Great atmosphere, patio, and views of the lake. A great place to relax. Food is outstanding as is the beer selection. Servers are helpful and not pushy. Pretzels, sandwiches, burgers and salads are all worth coming here for. They are patient with offering samples of their 80+ drafts to the indecisive types.

Great patio, amazing beer, good food, hit or miss on the service. Love the appetizer selection. One of our waitresses told us the turnover is extremely high. We never see the same servers so this makes sense. We have never had an awful experience here and all aspects aside from the service keeps us coming back. If you visit this location, sit on the patio for the view and don’t come with huge expectations on service.

The patio is amazing! I was amazed with how cool it was right on the lake. Turns out every person I’ve talked to about this patio has the same experience… TERRIBLESERVICE. We had a couple apps but mostly wanted to drink in the sun. It took about 10 min to get our drinks each time and around 20 for a refill. When we asked out waitress, Sarah, to check on us more she argued with us and told us we were getting more than enough attention. I was shocked. My tip is… just walk to the bar for drinks. It will be much faster than having a waitress.

It took over 20 minutes to check out! They charged for my food and drinks and also for the table next to us. I brought this to their attention and they said they would«credit» my card back and start over. My bank statement shows orherwise. I’m not at all comfortable with this whole process and still waiting for a correction. I would highly recommend to others to watch your bill. This seems to be an issue that the customer has to be aware of or face false charges. I will not let this rest until it’s been fixed

What’s not to like here? Outstanding selection of draft and bottled beer, lots of great options on the menu, cool décor, and the big winner… great patio area overlooking the lake. You can sit in the shade or the sun and even catch sports on the TVs outside. Service has always been fast and friendly. We come here often it have never had a disappointing experience.

Been here a few times now and I gotta say I like it! It’s not super special but they have quite the selection of beers, and the service has been decent each time. The food isn’t bad but it’s not the best I’ve had. It’s a cool place to hang out, have a beer, some onion rings or a burger. Sit on the patio on a nice evening as the sun is going down, beer in hand, yeah it’s a good day!

From my experience Tuesday I will not be back. Other than the lake view and fried zucchini I was not impressed. It started with dirty silverware then super slow service. My wife and I ordered a turkey melt with fries and a blu cheesburger. The fries were cold and the turkey melt was missing some ingredients, tomatoes and advacado to be exact. We asked for napkins and never got any other than what came wrapped around the dirty silverware and those were used to wipe up the beer the waitress spilled. Granted that was an accident i was still charge for it. Business did pick up and the waitress kept telling everyone they had a lot of food tickets and that they were short staffed however no one should wait longer than an hour for an incomplete turkey sandwich and cold fries. Should have taken my wife next door to primos where we haven’t had any complaints.

If you like paying for over priced beer, and being surrounded by a bunch of people who think they are beer connoisseurs then this is the place for you. Sure they have a huge list of beer, and it’s fun to be able to try new beers, but just go to a local bar, that serves local beer, and has local music.

They get two stars for the view. The food was as poor as the service. Thankfully mom liked the burger.

I wanted to show my wife the lake and Bass Pro Shops. It was lunch time so we Unilocaled up this spot. Good call. We sat outside with a great view of the lake. Everything was very clean. Excellent service and the food was better than we expected for a pub. They have an incredible beer selection. We will have to give that a try next time!

AWESOMEBEERSELECTIONANDFOOD. Sometimes after a long day you just need a Belgian. When those days come, we come to the Flying Saucer. We came in tonight after one of those days, and appreciated the very knowledgeable waitress who brought us an excellent sour Belgian just like we wanted, without us having to look at the menu, process a lot of information, and make a decision. Yes, it was THAT kind of a day. Good food here always fresh and promptly delivered. We had the Prosciutto and Parmesan pizza, which is always a favourite. We love the pairing of sweet balsamic salty large shavings of Parmesan and smoky slices of Prosciutto on a cracklingly crispy crust. Yum Next time we will try the pork banh mi, which we have always been interested in but deferred on, being big fans of the real banh mi sandwiches at Lee’s. We will let you know how the Saucer’s compares.

