I want to preface this review by stating that the staff here could not be nicer. Really, they were very friendly and I do appreciate that. That being said, I am finding it hard to give more than two stars on this review for multiple other reasons. I received a groupon gift for a three hour spa package for a «manicure, pedicure, hot stone facial and hot stone massage». The groupon cost $ 130. I have looked at the services menu at Botanicals and cannot seem to wrap my head around what exactly you are getting of value out of this groupon, because what I received I can’t say I would pay $ 130 for again, let alone whatever the full price value is. I had a lot of trouble booking an appointment, as no one would answer the phone. The online booking tool didn’t work. I ended up with an appointment after 3 days of back and forth texting with someone at the salon. A week before my appointment, I called the salon to confirm the time. I called multiple times over the next 5 days, left messages, sent an email, etc. No one got back to me. They never answer their phone in my experience. Ever. I was about to call it quits because at this point I am wondering if I even have a legit appointment as it was all done initially via a text message. The afternoon before my appointment I finally receive a text confirming the time. So I go to my appointment. The first think I notice about the facility was that it was dirty. The floors looked like they hadn’t been vacuumed or swept in a very long time. It was dusty. I honestly almost walked out… but I didn’t. The woman who did my manicure and pedicure was very sweet but this was by no means a spa manicure/pedicure but something I really could have done at home by myself. My nail polish had peeled off by the next day and I have serious doubts about the cleanliness of the foot bath, tools, etc that were used. After the mani/pedi I was escorted to a room in the back of the salon for my massage and facial. I was told the person who would be doing the facial and massage was not there yet but they had called her and she was on her way. Ok, a little odd but I was ok lying on the table for a bit and relaxing. When the woman arrived who was doing the facial and massage, she was also very nice. The facial? Not so much. Whatever product she was using on my face smelled old and again, I could have essentially done the same thing at home by myself. I felt the same about the massage. It did not feel like a professional massage experience, and I have had many. So overall, I was pretty disappointed with this whole experience. Botanicals seems pretty disorganized and as stated previously, could use a good cleaning. I think it is misleading that they advertise as a «spa» when it appears they are a hair salon with a couple of extras(that aren’t nearly worth the prices being charged on their services menu, I might add).

Went in for an underarm and eyebrow wax. Very welcoming environment and extremely convenient location. I was greeting immediately and even taken back for my appointment right on time. The lady who did my wax was amazing. We had a conversation like we had known each other for years. My wax job was flawless and very minimal pain. I will definitely return to Botanicals and be a regular at this hidden gem!

This is NOT a «spa». Go check this place out before you book or purchase a groupon. Maybe it depends on what you are used to to, but all I can say is go LOOK first. More than likely it is not going to be what you were expecting by the description.

Trouble started when I tried to book a spa package. At first, no one would answer the phone. I tried multiple times during the day when they website said they were open. So, I left a message. No one called me back. Someone finally answered after the third day of trying. I would have given up, but I had purchased a Groupon. The Groupon they had advertised was for a three hour spa package. Mani, pedi, hot stone massage and hot stone facial. They pushed me out the door after two hours exactly. I handed the owner my Groupon while my nails were drying. Gave her a generous tip to share with the massage«therapist». They both then proceeded to walk out the back door. Didn’t say thank you, or good bye, or hope you enjoyed your visit, or I’m sorry we’re an hour short today, etc. One of the hair dressers politely said for me to have a nice day. I was the first client of the day. They got there and opened up at exactly 10:01. The rugs and floors were dirty. The nail area needed a good scrub and sanitizing. It was kind of like a one room school house. To the right are the hair stations(2 or 3) and to the left is the small nail area. Straight back behind the receptionist«pedestal» is the hair washing station and to the right is the«massage room». I can’t imagine what the massage room would have sounded like if someone was getting their hair washed. The massage room is sectioned off by sheet rock ONLY. You can hear everything that was in the salon. While my masque was drying, the lady felt the need to eat chips…in the room. I have never had that happen in my life. Oh, and I was super curious as to what a hot stone facial was, but I’ll never know. It was just a regular facial that I could have done at home. Didn’t feel refreshed and I actually felt dirty. Poor job of washing the masque off. I went out for lunch afterwards and my entire nose was still full of masque goop. I recommend a business owner refresher course, a good deep cleaning, and removing the word«SPA» from the business name.

I’ll go with 5 starts here even though I only went once so far for a Massage, however I do have an appointment for a Reflexology Mani-Pedi set up for next Saturday, through a deal I bought with a Groupon. I was extremely happy with my Massage from Connie, it was JUST right, as far as everything goes. The Spa is cute and not far from my home, and includes a row of very busy hair stylists, and also an area for Manicures and Pedicures. The massage room was quiet, peaceful and comfy. The Massage Conversation was just right, thank God it didn’t start with the dreaded«So do you have a boyfriend? What does he do? What do you do?» while I’m laying there trying to forget that I have a life outside my pampering day. I’m really looking forward to coming back, and making this more of a regular pampering place!
