In my opinion, this health club is expensive and continues to find ways to improve their bottom line. Classes are being cancelled causing classes to be overcrowded, changing soaps and shampoos to cheaper brands. They close their pools for maintence, went from one week to three weeks and still require you to pay dues even though you can’t go anywhere but the therepy pool

what is so bad with this place is I was pregnant and put on bed rest and they still expect to be paid… There are other gyms that have the same things that are not so expensive…156 $ a month for me and my 2 kids is just so over priced. found somewhere where I’m actually happier has pool… therapy pool… hot tub… sauna…steam room… childcare…classes included… all the same things for 88 $ a month for me my husband and 2 kids…

Cadence Fitness Center is the best gym in the area. They have literally every amenity and tool you’d need in a gym, while providing ample space. The center offers a collection of free classes included with your membership fee along with a large, 25 meter pool. The staff is helpful and always wishes you a good night when you leave. It’s simply a clear level above any of the other local gyms. I tried to take a bunch of pictures to show the actual workout gear. The center was in the process of replacing all the cardio machines with new gear(not shown in the pictures), and replaced all the flooring. The average age in the gym is probably 35 with a good mix of really old people and high school students as well. Regardless everyone is respectful in terms of sharing the weights and machines. I’m bummed to be moving soon because Cadence is a great place to work out!

The facility has one of only two Warm Water Therapy Pools in the Area and the Instructors are all great with the exception of one. The Yoga & Pilates Classes are among the best in the Fix Valley Area and better then some well known Chicago Instructors. The trainers have amazing knowledge and are not too busy even if they are not your trainer. The amenities of having unlimited towels, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, hair spray, deodorent, mouthwash, hair gel, body lotion, cotton sawps, q-tips, blow dryers and more are top rate.

This is a quiet low key medically based health center. Having a similiar structure in my town I know what these places can look like. I was here for a Teacher Training, and although the front desk staff was abrupt and mannerless — barking my total for a drink at me, and grabbing the dollars out of my hand — the facility itself was clean, had a lot of nice amenities, and indoor track, and a cute little studio space — though the sun kept coming in from the triangular windows and blinding me. I most liked the lounge/locker room, though they could use more toilets, and the family locker room and Xpress changing rooms were a nice touch. They are truly full service with shampoo, conditioner, deoderant other amenities available in the locker rooms, plus a nice hot tub. Two story, airy design is nice upstairs but when you get downstairs there just seems to be too much wall space and white. They offer a lot of rehab classes, cardiac, prenatal etc. The co-ordinator was nice, friendly and a great facilitator — I would recommend workshops and trainings here, they even have a small café for lunch.
