Armans Restaurant

A great local place. I work not far from here and the food is always good and the service is quick. There is a great atmosphere when you walk in. Everyone is so nice.

Color me impressed. D knew of the place but he thought they only served hot dogs. Thankfully I had a feeling there was more to it and after getting back from finally closing on our new home…
(that was a real long dragged out process… so glad it’s finally done… now the fun part of moving begins… but Hemingway…)
…I talked D into trying Armans instead of more Sharks (love that place still but a little variety never hurts). Arman is actually the name of a good friend of mine’s husband as well. So I knew I would have to go there at least once to give them a try.
There were a few cars parked around the shack. It’s not much from the outside and definitely has a dated interior. But D and I were both pleasantly surprised to see just how extensive their menu is. I saw they had a special on lemon rice soup. I also spied a taco special that day that caught my eye. D saw something for a pork tenderloin sandwich. We walked up to the counter and while waiting saw even more items on their menu.
Bill was working the front and was very pleasant when it was time to place our orders. We noted that they didn’t skimp at all on the fries which was nice. D noted that the cook could’ve browned the pork tenderloin a little longer but he got the sense that the cook thought we were in a hurry. Despite that though he did enjoy the tenderloin and I really loved the lemon rice soup. The soft tacos were good though not necessarily my favorite.
I can see why Armans gets busy. I’m glad we were adventurous enough to give it a try. Since they’re not far from the new home, I definitely see myself coming back here and trying more items.

Great food. Family owned. Just great local place. I love it. I’d give them 10 stars if possible. They don’t come any friendlier. Stop there, enjoy the staff but most of all the food. Never a mistake in my experience

Grew up eating here with original owner. Tastes just as good now thanks to Bill. My mouth is watering here in Indy just thinking of the polish!

Arman’s is great place to get a hot fresh meal for a reasonable price. My polish reminded me of when my dad would take me to Maxwell Street in Chicago for a polish. Bill in a friendly owner who greets his regular customers by name.

Great hot dogs at an awesome price. The 2 Hot Dog Special they run is a great deal. I recommend giving this place a try, quick service and friendly people.

My home town favorite. After moving away from Gary, I soon miss what I couldn’t get and that was a Armans hotdog with fries. I like to get it to go! 2 dogs with everything. They had the old fashion hotdog steamer and bun warmer. Gary Ind has the best hotdog and fries around. they wrap the dog and fries together and that’s the winning combination .you can’t go anywhere in the USA and get the dog and fries wrap like
my book it’s the only way to order your dog and fries. It’s habit forming.

Fun little locally-​run hot dog shop in Miller Beach. Not much to look at on the outside, but inside you’ll find great tastes and friendly service. Offers Chicago-​style, chili cheese, and various other types of dogs, and appetizers including breaded mushrooms and zucchini sticks. I’ve not had anything here that I haven’t enjoyed.
