I feel bad that I have to update with only two stars. I went back today planning on getting outfits for two upcoming events. The store was supposed to open at 10:30. At 10:40(and my clock is right) the store still had the«closed» sign on it and all the lights were out. At 10:45 I was pulling away and saw the lights were still out. I’m not a people person, so shopping in the morning is best for me to avoid crowds and being pushed. That said, I prefer to shop early to avoid the business-woman bustle which is from 11:30 to 1:30 and the soccer mom shuffle which is from 1:30 to 4:30 … then rush hour starts. So, anyway, the store missed out on a window of opportunity where I would be buying two full outfits, including shoes and bags. I called the owner later in the say and she apologized after insisting they were open and that perhaps my clock was wrong(it wasn’t — I had my cell clock and the clock in the car to show it wasn’t wrong). I would hesitate to go back after this experience. My time is important too and I need a boutique I can count on.

The clothing selection is kind of a mixed bag, but I’d say lower mid end casual wear for the most part. I think it’s geared more toward teens and college students, but there are exceptions. I did find some nice pieces, but you have to dig. Watch the stains. I purchased a top and came home to find a very large oil stain that was not even able to be fixed with dry cleaning, which was a loss. I’ve sold to this place and was a bit disappointed in what my items(nice onces, mind you), were being offered, but sold them anyway since the rest went to goodwill. Smarter to take the store credit option at 30%, vs. cash.

Like other Unilocalers experience passed over a lot of high end basic clothing in excellent shape. It was the owner who priced them and picked Limited things I had and she was not a very warm friendly person. How you get your credit card you just get their business card with an amount on the back. How do I know when I go to redeem my money I got from there it’s going to be taken anyone could write anything a back of the card. They didn’t take my name or anything. Lots of basic T-shirts which you can get a lot cheaper at Target or Marshalls I didn’t understand that store i will never return

Plenty of women’s stuff. More of a consignment shop. A lot of high end designer things. Louis Vuitton, Tory Burch, etc. A lot of dresses and a bunch of ladies shoes. But pricey the stuff is priced high. You may as go to the mall and get it new. The only draw back is the limited to none mens selection. Seems like they have no idea about mens style nor brands. They had a club room brand dress shirt for $ 16. I can go to Macy’s and get the same shirt new for thst price. Seems like the focus is only women. As far as vintage, I didn’t see too much. Still a nice store to pop in but I wouldn’t be pressed to bring my girlfriend back here.

While I was immediately impressed with the store and the items they sold(name brands, high-end) and it seemed to be well organized for a consignment store, my consigning experience was not good. It felt like the person who was looking at my clothes had ZERO experience pricing items and knowing what was in style and would sell. There didn’t appear to be any manager available either. I did have some fall/winter items which I can understand they won’t take, but other items they passed over made no sense. I also don’t think she knew how to process the transactions. She gave me no itemized receipt and was just willy-nilly putting price tags on things. She then took 15% of the 30%(consignor fee) to come up with the $ to give me. It should have been 15% of what the price of the item. She wasn’t do her math correctly. I have done a lot of consigning over the years and rely on the store owners to really look at my items and make decisions based on quality and brand. Progress barely paid attention to me. I won’t consign there again due to lack of experience among the staff and their professionalism.

This place is such a good find! I stumbled upon this place driving down North Avenue coming from my doctors one morning. They have a TON of jeans, blouses and shoes. You really have to dig deep for gems. By the looks of it, they accept all brands to consign(Forever 21, Angels Jeans, clothes are here too). FYI — the majority of the things in here are made within the last 10 years, I wouldn’t bother coming if you had the slightest impression that they have Vintage here, but I literally went through most of the racks and found nothing. Fresh staff, pile high clothes, you surely put a dent in the hour if you need to kill some time!

Upscale Resale at it’s best. Wonderful selection of gently worn clothing and accessories. Tricia-the owner does a fantastic job, choosing her inventory and collects only different and unusual merchandise. The style of the store is amazing, makes you want to stay longer!

Progress recently opened up in Garwood. It is a clothing resale shop carrying a variety of women and men’s clothing, shoes, and accessories. I think this is my new favorite place to shop! There is a great vibe as soon as you enter the store. You will be greeted by a friendly face, who is more than willing to assist all of your shopping news. The layout of the store is very cool. I heard that the location was once an auto body garage or something. Trish(the owner) did an outstanding job in injecting personality into the establishment. There is plenty of merchandise to get lost on, and pricing is very reasonable. All items are in impeccable condition. There is also a program for those who are interested donating items. I believe that one received some sort of store credit, or a discount. If you are in the Garwood area and love cool trendy clothes, this is the definitely a place to check out!
