Luigis Pizza

We are from FL and decided to rent a cabin for 4 nights. Upon arrival, we did not want to venture out for dinner especially with the narrow roads leading to the cabin. After calling 3 – 4 other places we called Luigi’s seeing from other reviews that they delivered to cabins. Whoever answered was very nice when we placed our order and Kyle the man who delivered was fast and extremely friendly. He brought our order inside to us and was very pleasant. Delivery only took 35 minutes and the food was great. Highly recommend.

Been here for over an hour waiting for our to-​go order; medium pizza and cheese bread. It took the waitress 10 minutes to even acknowledge us. The place is dead. It’s just rude. First time to Gatlinburg, first stop. So far no good.

Open late, super service, great pizza and the wings are just awesome! Very friendly service, good location in regards to most hotels

Great thin crust pizza! The sauce was excellent and lots of fresh mozzarella. The perfect post hiking pizza. Will definitely come back to this one.

Saved the day when Best Italian Resteraunt let us down. Pizza had a lot of cheese on it and was delicious.

Took 2 hours to deliver 5 pizzas to a house. Lady on the phone was insanely rude and hurt my friends feelings. He was simply hungry and wanted pizza and she demolished his feelings with sharp and harsh words. Did not offer compensation and the pizza was disappointing to say the least. I should have used it as a frisbee because it was so stale and hard.
If you want good pizza avoid at all costs.

This is my favorite place to get pizza in Gatlinburg. After a long day of hiking, my man will drop me off out front so I can place a to go order and we can stuff our faces sitting in a hot tub. The staff is always very friendly. Once I requested something menial, like an extra ranch dressing, and the waiter told me to simply remind him and he’d include it in our order. Very helpful. The pizza is delicious, appropriately priced, and I highly recommend the garlic knots.
I will say, if you stop in after a day of hiking and you happen to be dirty and/​or smelly, be prepared to be stared at. I vividly remember once some of the other customers looked at me like a leper, so I waited in the outdoor seating area… I guess they don’t know there is a state park next door ;)

Absolute garbage. We were suggested by our rental property ($$$ stipend to chalet village?) to order from here via strategic pamphlets placed throughout the property. Not only was the food received 3 hours later (after one hour as promised on a Friday night! — it was hot, I’ll give them that), but it looked like your standard out of the box spaghetti pasta and bagged salad. If I knew that was coming to the place, I’d have gone to the grocery and made something myself, and I would have probably still eaten sooner than we had. Thank god i didn’t get a pizza from here. Actually that probably would’ve been great because I probably would have gotten a totino’s party pizza and that would’ve been a great throwback to my college days. Our food was smashed and it came with excessive amounts of ketchup. So expensive for what you get! Anyhow, I’d just bite the bullet, cruise into town, and stop at somewhere like mellow mushroom.

Don’t bother. We waited an hour and a half and still didn’t have our pizza. Wasn’t even slightly busy. We paid for drinks and left. Never will make that mistake again. Terrible service.

Food was wonderful! Service was marginal. Our waitress was either over worked or having a bad day. She sighed to my wife after she asked for plates for our appetites that were delivered to the table. Then, I watch her roll he eyes at the table behind us because they asked for something that was not ready yet. I understand customers can be a pain in the rear, but I don’t believe I can come up with a reason that eye rolling is acceptable mode of communication.
We ordered the Luigi city pizza based on the recommendation of our hostess. It was great pizza. I would give them another chance.

Don’t order pizza for delivery unless you have 2 hours to wait, you like Luke warm soggy crusts and a delivery driver with a bad attitude and a date in his van. I can understand it taking a while for delivery on a Friday night, but considering the directions on Unilocal tell you it’s a 5 minute drive? I was told 45 minutes to an hour, after an hour and 15 minutes I called and was told he was on the way, 45 minutes later I called was told he is on the way
Don’t order from here and expect much I have had better $ 5 frozen pizza.

Amazing cheesy bread and pizza! Our server seemed to love his job and was very friendly! We will be back!

