Mimosa Nails

I recently began looking for a new nail salon… And I was picky because I’ve been going to the same nail salon since I moved here. Then… I discovered mimosa nails! Mary was excellent and very sweet! I made an appointment for my lunch break for a full set and eyebrow wax and only had 40 minutes. She did an AMAZING job. And with time to spare! My nails look natural… the shape and color is amazing! I’m very happy I found my new spot! All their prices are very reasonable… $ 18 full set or $ 22 pedicure. Eyebrow wax was $ 8.

The eyebrow lady is JUST THE BEST. the prices are low so yes some of the work may not be the best and yes the salon doesn’t look all that pretty inside. but I mean the eyebrow lady knows what she’s doing I usually get my eyebrows done with her and then when I go to other places I can instantly see a difference. the nails aren’t all that great I got my pink and white nails from Kim and she did an amazing job unfortunately she doesn’t always have the time do my nails last time I came a young man did my nails and he didn’t do as great as Kim’s. I was in a rush when I went (I had to catch a plane fight) so he rushed through the service.

Seriously? Don’t even bother coming here. The manager is very nice, but the manicurists leave little to be desired. The only reason I came here today is because it’s very close to my house. Normally, I go to a nail salon in Rowlett. They give you drinks there.
I digress. Granted, Mimosa does good eyebrows, but today was awful. A young man did my manicure today. A dry manicure. No water, no soaking, no nothing. I had to tell him what to do. He filed my nails and trimmed my cuticles without soaking them first. Then, he decided he wanted to put lotion on my dry hands (nail dust and all) not allowing me to wash my hands first or let the lotion or oil to soak through. When I tried to explain to the manicurist and the manager that I wasn’t happy, she just directed him to put oil in my cuticles again. He, then, told me to wash my hands and put the lotion on myself. Nice. They didn’t understand what I meant when I said I could have done that at home. Actually, I don’t think they understood me at all. Sigh…

Came here with my family for our girls day out based on Unilocal reviews and they did not disappoint. The ladies all did a great job on our pedicures. Each spent a lot of time and were meticulous in their work. We will definitely be back.

Kim was awesome. So careful and concerned she did a quality job. I’ll definitely go back.

This was my first time getting my eyebrows waxed and nails done in over 3 years and I have to say it was a wonderful experience! Kim was great and they worked really fast, I had an eyebrow wax and solar nails and I was able to get back to work before lunch was over! It is close to my job and inexpensive for great service :) I will be a regular there

Although very busy on the day I went, the staff never rushed any client. I had the deluxe pedicure and it was worth the price. They are conveniently located, reasonably priced and friendly!

This is one of the very few places I go to get my eyebrows done, and it’s a 20 minute trip for me. Nancy, the owner, is really friendly and always does a meticulous job taming my wild eyebrows.
