We’ve recently moved to Astoria from Beaverton. We’ve rented a storage unit from these folks but also rented two vehicles from them to facilitate part of the move. Everyone at this place is friendly and accommodating. I’m not going to say they make moving and storage a pleasure because moving sucks! I will say they seem to understand the stress of the process and go out of their way to ease some of it. We’re pleased our storage unit is temperature and humidity controlled and we’d recommend these folks to any of our friends.

Our experience using your storage facility has been wonderful! We came in when you were brand new and still in the pods, I needed a place to store my daughters stuff while she was attending Clatsop Community. You were always incredibly helpful and accommodating when she needed in. Then when you finally got up and running with the permanent units, converted us over with no effort on our part whatsoever, saving us a little money. Thank you Thank you Thank you! My only thing was trying to get ahold of you directly through the service center… what a nightmare! My suggestion would be to be sure to provide new tenants with a business card and a direct number and tell them to call direct only! That would save a lot of grief. Again our thanks for your service in the time we were with you!

My honey-do list kept growing as the pile of «stuff to throw away» in our fixer’s garage and the yard debris in our backyard was encroaching on our lives. Our dog lucy was overwhelmed by that mountain of trash looming higher and higher and she could no longer lift her leg up or squat high enough to mark it as hers, so I needed a truck! Driving past the Gearhart U-Haul on Highway 101 I noticed they offer half ton trucks for only $ 19.95 plus mileage for local use. That seemed like the answer. My little Ford Ranger has a canopy and a very small load capacity. I didn’t want to use it to haul trash that might scratch the unused box or our pristine tailgate! My son in law was in town and willing to help. When I pointed out the pickup I intended to rent, His first words were«I thought you wanted a truck»? Lets get a real truck with a covered box, dual rear axle, lots of horsepower and get the job done while the load is also covered when the door is closed and over with in one, maybe two trips to the Astoria Recology transfer station. We ended up driving away with a gas powered V-10 moving truck that seemed cavernous inside for today’s disposal project as it even had overhead space above the cab! (Priced only slightly higher than the pickup!) The metal lined walls and smooth floor were easy to sweep out and designed for this type of use, perfect for today’s plans. The mountain of scraps, carpet, old paneling, ceiling tiles and used construction materials from our ongoing fixer project in Seaside filled it quickly and now, the garage even has room for the wife’s Toyota! The second trip was yard debris, old shrubs, roots and branches that had accumulated out back(and a few still growing in the front). I probably shouldn’t mention how strong this white and orange workhorse is as I was able to pull out the remaining shrubs from our front yard with my nylon tow rope in slightly more than a heartbeat while hooked up to that trailer hitch on this Super Duty Ford’s rear bumper! Thanks to U-Haul we now have our garage and backyard back! The rental process checking out was handing over a credit card and a quick a walk around inspection and noting the fuel level was all easy, Checking back in was just as easy as I had replaced the fuel, swept out the back end. There was a modest fee for mileage but all in all, today’s job was quick and U-Haul made it easy plus, saved me some big cash compared to having a container delivered! I will rent a truck from U-Haul again when I need a truck and never break a sweat!
