You have a nice shopping experience here. Everything is clean and it is easy to find the products you are looking for.
The problem begins when you get to the register. Most of the cashiers have bad attitudes. One of the Managers, the woman with the glasses and shoulder length dark hair, is very rude also.
Pathmark is not inexpensive. You don’t expect to spend your hard earned money on groceries, just to face bad attitudes when you hand it to the cashier.

This is a nice quiet supermarket to visit. They have awesome sales on Friday, Saturday, and Sundays. This location is about a 20m drive for me, it’s not the closest to me, but I prefer this area more. It’s always clean, the type of people that shop here are courteous. I’ve had a very bad experience here though. I had gotten laid off from my job and was in school full time and have two young boys. I’m also a single mom. I helped myself by getting WIC from the state which gives u vouchers to buy milk, cheese, eggs, and cereal. I didn’t make a habit of it, it wasn’t welfare, or food stamps. Well when I went to pay the cashier treated me like I was trash when she saw the vouchers. She yelled at me and spoke down to me. When I tried to leave she grabbed my shopping cart so I’d listen to her. I had to yell for a manager, I was so embarrassed that I cried. Little did she know that I went to school full time and had just gotten laid off from work. Not everyone that gets vouchers from the state are losers and bums. What a horrible experience. The manager apologized but it didn’t help how I was feeling. The damage was done. I recently started going to this location again.

This is my secret spot lol when shoprite is packed or I am not in the mood for a crowd I swing by here. Always parking and it’s spotless love this place. As for meats, produce, fish I have no idea never purchased these items here this is where I run when I need eggs, bread, milk, etc and for that they have me sold I recommend them to anyone I know when they say I battled through shoprite for 45 minutes for milk and eggs. Go to pathmark in and out in under 5.

As i said jason is rude to employees and costumer sevice sucks they are rude And whn i went shopping alomost everything was expired expecially the yogurt i even eard an employee saying that they found a yogurt from 2009 they really need to step up managment. Actually if u see something 50% off or even cheap its because it is going to expire. They dont care of costumers if they are going to sell food that is going to expire the next day it is just greedy of them to just sell anything even if i get sick and they never really have good sales like i get ice cream off if i pay 25 $ and they didnt get a free turky this year which was stupid they need to get rid of pathmarks employees seem like family and have fun but managers and costumer service always yells at them it nice to see people working act like fanily. Let them have fun.

I love this store. Everything is always fresh and neatly organized. If you go on a Sunday, the pickings might be slim because their truck comes on Tues I think but other than that, besides the slightly inflated prices of Garwood, this store is clean and the staff is very friendly. i always come here.

Ahh Pathmark. Even before they did some interior remodeling a couple years ago, everything was fine. And now, it’s just perfect. They have everything, and their sale prices are reasonable. Their bakery and produce sections are nice as well. The staff members are very friendly.

This store was updated a few years ago to include an ice cream section (it’s ok.) and a bakery (tad pricey).
Pathmark’s, in general, are none for their great deals & huge sales, but the stores themselves are usually dingy and in ghettos. This one is much better. It’s on the border of Garwood & Cranford and most of the shoppers here are from Cranford, like myself. We take pride in our stores, and this one is no exception. It’s by the far, the nicest Pathmark Ive ever seen. The prices, however, are still «pathmark low» and they even have sales on top of that!
Kings is right down the street, and generally speaking, better then Pathmark except for prices. I go to Kings for things like meat, fish, lunch meat, and fruit & veggies. Pathmark doesnt have a good selection when it comes to certain fruits, veggies, or freah fish. In fact, I wouldnt go near their fish section.ever. The fruit is ok, but not nearly as fresh as King’s.
Basically, Pathmark is for everything else. Things like cereal, pasta, canned goods, the dairy section, and the frozen section.
I used to work in the meat department back in high school. They keep it clean back there, which I was surprised to see. Lots of pride in the back room. They have a butcher come in and cut all the meat so the guys you see are just packers for the most part. If you need something cut, theyll do it for you. If you need a butcher you’ll need to go somewhere else.

Nicely remodeled in the past few years. Good prices.
