Food is great, service was awesome and the entire staff was very helpful accommodating us with my nephews dairy allergy.

My husband and I were both equally unimpressed. The peach bellini was good but the seafood plate we ordered had bland scallops and salmon. The stuffed shrimp had far too much breading and the clams were tasteless mush. The calamari was also unappetizing — it needed an intensely flavored reduction rather than left plain. Small portions… unfriendly waiter. We won’t be back.

Authentic Italian restaurant, great service, great food and great drinks. Both red and white sangrias are excellent and reasonably priced. Have been here probably 30 times now and not once have been disappointed in the food. This has become my girlfriends go-to choice for Italian food. They have tasty garlic knots and great bread. Try the penne baci, you’ll love it.

Generally good, but not great Italian food. Pastas and salads are reasonably priced and taste just fine. But some of the Appetizers such as Mozarella sticks(6 for $ 6.95) and Zucchini sticks($ 8.95) are a complete ripoff. New owner needs to get some of the menu items in line with what is a fair expectation and this local restaurant can be awarded 4 stars.

3 strikes your out… Ok Sat night I understand we have to wait but when my friend a regular who has been talking about his local place… embarrassment and improper service is not acceptable. There were three tables that came in after us and were seated before us… Principle is the key here. We were taking a friend of ours out for a well deserved dinner after they had a very stressful week for them. Although our waiter was good and the owner gave us a round of drinks on the house… with good food the fact that we should not have been disrespected. The last straw was when our friends friends who came in after us were seating before us… that was after the other two… tables as well. I am not sure I will go back there if they do not change the service provided to my friend. Not close to my house but just embarrassing for our friends…

My husband and I ate here recently after it was recommended to him by someone he works with that’s Italian and is a long-time customer. When we arrived, we were pleasantly surprised at how nice the restaurant looks on the inside. I almost felt under dressed in a long sleeved t-shirt and jeans. We were seated right away and a waiter came and brought us a small loaf of Italian bread and little«squares» of garlic bread. Both were delicious! I ordered a glass of red sangria and it was one of the best that I’ve ever had! :) We didn’t have an appetizer and ordered lasagna(me) and the chicken parmesan with spaghetti(him). Everything tasted authentic and fresh. The ricotta in my lasagna was mouth watering. Everything was so delightful and the service was excellent. We will definitely be back.

My fiancée and our parents went to Rudy’s to celebrate our recent engagement, and had a very nice experience. The menu is extensive — really something for everything. And the food was very good. I ordered the cheese tortellini alfredo, and the portion was large and tasty. The staff were very friendly. In fact, after our waitress found out we were celebrating our engagement, she told the manager(or perhaps owner?), who came over to offer his congratulations and gave us a bottle of wine as a gift for celebrating there. If you’re looking for semi-casual Italian restaurant for a family dinner out, you can’t go wrong with Rudy’s!

This place is by far the worst ever. How many errors can they do? Lots apparently. Let’s start at the bones in chicken noodle soup. Small ones and also one half the size of a wishbone. One time the chief must’ve used the entire salt shaker in the soup. Salad one time my brother got was half bad. Never will step into this horrible place again. Shall I say the manager was a pain when told the soup wasn’t good to standards get the rudest remark from him. 0 stars this place deserves. They should be glad I didn’t swallow any bones.

This was a real surprise. First time here. Great food & great attentive service. I had the seafood salad. Delicious. You have to like s place where the owner comes around to check in with the customers to make sure everyone’s happy. Nice crowd as well. We will definitely be back.

Nice affordable casual spot for Italian food. Complimentary small loaf of bread offered as well as several pieces of garlic knot type bread. We started with the fried calamari, which was quite good. It’s not heavily battered but still has a nice crispy exterior. We opted for the sweet chili sauce, which is traditionally thai. I ordered the penne vodka, which was very good. Boyfriend ordered the gnocchi and was able to sub the sauce listed on the menu for the vodka sauce. He found a fiber(which was later determined to be from the sponges from cleaning) in his dish, and the manager was very nice about it and offered to prepare another dish. Since we were at the end of our meal, he comp’ed the dish instead.

Awesome food and awesome owners. The staff is well trained and very attentive. Specials are great. Sangria is yum! Weekday nights the place can be filled with large parties. As far as value — you get it here! Fresh ingredients and done very well! Put on your short list for Italian that is consistent and delicious.

Pretty good place. I read that this used to be Bensi; which had always provided decent food for good price. I like the chicken cacciatore with gnocchi. My mother in law likes the eggplant parmigiana a lot. She says is the best.

The food is always good and consistent nice atmosphere the owner is friendly and cares about his customers which keeps us going back. the reason for not giving 5 stars is that some menu items are over priced particularly the chicken dishes either give a better portion not a super thin breast or lower the price. We will be going back!

The food is excellent and the service is very friendly and good. You can get the basics and the menu also has some nice specialty items. Some reviews say it can be noisy but I would consider it average. It’s not a quaint quiet fancy/ritzy place — Just a no frills great food average priced neighborhood staple.

First time going to Rudy’s. Customer service was pleasant. Place was packed as expected for a Saturday evening. They don’t take«reservations» but they put your name on a list, similar to reservations. Food was delicious. We tried the Sunday Sauce and Chilean Seabass with Endives. I would definitely recommend going and will definitely go back.

Didn’t get to try Rudy’s. Unilocal says that they deliver, but when we called they said they don’t do deliveries. Should update the page info.

I was here last night for the first time since it became Rudy’s. I was here only one other time when it was still Bensi and that experience was not the best. Rudy’s though, was yummy! There was a ten minute wait when we got there on a Friday night but it went quickly and we were soon seated in one of their large booths(love). Waiter was friendly and prompt with drinks and our orders. The manager/owner even made the rounds at one point to make sure customers were pleased. I secretly enjoy that for some reason. My friend ordered a white pie with spinach(she said she loved) and I got a large cranberry, walnut and Gorgonzola salad which I thought was really tasty and hit the spot when paired with bread. The ingredients were fresh and there wasn’t too much dressing. Had a nice little dinner but no room for dessert(even though the dessert stomach is separate). But not to worry. I’ll be back. Ew, sorry. I’m not sure why I just went Schwarzenegger on you there…

My in-laws really enjoyed Rudy’s, but I feel it has gone downhill fast. Not that it was ever a 5-star restaurant, but it was consistent and reasonable. On our last time there, the service was mediocre and the food was subpar. I got the Salmon, which was swimming in way, way too much sauce. The sauce was salty and overpowering and just made the dish feel subpar and sloppy. My mother-in-law ordered the same Scallops dish she always orders, but this time it was completely different. It was not topped with bread crumbs and herbs as the menu suggests and as she’s received multiple times before. Instead, it was covered in a slimey sauce that they said was a Scampi. It was truly inedible and rubbery and far from what is usually ordered. The waitress even said that it did not look right, but when she came from the kitchen she tried to defend it. She didn’t eat her meal at all, and I tasted one and could say that I do not blame her. Rudy’s is far too overpriced for serving such mediocre food of poor quality. The only thing that was really edible was their soups. Maybe it’s okay for pizza, or the occasional pasta dish, but I wouldn’t spend the money on their meat or seafood entrees.
