I, favor Johnson and Murphy for men… I found the selection of J&M and other top quality brands, superior to other area stores… I also was pleased with their product knowledge and high level of «old school» customer service. The staff helped me make the right selection and saved me some money to boot. It is a family owned business, which is reflected as soon as you enter the store… ah, memories of when more businesses were this pleasant to visit… Another Geneva Gem, well worth a visit.

I used to love to take my kids to this shop to get their shoes. Every first fitting was done at Giesche, and the many staff members treated us so very well. The issue with Giesche is it seems to given up trying to meet the needs to the community. The selection of shoes gets smaller, your children get older and they don’t carry shoes for those 11 and above. I myself have a hard time finding shoes that are on trend in my age group. It seems the majority of their customers are for the over 70 set. I still give Giesche three stars because of the quality of staff and their customer service. If it weren’t for this aspect I’d have only given them one star.

Brought my 90– year old father-in law in. Greg Giesche treated him like a king. Mr. Giesche went out of his way to make sure the fit was right and even recommended a sale shoe over a full price shoe. You need to shop here if you want fantastic service, great selection and great prices. !!!Thank You Giesche shoes for making a difficult task very pleasant. WE need to support local businesses like this…

Giesche shoe store rocks the brands women love at GREAT prices. When they have sales, like Swedish days, in summer… go and save on really nice shoes at «I dont know how they do it» prices. So all this, and if you get Mr. Greg Giesche to wait on you, he will tell you straight up if the shoe fits! I wish we had a store like this in Arizona, but when I visit western suburbs of Chicago, I will hit the Giesche store.

What is there to say about Giesche? They are a wonderful shoe store with wonderful employees and owned by the nicest of men. My family has been buying shoes from Giesche for close to twenty years. They carry a huge selection of shoes and most of the shoes they carry are built to last. 90% of the shoes I’ve worn every day of my(young) adult life have come from their shelves. This includes four(yes four!) pairs of Birkenstocks, the heels I(never) wear to work, and now a pair of Keen Newports. Everyone who works there knows their shoes and are always willing to go above and beyond in helping you find what you need. For instance, today I looking for a specific color of my new Keens in size 8 but I wasn’t exactly sure that was what I wanted. The lovely gentleman who was helping me went downstairs and brought up every single color they had in size 8. They’ve also humored me and let me try on every style Birkenstock in their store in the past, as well as half the Bjorns. Hey, I wear my shoes forever(my first pair of Birkenstocks that I bought from them 8 years ago still have a lot of life in them!) so I want to make sure they’re what I want. And Geische is happy to oblige and give me adivce without acting like I’m a whack job(to my face anyway).

I worked here in high school, so I’m partial Giesche’s. Greg, the owner, is one of the nicest guys you’ll meet. He always greets his customers with a smile. Being in Geneva, it’s a fairly upscale shoe store. Greg always has a bountiful inventory and sells a wide variety of men, women and children’s shoes, from Echos to Reebok. If you live or are in the area, drop by and get yourself a pair of shoes! SUPPORTYOURINDEPENDENTBUSINESSMAN!!! I stopped in to say hi not too long ago and remembered how many lessons I learned working for Greg. One day he asked me to run down to TJ’s and get him two cheeseburgers and a large fry. And the most valuable of lessons I learned has benefitted me many a times, i.e., eat two cheeseburgers and an order of fries to line your stomach before a long night of drinking!
