This restaurant is closed. Permanently. It was open. For many many years and finally closed. Average food, not Mexican by any means. Tex mex for sure.

used to deliver the meat to Roy back in the late «70s, early «80s when working for Rinks grocery store so its always been good! Never had a bad meal there! Both owners were good to the customers and friendly! I try to stop there when coming through to get 3 beef tacos or there roast beef dinner. can’t go wrong.

A lot of locals seem to like this place, but I guess if it’s what you grew up on, it’s hard to know any better. It’s definitely not a place to go if you want Mexican food. Went to try it out with my wife and we didn’t even finish our meal. The only word I have to describe the food is Nasty.

I grew up in Geneseo and get back there frequently. As I have often described Roy’s… you can’t call it Mexican, but it is pretty tasty. Just don’t go there expecting real, traditional Mexican food.

Alright, so this place isn’t «authentic», but it’s delicious!!! It’s worth the 13 hour drive I have to make so I can eat here. I mean, a fried tortilla with melted cheese on it? C’Mon, that’s delicious. Who cares if it’s «authentic» — go to Mexico for that. Come in for the simple, but tasty fare. Meet some of the locals. The house made taco sauce is delicious. Enjoy the atmosphere. You’re eating in the shell of an old railroad boxcar! (Some fun, local lore.)

Mexican? Not so much. I could make Old El Paso taco kit more gourmet than Roy’s. Apparently the locals love it, but coming from experience of real Mexican cuisine in Texas, it’s far from delicious. I’ve heard their American fare isn’t bad, but haven’t gone back to try it because I expect Mexican when I go to a Mexican restaurant.
