I wish u can leave 0 stars. This place was so bad i don’t have words to explain my visit. I got cookies that were so stale u can break a window with them. Brownies were the worst i ever eaten. I will never ever go back

I was in the area after finishing up a dog rescue, I used Siri to look for a cupcake place and this shop was one of the options. I went into try it from the outside places cute and kind of raised my expectations of it when I walked in there Was a table immediately to the left that was covered in paperwork and bills. Welcome? They have a tiny display case with a small variety of different treats. They only had two cupcake flavors: chocolate and vanilla. Not so exciting. I tried to keep an open mind and got a couple of each, only because the debit card minimum purchase was $ 10. I eat one right away, and was extremely disappointed. The chocolate frosting leaves a chalky feeling in your mouth and tastes bitter. The cake itself was okay. The shop is cluttered with miscellaneous things and does not come off as a very clean/​sanitary environment, nor does it seem to know its own identity. Not a place I would ever go to again.

Reallly Really amazing cake!!! Ordered a birthday cake for my mom, and it was So pretty … and really delicious!!! I think what I ordered was a pineapple cake with buttercream frosting, the frosting was amazing. but i have a feeling whatever u get itll b good

Sugar House has some of the most delicious cakes in NJ. They take the time to create something special and unique for your event, even customizing it for your theme like they did with mine. I needed a story book cake for a baby shower and let me tell you they were amazing. I got so many great reviews about the cake and quickly referred them to Sugar House. I have used them many times and will continue to do so. Thank you guys!

Yum! I travel for business to Westfield, NJ and never go without stopping in at the Sugar House. I am totally addicted to the tea cookies and can’t resist buying less than ½ doz (for myself). I can’t say enough good things about this place… everything I’ve had is over the top delish! Great job Sugar House!

I think I drove past this bakery about twelve times before I noticed it one day this past spring. With its bright yellow color, I always assumd it was just someone’s fancy house design since the house is a residential home. However, while paying closer attention one day I saw the sign that said «Sugar House Bakery» and I knew I had to make time at some point to visit this establishment.
Walking in, you do feel like you’re walking into a home. Sure there isn’t furniture to sit down and relax in. Instead you are greeted with a glass case filled with some amazingly delicious looking confections. The floors are wood and in the next room are their ovens and prep area.
Their range of products went from cookies to cakes to scones, brownies and more! It was literally the ‘kid in the candy store’ scenario when I went in. I wanted to order everything but settled with a brownie, blueberry crumble and a cranberry biscotti. Everything I got was wonderfully sweet and intense. By themselves, the crumble and brownie were almost too much, but with a coffee or glass of milk? Heaven!
The staff here was super nice and I really liked talking to them about their business and their baked goods. They were super busy preparing for a corporate event the day I visited (which is a good sign) but I hope to go back some time when they’re not as busy.

I’ve been a Sugar House client for many years. I come back because not only is the baked goods delicious the presentation is beautiful. Their combination platter of mini cookies and dessert pieces is my go to dessert when I’m the hostess. They are wonderful as gifts as well. My favorite pie is the Bourbon pecan pie. My favorite cake is the peach dulce la leche. Tracy the owner is wonderful.

Cupcake Heaven! Stopped there last weekend for the first time and met the owner. He gave us a free sample chocolate chip cookie — utterly delicious! We enthusiastically picked out a selection of cupcakes to bring to a friend’s house — carrot w/​cream cheese frosting, vanilla-​vanilla, chocolate-​chocolate and red velvet. Everyone raved about them; they were truly delicious. My personal favorite was the carrot (the frosting was sweet, cream-​cheesy deliciousness); my husband’s the chocolate-​chocolate.
Next time I want to try the brownies, blondies, homemade ring-​dings and other treats! We will definitely be back.
