Southern Maid Donut Flour Company

This is probably the best donut store in East Dallas just try their glazed donut trust me you will not be disappointed.

I went here after listening to all other other review’s and was disappointed. I’m not sure if I went on a bad day or not but it was very mediocre, if that or below. I’ll try it again soon but as of right now it wasn’t something to come back for.

I bought an apple fritter and four mini cinnamon buns – everything was fantastic! It seems like there is a resurgence in Southern Maid donut shops, and this location opened (I think) earlier this year. I remember growing up on Southern Maid donuts, and I look forward to returning here for more donuts, as well as the omelettes, burgers, sandwiches, et al.

Hot and Creamy. Yea, I heard that! If you’ve never had a Southern Maid Donut… really. I can’t even be seen with you. It’s also unfortunate because you’ve never had the feeling of said donuts melting in your mouth. Literally, they melt.
This place is balls out. Fresh made donuts daily, made to order omelets, breakfast sandwiches, kolaches… etc. They open at 5am, have a drive thru and serve coffee. I mean what else do you need that early in the morning? They make it all easy for ya’s! Also, if you want to enjoy the hot summer mornings and start off with a good schvitz, I recommend sitting outside on their lovely patio area. If that doesn’t sound soothing, you can sit inside comfortably. Oh, also… sometimes they even have a guy playing the violin outside mid-​afternoon. Interesting.
LOVE that this Southern Maid is here and the fact is has a drive thru, makes my mornings more lazy than EVA!!! WOOHOO!!!
