I moved to the area recently and finding a competent dentist was a priority on my list(sadly moreso than a family doctor). After perusing my insurance’s list of dentists and scouring internet reviews, I decided a dentist with credentials just as long as their name was a safe bet. The location and exterior of his office don’t seem amazing, but walk inside and you’re greeted with smiling faces and a homey office. I’ve been 5 – 6 times over the past 12 months, and I’ve never had to wait more than 5 minutes. To start, I’ve never had a dentist actually measure the gaps in my gums, so it was kind of cool they this office did. Albeit uncomfortable sometimes, it’s useful to know and gauge progress. Be prepared to have the exam as your first appointment with a pretty thorough consultation with Dr. Burnett. Cleanings have gone just dandy with no complaints, along with a few cavity fillings. Dr. Burnett does a great job administering the local anesthesia shots. I never feel anything other than his fingers. I also recently had my top 2 wisdom teeth removed by Dr. Burnett(already had the bottom 2 out), and everything went perfectly. The entire appointment only took 50 minutes or so from beginning to end. They offer nitrous, but I didn’t opt for it(I’ve never tried). Painless! The day of the extraction, I was out of it, but I had zero pain the day after. None! I was so amazed. Follow the care directives for the next 48 hrs, but otherwise he did a really great job. I happily recommend Dr. Burnett to friends and family(I even got the BF to come when he hasn’t been to a dentist in over 10 years– and he likes it!).
