I can’t believe so many reviews of poor customer service and bad products! This Tom Thumb’s is super nice. I was really impressed with selections of food, the cleanliness of the store, and the friendly staff. I come here mostly for specialty items, and their bakery.
If your donut shop is letting you down, come here for a box of fresh donuts for cheaper you can get anywhere else. They have waffles made out of cruller donut batter that are amazing.
Also, I like the small things, like the first time I came to this store they were selling daffodils for $ 2 a bunch. Something everyone could afford. AND their coke can box displays are cool! Reminds me of the ol’ days… most grocery stores don’t do that anymore.

This Tom Thumb location has gone down hill for me. On several occasions, my wife and I, have purchase dairy that has been either expired or molded. The yogurts have expirations dates from 2 – 3 months prior. The string cheese has had mold on it. Just yesterday, we purchase a package of shredded cheese that shows a expiration date of Oct 2015, when we opened it for dinner there was green and black mold. This trip to Tom Thumb has made it our final. We are left disgusted with this location. Whoever is in charge with rotating has clearly no care in the world.

First time in a Tom Thumb in the Dallas area.
Very disappointed at the lack of product and the VERY unfriendly service. As if I was a burden.

I’m only writing a review on the pharmacy here! These people are horrible!!!
I can’t imagine what they do with other people’s prescriptions but here’s what they did with my dad’s…
He regularly takes insulin but takes the kind that is not drawn out of a bottle with a needle. His is already in the tubes and you attach a needle.
Anyway his doctor prescribed these and we dropped it off at the counter. Not only did they give him the wrong amount of insulin needed but they gave him the wrong form also!!!
So we called and the head pharmacist said he would give us just one dose for free that night to make up for their error. We went down there and he tried to CHARGE us for the dose!!!
We were so mad that we walked out and switched our prescriptions elsewhere. They are ridiculous! Customer service is obviously not their priority!!!

This is one of the Tom Thumbs remodeled to the «lifestyle» format. Not sure what «lifestyle» is supposed to mean other then is some trendy phrase attached to everything trying to be upscale and will be dated in five years. Average to slightly larger than average supermarket. They have better meat than most places, and a pretty good selection of seafood. CM it’s not, but they beat the other stores in the neighborhood. Produce used to be superb, but its hit or miss. Not a really good selection of ethnic food, especially considering the area. They have a fair amount of specialty and gourmet stuff. They have also been improving their beer selection. Their deli has surprisingly good soups and sandwiches and other lunch fare. A little pricier that most places, but I think a lot of it is paying for the atmosphere.
