I signed my business up for a commercial LAR account. I was told that I would get 5% off of all purchases and sometimes more depending on what promotions they have at the time. 3 days later I used this account to buy 80 dollars worth of stuff and everything went fine! then I go back that weekend to buy a water heater, trim, lumber, and a bunch of other stuff probably over 1000 dollars worth of stuff for working on a rental house. When I told them at the register that I had an LAR account she looked it up and asked for my card. I told her that I did not have the card yet as its a new account and it had not come in the mail yet. She sent me to the customer service desk to ask manager to push the discount through for me. The manager informed me that without my card I could not have the discount? I told the manager that I had just gotten the account and the card had not come in the mail yet and that the last time I was in the store they had no problem giving me the discount. The manager said he could not violate store policy and that I would have to pay full price. Now don’t get me wrong 5% is not much, but its the principal of the matter that was bothering me. I told the manager that if I could not have the discount I would take my business to home depot. His exact words were«good, see ya». Please also keep in mind that I had not lost my temper, gotten angry, or said anything inappropriate to deserve this. All I had said was, I don’t understand why I cant have a discount when I have an account that is showing up in your computer, they just have not mailed the card. Then out of frustration I did say I would take my business elsewhere in what I felt was a polite manor. Did that justify the managers response? I dont think so. So when I left the store I called Lowe’s LAR customer service. Told them to cancel my account. The card came in the mail that following Monday so I ran it through the paper shredder! The funny thing is that I left all the stuff I had shopped for at the checkout counter where i’m sure some lowe’s employee spent 45 min putting back on the shelf and drove to Home depot. The water heater and many other items I purchased were a little cheaper and I ended up saving 11% buy paying full price at home depot!

On 4÷12÷15, I ordered and paid for a garage door from this Lowe’s on Cleveland Crossing near where I live to be installed on my garage to replace an existing door that was rotted. Today is 5÷29÷15 — 6 weeks later — and I still do not have the door installed by them. I have shopped at this Lowe’s for years and never had a bad experience with them until this but this is pretty bad. First, Millwork initially lost my order so it had to be completed twice; that should have been a clue for me about what was coming next. Next, they ordered the wrong door so it had to be reordered. Now I’m having to call them on a regular basis in order to keep things moving. A week ago, when I called, they said the reordered door would be in the following Wednesday. When no one contacted me, I called again today(Friday) and they said that the door came in but no one had registered it with the system so they did that for me. Supposedly someone is going to call me when the installers are ready to put the door on but I’m willing to bet I’ll have to call again to get that moving at some point. All of the people I’ve dealt with at Lowe’s always seem to be very pleasant and communicate well but things just are just not getting done in a timely manner and I’m tired of having to nag them about this. I will never ever order anything like this again from Lowe’s. Maybe I’d have better luck at Home Depot; Lord knows, it couldn’t be any worse. I’ll update this review later when and if I ever get this door put on my garage.

Lowe’s Home Improvement My wife and I purchased a $ 2100 washer/dryer that lasted 3 years. They didn’t want to offer any kind of exchange, or remedy. The worst customer service, the worst company in the world. I will never shop at Lowe’s Hardware again

I love this Lowes. The place is always so clean and nice. The people there are always so helpful. The ladies at customer service are always fast with returning items and making payments. :)

I have been shopping here for several years, whether it be for paint, tools, plants or landscape materials. All staff is friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. Last week I bought a power drill and skill saw. Being somewhat tool illiterate, I asked an associate for help. I gave him my price point and what I needed the tool to do and he gave me several options. I also signed up for the rewards card… not sure if there are actual rewards but it tracks your purchases so if you buy paint you can go back and review what the brand was and what the exact color was. Very helpful.

I figured I should start checking in at this place since it is like a home away from home lately! We’re remodeling our Kitchen by ourselves, so I have a lot of time and money invested in this place. I’m always amazed at how helpful the employees are. Running a gas line to the stove? Here’s what you need! Installing electrical? They have everything. You want your new Appliances delivered free and take away the old stuff? Thats what they do! They have every little nut, bolt, cable, wire, tube, fitting, etc. most of which I never even knew existed(thank goodness Chris does!). And the employees are VERY helpful, knowledgable, and professional. There have been times when we can’t find someone to answer a question or to pull a heavy item, but it isn’t for long, and there are other times the employees are searching the aisles for customers to help. As far as prices go, I do a lot of comparison shopping and I’ve found that they have the best prices. We’re very happy with this store, and the one in Garner too.

This is a huge and fairly new Lowes. So it scores high on selection of products. That said, it also seems really hard to get service in this store or to find someone to help you when you need it. People have been nice when we’ve gotten hold of them. We had to wait a long time in the customer service line today just to ask about arranging for installation of some ceiling fans that we were about to buy. They then sent us back to the electronics desk, where we had to wait some more for someone to show up to help us. Frustrating. They did have a nice selection of ceiling fans for us to choose from, though ;-)
