Sonic Drive In

Tried it again over the past two weeks both times straight order and both times delivered to the car incomplete had to send it back and they still got the order wrong! I don’t know if these stores have training or even managers but the staff at night just seems dimwitted, uncaring and totally lost! Lots of sonics recommend find another one or better yet get some ice cream from the super market and make your own desert!

Not a fan of this sonic but I still use it because it’s so close to my house, and regret it almost every time. One of my biggest pet peeves is when they stuff my cup with ice and i get 2 sips of a drink. They are continuously short staffed, I’m assuming because the manager is cheap and doesn’t want to pay more employees or give you a decent amount of soda that you pay for. It never fails there is something wrong with my order or something they forgot.

Coming back from the gym, I wanted something quick but apparently I found a metal zip tie in my sandwich. I am very disappointed at Sonic’s staff for their laziness…

My food came fast! I was expecting the worst so I timed it. From the time I placed my order to the time my food arrived, it was five minutes. My order was placed at 12:07PM. I ordered a Chicago dog and french fries for about 4 bucks. The hot dog inside was TINY (skinnier than the pickle on top) but at least it was tasty and, with fries, it was enough for lunch.

It has been newly upgraded and fresh paint so it looks nice. Touch screen order screens are nice and service is good. Smiles when order brought and came quickly! Needs a little more detail to corners and grounds but overall good service and food.

Late night crew on 8÷25÷14 having a party but no customers invited. Tried ordering to no avail and finally gave up. Waitress finally came to car and said they were busy and seemed to think it was funny that they weren’t able to take orders.

This is the worse Sonic in the history of Sonics! A car hop dropped a whole cherry slush on me and all over my car. I wasn’t so pissed about the drink wasting as I was about the chain of events that took place after. First of all, after spilling an entire red slushy all over the interior of my car and ruining a brand new dress I had just taken the tags off of the idiot car hop just stood there and looked at me apologizing. I had to tell him 45 – 60 seconds later after standing there dripping of slush to go get napkins. On his was into the store he turned around to speak with a co-​worker and they both began laughing. I’m not sure what they were laughing about — I would like to believe that it was something other than his blunder but in any event as I stand there dripping wet and as red stains set in to my carpet — this was NOT the time for that. He then brings me out a few napkins and hands them to me. I tell him — no you get it up. And I proceed to the inside to ask to use the bathroom. I go inside and ask for the manager — I tell him what happened and he is even more dumbfounded than the idiot carhop and he offers no apology but just stands there looking at me. I attempt to rinse the stains out of my white dress — no bueno! So this manager who does nothing comes out 5 mins later and offers no apologies nor do they even take the time to wipe my vehicle clean — leaving gobs of slush all over my floorboard. Well needless to say the area manager was no better when I contacted him. I asked to have my carpet cleaned and a reimbursement on my newly ruined dress. This jerk goes to the detail shop AFTER I drop my car off and instruct them to NOT detail my car but to attempt to wipe the cherry stains off. Well the detail shop — that the area manager suggested by the way — does just that and after leaving my car at Star Car Wash at Garland Rd & Belt Line in garland for several hours I return to find my vehicle in the same shape i left it in. At this point I am livid. I will be contacting their corporate office this morning. Do not visit this Sonic. The chain of command here is a piss poor example of what management means and if they drop a drink or anything else on you do not expect any type of reconciliatory response from this establishment.

I’ve never been to a worse Sonic. Pay attention to those reviewers who have had bad experiences even though they give high stars. Every time I’ve gone there I’ve had to wait 10 – 15 minutes for my order — even when it was just a shake or slush. As other reviewers have said after a certain time of day you can only go through the drive-​thu. Once I found this out by waiting for around 5 at a stall, pushing the button and wondering why no one was answering.
There’s always something wrong with my order. If it’s a slush, it’s either too watery or the ice chunks are too big. I tried to get one of those blended ice cream/​candy shakes and it was already melty when they brought it to me. Burgers regularly just don’t taste right.
Stay far away from this location. Fortunately, there’s a much better one just a couple of blocks over near the Sam’s.

I’ve been here twice. First time was horrible. I went at around 10 in the morning. It was not busy at all, probably 3 – 4 cars in all. However, it took 5 – 10 minutes to get my drink. Also, the person that I was speaking to was not very friendly. Second time was better. Maybe 3^rd time’s the charm?

It took ages to get just a drink here BUT who can complain when its half-​price happy hour?!
The car hop was friendly when my drink finally made it out to me.
Getting in and out of this location is a little crazy. Bring your patience!

I stop by here every once in a while and I’ve never had a bad experience.
The wife is sick and wanted a shake, so off to Sonic we went *and* what do you know, it’s half off all shakes after 8pm!
The wife wanted an Oreo™ shake but it’s not an ingredient to their shakes. I asked if we could get an Oreo™ shake and the guy on the other side of the speaker said, «if you put Oreo™ in anything, it becomes a Sonic Blast™.» Thanks for that clarification!
The wife got a small pineapple shake and I got a large strawberry shake all for under $ 4, $ 3.45 to be exact.
I really like their food, it’s regular fast food. I like the coneys, onion rings and tater tots. Even their breakfast burritos are tasty.
Check it out, you’ll like it. Just don’t eat it every day.