Very good selection of craft beers, many of them local. Fairly decent wait staff, although some are very good(aka Ashley), some are not as attentive… and the turnover is terrible. Been going here for over 3 years and it seems the wait staff is hired with a revolving door. Food is decent but tends to be overpriced for what you get. My favorites from the current menu: pizza, bleu burger, san miguel, turkey burger, Reuben, saucer dipster, pretzels, beer cheese soup and the grilled cheese. I don’t like that they don’t have any free snacks like popcorn, nuts or chips. Wednesday’s are brewery glass night, buy the beer, keep the glass. They also have a beer club… on my 3rd plate. One of the best reasons to come here… atmosphere. no idiots frequent this place. Everyone is chill and just here to drink great beer. Although the parents who bring their toddlers here should reconsider… it’s a bar. I’d recommend this place to anyone who likes to experiment and try new beers… don’t come here for a Coors light for crying out loud.

Had to get out near the lake, and this place had a really nice view. Was told by locals to go here for the atmosphere, food, and beers. I got to sample some new beers, and had a really good bahn mi sandwich and a salad. It wasn’t your ordinary bar food, it had some unique menu items and everything was fresh. Too bad I didn’t get a chance to get back.

If you don’t like beer, that’s ok, just come for the food. They have excellent food all around. The prices are pretty reasonable but make sure you check your bag if you’re getting your food to-go. I’ve had some pretty messed up orders more than once. Now for the beer, well this is a place where every bartender knows more about beer than you probably would ever care to. They can usually get you sorted out with something you can drink and enjoy, but it could take a few tries because there’s almost too much beer to choose from. The trick is, think about what kind of beer you’d like to drink before you go in because it’s pretty freaking overwhelming. Long story short, come and check it out. If not for Booz, then definitely the food.

Always great food. My favorite when I am not watching what I eat is the Angus Nachos. The chipotle sour cream sauce is great. I order this as a meal even though it is on the appetizer list. The order is huge. It is enough for 4 people as an appetizer. Hubby ordered the special of the day for Friday the Philly cheesesteak and it was great with pipping hot fries. He enjoyed it very much. He had a Firestone 2014 Parabola beer which was excellent. The waitress was great. Love coming here for lunch when it is not as crowded as night.

Two words: Rocket. Tots. That might conjure up an image of a speedy kid, but a rocket tot is so much better. Think cheesy, jalapeño-filled potato goodness, served with some kind of delightfully tangy dipping sauce. That’s right, these tater tots were sent straight from heaven, barreling through every cheese wheel and jalapeño patch they saw until they ended up on your table, ready to be devoured. I dream of rocket tots. Y’all know that lady from Freaky Eaters who ONLY eats cheesy potatoes? Remember how she’d start crying and freaking out if you even put a vegetable in her presence? I bet this would be a good way to get her to eat something green. She probably wouldn’t even notice the green bits of jalapeño as she shoved these crispy little bites into her mouth. I’m just a regular humanitarian, helping freaky eaters everywhere. Baby steps, y’all. Given that you’re in Rockwall, this is probably your best option for craft beer. It’s Flying Saucer, so they’ve got something for everyone — they’ve got dozens of choices for everyone. I have never been let down by a recommendation from any of the fine waitresses who have helped me. That’s right — every single beer they’ve suggested, I’ve liked. That’s impressive. I finally, after visiting this place numerous times, decided to join the UFO Club. That’s right — I’m an official beerknurd. For only $ 18, you get a cool shirt, a membership card, and several other perks. The point of the membership is to try 200 different beers. Sounds awesome, right? It gets better. When you reach 50 beers, you get a $ 5 gift card, when you reach 100 beers, you get a $ 10 gift card, when you reach 150 beers, you get some Flying Saucer swag, and, at 200 beers, they’ll throw a $ 100 pint party for you and your friends. You’ll also get a saucer with your name and a quote of your choice that goes up on the wall, along with everyone else who has completed the 200 beer challenge. That’s pretty darn cool. You can only try three new beers each day, though, because they want you to be responsible. No big deal. The food is good, too. I’ve had the fried catfish, the fried shrimp, the stuffed jalapeños, the hummus plate, and a turkey sandwich. Everything has been tasty and I really like their french fries. I’ve heard the burgers are really good, too. They have a pretty good variety of options to suit any taste and I really have enjoyed every single thing I’ve tried. Mainly those rocket tots, though. Let’s not even lie. It was the rocket tots that kept me coming back, and now the beer is helping, too. Because I’m going to get my name up on that wall and I’m going to eat every single rocket tot along the way.
