I can’t believe I haven’t Unilocaled my review before today! I having been going here for years. I have«blonde«hair that needs a lot of maintenance to look good. This is the place I choose. It is all students who are working on a certificate to get a job in cosmetology. There are the beginners in the back That is great for kids and normal hair cuts. Then there is phase 2 in front for the advanced students. I always ask for the phase 2 group. I get a whole head foil in 2 colors. They keep my records to be consistent with the color formula. When the student isn’t sure of what to do, there is the instructor that shows them how to do it I have gone about 8 times and I have always been extremely happy. They often have a discount coupon on groupon

I had a great experience here yesterday! I went here for the first time, and I have to admit, I was a bit skeptical and scared putting my hair in the hands of a student! But I am so happy with the results! I did a lot of research on the hair salons in the Gastonia area before choosing to try Paul Mitchell.(I am new to the area) Honestly, even the high end salons had bad reviews. Sooooo, I figured, I’d rather pay $ 50 if I don’t like the results than pay $ 150+ at a high end salon and not like the results! So anyways, I tried it and was booked with Meghann B. I want to say her last name was Bryant but not sure! Although I was there for 5 hours, that’s really the only thing I can«complain» about! And I am actually not complaining! I got a little«me» time away from my kiddos so that was nice! I went in with pretty dark roots and brassy blonde hair and asked for a cooler ash blonde and the results speak for themselves! I think I got very lucky, considering I saw a couple butchered hair cuts done by other students while I was there! But if I could get Meg every time, I’d definitely go back!

I’ve been going to Paul Mitchell Gastonia for over 4 years now. The stylists are different in his or her own way, but I’ve always left satisfied. You have to remember that this is a school and learning is taking place. I always go in with the thought as long as they leave enough for a ponytail, then practice away. This keeps the pressure off everyone. Some are faster than others, but some take the time to give an excellent shampoo! I’m still Dorian’s biggest fan ;) For $ 15, you will always get a better cut than Great Clips. Now, if I could only stop wanting a hair cut on Monday after work, it would be great! Thanks Paul Mitchell for producing fine students in a relaxed atmosphere.

The first time I went to Paul Mitchell schools it was in Colorado and I was very happy with it. I even began to consider myself a Paul Mitchell fan. Then I moved to North Carolina. The school in downtown Charlotte was very friendly and did a good job. This school was different. The first time I scheduled an appointment here I was told I’d be with a student who was almost graduated. I got there and they had rescheduled me with a woman who had just started. I told this woman I wanted a light to medium brown hair color done. By the time I left my hair was black. Then I thought I’d give them one more chance. I told them I wanted a Marilyn Monroe haircut. Not only was the woman doing my hair untalkative and hard to understand because she talked so quietly, she messed up my hair so badly I had a «bowl cut» by the time I left. Luckily when I got home I was able to fix it. The rest of the time I lived in NC, I went to the one downtown. They were much better.
