Four stars alone on their potato salad. –1 for the grease. SO. MUCH. GREASE. The sausage doesn’t have a good snap to it, it was mushy and greasy. I expect some grease, I mean it’s bbq but it was too much. I couldn’t eat it at all. It seemed to be too much rub on the ribs til it was just mushy and falling off. Oh and did I mention the amount of grease that was on the food. I probably won’t be going back. Maybe to see if they can redeem themselves.

Best baked potatoe and brisket… Very large portions. Also need to eat their ribs, at least try the 1⁄3 rack.

Simply the American dream. These people appreciate their customers. The bbq is fall of the bone good and smoked to perfection. The portion size is super generous, more than you can eat. And best of all the price is unbeatable. Best bbq in Texas for the buck. Love it when the customers are treated like family.

I went here for dinner with my dad last night and it was awesome! I ordered the 2 meat plate, sliced brisket and ribs. The brisket could have been more tender but the taste was great(I love the smoke/char on the skin). The ribs were excellent I wouldn’t change anything! My dad ordered the 3 meat potato(ribs, chopped beef&sausage). He loved it especially the sausage(I agree). He did mention it was to cramped in the container it was served in but that didn’t stop him. Their sauce is great, we were warned about the«Hot» so we avoided it. Nice big screens and a pool table! We dined in and watched the game. I liked the atmosphere. My dad noticed a few guys hanging outside and mentioned the owners need to monitor that because it can be a bad look for the business! I’m glad I found another awesome BBQ place on this side of Dallas!

It was awesome! My husband and I got the ribs, pulled pork, brisket and links. All were delicious, but those links had SO much flavor! Pulled pork was awesome! Try their iced tea. Not sure what they put in it but it has a different flavor than regular iced tea, it’s great!

The owners of this restaurant are awesome people and the food is good too. I went there this week just to support the business that came to feed the volunteers that were serving the tornado victims in the Garland/Rowlett area and I was graced with good food and friendly service. We got there just as they opened and we getting food fresh off the pit. The brisket was moist and flavorful while the chicken had the right amount of smoke. The sides were fresh(cabbage and potato salad) it couldn’t have been better. In your craving for Bbq and you live in the area you should check this place out!

We moved to GA, from here almost 2 years ago. We just got back and decided to go to one of our favorite BBQ places, Double S. Got there to see it was now III Fellas. We decided to stop in and see if they compared. The overwhelming answer was NO! And not for the better! The good: nice people, green beans and Mac & cheese were perfectly seasoned a yummy. The bad: brisket was tough, ribs were dry and just CAKED with a rub that was way too savory. The guy ASSURED me their BBQ was much better than Double S. He was mistaken. I drink sweet tea regularly… probably too much for the average human, so I’m pretty picky. Theirs tasted like instant lemon flavored brisk tea(which is terrible and just tastes like spoiled lemons). The sides were good, and the people were nice. But the BBQ, the main event, fell so short! Won’t be going back. Sorry.

Finally a great black owned bbq spot on the North side of town! It puts all the commercialized bbq places you shame. The owners are very friendly and accommodating. They have excellent ribs, brisket, loaded potatoes and awesome homemade bbq sauce in regular and spicy versions. My favorite is the spicy sauce! The meat is always tender and has an excellent taste to it. The prices are very competitive and the portions are large enough to save for a snack later on. They also support other groups within their local community by letting our group swing dance at their restaurant twice a month. Thanks 3 Fellas!

I’ve heard so much about this place and I was VERY disappointed! From the food to service. It was not a pleasant experience and we drove all the way from Denton. Sooo many words… I won’t be back

Stopped in one night, I was the only one there. I had the the sliced brisket sandwich with mac&cheese. I was a little concerned since the place was empty, but it was great! The guy at the counter was very nice as well. I’ll be back.

Just had some of the best ribs I have ever eaten. They were perfectly seasoned and cooked, and so much meat on them! I could only eat one. Had cabbage and potato salad sides, both were great. They also make their own excellent sauce. The staff is friendly and helpful. Definitely a place to eat several times a month.

What a great place for BBQ, plus the service was excellent! Our sandwiches were stacked with tender beef, which was complemented by the delightful sweet sauce. The cabbage was perfectly cooked and seasoned and the banana pudding put the final touch on a scrumptious meal.

This was my first time Brisket– was the best thing that was on my plate. It was not the most tender but it was very flavorful Ribs — they were small but some of them had some size to them. They used a dry rub that had quite a bit of brown sugar but they were good. Mac & cheese — it was nothing to scream and shout about. Cabbage — this was my personal favorite. It was cooked perfectly, not too spicy but it had a kick to it. You won’t be disappointed with this choice.

Came from Desoto to try this place after reading the reviews. I must say the reviews were spot on! I had the 3 meat plate with ribs, brisket & pulled pork and mac & cheese and green beans. My guy had the 3 meat as well with ribs, brisket & sausage and potato salad & corn on the cob. Each meat had its own flavor, most places the meat tends to all taste the same. The ribs were slightly spicy with a hint of smoke flavor, not overpowering at all. The brisket and pulled pork were tender and flavorful. To my surprise the sides really good. The mac & cheese wasn’t that neon orange clump of pasta and ‘cheese’; the green beans were well seasoned and had onions in it; the potato salad was the biggest surprise of all it had a good consistency flavorful(tastes like it was made with mayo, mustard & relish). The corn on the cob basic… nothing extraordinary. The bbq sauce is spicy with a slight twang. The service was good and friendly; even enjoyed the Christian music they played on a Sunday afternoon. All in all I will definitely make several trips back because it is well worth the drive. Try the banana pudding too! Nice way to end a delicious meal!

As if they could get any better I stopped in after a movie on Friday evening and woohoo, it’s happy hour and we got free wine or beer with our dinner. Baked potato is still my favorite, it’s huge and you can’t beat the price!

Mixed feedback for III Fellas. Sausage was quite spicy, but was good. Brisket was VERY dry! No fat to it at all. BBQ sauce was okay. Potato salad had too much mayo. Green beans tasted canned. Mac and cheese was decent, but not amazing. Based on this visit, we will not plan to return. I was quite disappointed after the hype of the other reviews. Odd side note: Whole Foods’ brisket was far better!

So far the best BBQ I have found in the immediate area. I enjoy locally owned places best. I’m a person that goes for the meat and the sauce when it comes to what I’m looking for. The chopped beef sandwich had a good portion of meat on it that was smokey and tender. The sauce is made their and the mild was wonderful. Not too running and not too thick. Good rich flavor. If you want a review of anything else like sides you’ll have to look at other reviews.

First let me say that I am a BBQ snob from Kansas City. After being in Dallas for 14 years I just hadn’t found a place that even compared to the BBQ from home… until today… this girls life was officially changed. I could tell when I walked in that this was some good down home cooking! I ordered the BBQ brisket, baked beans, green beans, mac and cheese and the BANANAPUDDING!!! The meat was seasoned perfectly, the mac and cheese melts in your mouth, the green beans had the most delectable potatoes and the the BANANAPUDDING… sorry I just passed out and came back to consciousness. …DONOTLEAVEWITHOUTBANANAPUDDING! Hands down the BEST I’ve ever had. Sorry Mom… I still love you! If you are in Dallas it is worth the drive. They are also BYOB and offer free wine and beer every Friday 5−9pm! Go give these guys a try! It was with the drive :)
