DON’T HIRETHEM! I called them to have a door replaced at $ 90 per hour, for two hours. I call office next day to send me the bill. Four days later, the owner shows up at my door to collect bill. I thought it rather odd that he personally came by but I gave him his money. Then he proceeds to badger me that the workers I had in my house were workers from his business. This man told me he had been watching my house, followed the workers to lunch and then came straight to me claiming I owed him the money for the work being done on my house! He continued to interrogate me telling me that the workers were untrustworthy and I wasn’t safe. He went to get his business card out of his vehicle but came back saying he didn’t have any because he was in his wife’s car.(*No company vehicle explains why I never noticed him watching my house). He lectures me on honesty and integrity and finally leaves and then later calls me and then sends texts telling me if I didn’t pay him the money, he was going to sue me! He sent me a babbling, three-page letter trying to intimidate me into paying him. This man is an unethical pompous jerk who thinks he can bully people at his whim. DON’T LETHIMDOTHISTOYOU!!!

Called this company to replace a mailbox; initially they were very nice and scheduled a service call for 9 — 10 am the following morning. When no one showed up or called by 10:15 am(had been told we would be called if there was a problem) we attempted to call — first person said they did not have a contact number and would send a message; the second person hung up when we asked for a manager, and the third person(called at 11 am) repeated what the first person said. I then emailed them — we got a phone call back where the person said they texted us last night. My spouse explained he did not have our cell phone number and was told to «calm down you stupid m* f*». We were SHOCKED. I received this reply to my email(who provided a different name than who called although he claims to be the same person): Steven, we text you a message last night for a reschedule just as we said we would do to confirm when we spoke to you on the phone yesterday. We have been on a conference call this morning and you have been calling our answering service repeatedly. One message is enough to call someone back. Instead you have been calling repeatedly over and over to our answering service as we have received multiple messages for the very same issue. Again Steven one call is enough. Not only did you badger and bully our answering service, when I called you were angry and rude to me as well, when all we were trying to do is explain or answer. I am sorry we can not do business with anyone that acts this way. Again one message is enough, allow someone the time to call you back when they are available to do so as I did and then you were totally rude. Sorry we can not help you any longer, you will need to find another provider for your services, good luck! HomePro apparently thinks inquiring about lack of service as badgering, asking for an explanation as bullying, and telling the truth as rude. HomePro has no problem lying to and swearing at customers which they claim are the problem. STAYAWAY. UPDATE — reply to my email(FYI — the claim we called back«over 5 times» is a lie, as is the loaded use of the word«bullied»): Steven was told yesterday that we would confirm that evening by text or call. He did not indicate a specific number to text to, how are we supposed to know the number he left was a land line? What is the purpose to call repeatedly? Seriously… You/Steven badgered and bullied our answering service. They are merely there to take your message to call back, but to call back over 5 times is irrational and careless. Sorry treating people like that will not be tolerated, please just move on, good luck! Avoid at all costs, I had them install some cabinet pulls in my kitchen. Was originally quoted 350 – 400 dollars for the job. The guy showed up @ 9:30 after I was told he’d be there at 9:00. He then spent an hour and a half at home depot which is literally 2 minutes from my house. The quality of work is decent, all the handles are straight. He did scratch up a few of my cabinets when he pushed the drill through too much. Thank goodness I had some stain that matched to cover up the scratches on my brand new dark cabinets. Then around noon, he took an hour+ break for lunch. He finished the job up around 5:00 in the evening. Apparently he pulls quotes directly out of his nether regions, because my final bill was for 600 dollars. I paid with my credit card, and was charged a convenience fee of 3% that was never disclosed to me until I looked at my credit card statement. I was billed from 9:00 till 5:00, plus materials he purchased at Home Depot(level, and drill bits). The time spent at home depot aside I was overcharged 1 and a half hours legitimately(being late, and an unpaid lunch). I brought this up to the man the next day. He said he would«look» into it. 3 days later I received an email stating I was only overcharged a half hour for lunch(bull), and that he would issue me a refund. I waited for 3 weeks for the refund that was promised to me, after not receiving it, I issued a charge back for the amount that was promised of ½ hour @ 75 dollars an hour. The credit card company issued me a refund in that amount. 5 days later I received a phone call from this man asking me why I issued the charge back in a very poor tone. I explained that I waited for my refund, and never received it so I did the charge back because it was easier than dealing with him directly. I was then told to «have a nice life» and hung up on. He is quite possibly the most unprofessional man I have ever come in contact with. I make it a point to tell everyone I know looking for a handy man, just what a piece of garbage this company is. I wish I could give them 0 stars

I was looking for a remodeling business to do some home repairs. I Googled businesses and started calling the numbers provided to get quotes. When I called the Lubbock number posted on the HomePro Professional Drywall, Painting and Handyman Services website I was sure I dialed an 806 number, however the voice mail recording said something about leaving a message for a 214 number, which confused me. Thinking I dialed the wrong # I hung up and dialed the number again and got the same recording. I figured out the 806 line was somehow forwarded to this 214 number. I decided that I didn’t really want to leave a message and thought I would just call back later in the day and maybe talk to someone instead. I hung up and called the next business on the Google search page. After calling other remodeling businesses and getting their voice mails as well, I decided that I was going to have to call them back and leave messages for them to call me. When I called the HomePro number for the third time I left a message. I received a text message shortly after leaving the message from the 214 number with this exact response, «I’m in a meeting Sorry we are not taking on new clients at this time, please stop calling, we have no availability». I was really taken aback by that response, considering I didn’t know I was interrupting a meeting nor was that my intention. I texted back the following verbatim, «Did not intend to trouble you. Had no idea I was calling a cell phone. It might be helpful to update your website to reflect that you would rather not be bothered by new clients or others might make the same mistake as I did.» The next text response from HomePro I received was unbelievable. Word for word, copied and pasted from the text exchange: «1 your not calling a cell phone & what difference would that make. 2 updates are in process thank you 3 your not „bothering“ us, we simply gave you a courtesy response to look for another service, we are booked @ this time, sorry it pissed you off, try & have a nice day… move along!» I realized that any further response from me would just result in more rude and condescending texts from this HomePro person, so I left it at that. Wow… and that was the«courtesy response». Take their advice and«move along» to a business that will respect you as a potential client.

I had them replace a rotten board around an outside window frame. The quality of the work was good. The service was prompt and courteous. I don’t have any complaints. They charge $ 75 an hour with a two hour minimum, plus materials if needed. I would use them again.
