I recently tried a «taqueria» place similar to this one in the area that offered trompo tacos and I was very disappointed. I usually don’t try places like these out when the majority of places around are just fast food. I feel like it’s not the real thing. However, I went today and ordered quite of few different items. I looked for trompo, and I saw they didn’t have trompo tacos. I ordered their tacos, and chose asada. They were very well seasoned and not greasy like other places I’ve been to. The fajita tacos were also great, but I prefer the asada tacos now. I got their quesadilla, and let me just say, I thought I would get a tortilla folded in half with some cheese. To my surprise, the quesadilla was very flavorful. I chose to get mine with the pico de gallo. It had a kick that was just right, and the onions were cooked with so much flavor. This is one of the best quesadillas I’ve tasted and I didn’t even expect to have liked it as much as I did. My friend got the green enchiladas and those were delicious! We like spicy foods, and these were spicy yet you were able to enjoy them without having to drink water after every bite. I expected tex mex food, but they really do have great seasoning to their food so I was pleasantly surprised! The reason why I liked this restaurant even more is because as soon as you come in, they greet you and they aren’t running around like chickens forgetting if you’ve ordered already. I enjoyed how attentive they were from the beginning! I will definitely be back for the quesadillas!

First of all I have a history with this restaurant. Years ago I worked just a few minutes away at a bank so we frequently ate the Mexican street tacos for lunch. We always loved the food and eating there was a treat. But that was over 7 years ago. Flash forward to today. I ordered 2 carne(street) tacos complete with diced cilantro, onion with the lime wedges on the side, my usual. The meat is the main attraction of any taco. With that said, it was obvious that they skimped on the quality of the beef. It was constructed perfectly, seasoned well and all, but I couldn’t get past the poor quality beef they used. Huge disappointment! Maybe the chicken is better? There are Several better options for cheap tacos. I’ll just drive past this place next time.

Ok, first of all a chicharon taco is *not* fried pork rinds. Its some ungodly fatty skin layer that I would not wish upon my worst enemy. Ordering snafus aside, I was pleasantly surprised to find a local taqueria which compares well against far away ones. I chowed down a handful of steak and a few randoms. Alas, there was no tripas, otherwise this joint held up real nicely.

Tacos! I work 20 minutes away and I take the time to drive all the way here to get my taco fix. I posted a pic on here of their menu, but basically it’s tacos, burritos, quesadillas or tortas. They are cash-only, so be prepared. The difference with these tacos are that they put a little oil when they heat up the tortilla, so it’s not all dry like other taquerias. The meat is also very flavorful compared to others. The little lady at the counter only speaks Spanish, but I’m sure it’s not hard to say«5 Carne Asada Tacos». If you’re in the area and you have cash, definitely stop by.
