This place opened in the old Williams Chicken. The dining room is dark and sparse. Very lack luster and there are no pictures just big posters of their menu and specials. Since it is the old Williams Chicken it wasn’t very clean either. It looks like the new owners just bought the place, ordered a new menu board and signage and moved right on in. Everything about the place still reminded me of Williams chicken. There were two tables occupied when my son and I walked in. We walk to the order window and ordered two combos to-go. The combo number 24, is popcorn shrimp for $ 6.39. It comes with 2 sides and a medium drink. Combo number 8, 1 piece of catfish fillet for $ 4.39. It comes with 1 side and a small drink. We took it home and the catfish fillet was a little undercooked. It still looked a little translucent when you break into it. I was put off so didn’t finish my catfish fillet. The okra that I ordered for my side was excellent though. My son’s popcorn shrim was way better than the catfish. It was crunchy and the shrimp was fairly big. He didn’t like his corn nuggets and I thought they were so so and I’ve had better. The french fries were run of the mill and we didn’t care to try the roll, which happened to be very soft. The softdrinks and tea didn’t taste as if they came from a fountain. They tasted a bit flat and stale. I think if I crave for catfish again I’ll make the drive to Mama’s Chicken and Waffles instead.