Gyros are large portions. Not bad lunch at 3 pm on a weekday. Lady waitress was nice, lots of comfy seating. Would go back to try the traditional selections.

Walked in with a group of 35 hungry bikers. Great NY style pizza and service. Even the Nw Yorkers were impressed. Give them a try.

So we placed our order for delivery at 10:00pm and told it’d be there in 45 minutes. After an hour of waiting called to find out what was going on. They told us traffic was bad and we were next. We waited a total of 2 hours for the guy to show up.
I noticed a $ 10 difference between the price it should have been and the price I was charged. Their «receipts» are hand written in whatever codes they use at the store with no prices for individual items. I asked the driver how much our breadsticks were, and he told me that he didn’t know. He said he didn’t work at Luigi’s, he works for Giovanni’s, who owned both places, and that they called him to help out.
For those who are even thinking about ordering here for any reasons whatsoever, please do yourself and your family a favor and go somewhere else. I would stay away from Giovanni’s as well since they are owned by the same people. They know you are a tourist, they know you won’t be around long enough to cause them any real problems, and they act accordingly. I don’t know how this place made number three on pizza delivery, but they should just close their doors, and I hope enough people read this review to force them to either close or change the way they handle orders and customers.
As far as how the pizza and bread sticks tasted? They are not even close to being worth the wait, and they are FAR over priced for what you do get.

Ordered from here hoping it was going to be better than normal chain pizza. And that’s exactly what we got, great delivery. We had large supreme and large veggie lovers and order of bread sticks. I also ordered an extra marinara sauce which I was happy to see that I received. The pizza was much better than the average chain and the marinara tasted home made. Would definitely order again and recommend if looking for deliberate.

Gyro and salad to go, salad was dry, gyro meat was crunchy dry and the gyro bread was dry as a cracker. We got back to the hotel with no fork, salad without a fork FUN! O and they had no $ 10s for change.

Decided to order in at our hotel instead of going out into the cold and crowds. Luigi’s had some interesting pizzas. Placed the order and was told that it would be a while, at least an hour to 90 minutes because of traffic in town. Ok, cool. I appreciated them telling me that upfront instead of me waiting and waiting and wondering where they are.
I ordered the stuffed meat lovers pizza for my BF and I got the Greek pizza. Now apparently they charge a pretty hefty delivery fee. With tax & tip for a large and medium pizza it cost $ 49!!! Holy cow! I don’t remember seeing a delivery charge on their website, nor was I told about there being one.
Also, their website tells you the names of the pizzas and even has pictures, but no descriptions. So I spent a bit of time on the phone asking the guy, «what’s on the blah blah pizza?» He had plenty of time to tell me about the delivery fee.
The pizzas were good. Not sure if my crust was house-​made or bought. I probably wouldn’t do that again, but it’s a decent place.

My over all experience = not so good. Feel free to stop reading, or keep reading to find out why. Was in Gatlinburg on Saturday and debating where to have lunch. 4.5 Stars from Unilocal.Pizza sounds good, so let’s go. Cute little restaurant with two tables for outdoor seating. Luigis has all sorts of cool things growing out of their planters = rosemary, italian basil, peppers. The restaurant was not crowded at all. Our server was just okay. She really didn’t do much — we got one refill after we were done eating and our glasses had been empty for a long, long time.
What we ate: Deep fried Mushrooms ($ 8.99) — really gross — they were barely warm on the inside and very mushy — obviously from a frozen bag.
Large Greek Pizza: ($ 18.99) okay but a bit salty between the feta, olives and pepperoncini.
Large Luigis Special: ($ 18.99) way too much sauce — and the cheese although melted didn’t seem melted enough (strange) — maybe had been sitting out before it was brought out and recongealed?
The waitress did remove the Fried Mushrooms off the check — I credit her for that but we had to remind her as well. So, just kinda disappointed. Every once in a while a well reviewed place can have a bad day or maybe the reviews can sometimes be inflated/​skewed. Which was it? I don’t know. As always, judge for yourself. Pizza is hands down my favorite food (I’m a New Yorker who has also lived in Italy) and I know good pizza when I taste it. Today, this was not it…
