Holiday Inn Express & Suites Garland E – Lake Hubbard I30

Underrated.
This place is only a 2 star hotel on priceline. I’ve stayed at plenty of supposed 4-​star Hiltons that were complete dumps. The hotel ranking system is antiquated/​broken.
It’s very new, everything’s modern and clean. Free wi-​fi, toiletries, and breakfast with many options — pancakes, cinnamon rolls, meat, fruit, etc.
Cons: Its located in the middle of nowhere, about 25 minutes from Dallas. However, if for some weirdo reason you want to be within walking distance to Bass Pro then rock on!
There are some kinks to work out. The printer never worked and the lobby computer area is too small. They should have made the high-​priced snack area into a business center. The staff has no tech savvy can can’t help with any problems. There was a large insect in my room and the hotel had no bug spray. How can a TX establishment not have bug spray in the summer. They sent some guy who stood on the furniture to smash it with a towel — very tacky and ghetto.

Great hotel, brand new and service is great.
Pros: everything is new, service is wonderful and free continental breakfast from 7 – 10 am is a nice commodity. With cheaper than average this hotel runs about $ 100/​night.
Cons: 1^st floor, thin walls, road noise from highway and pillows are so so. The pool was closed for inspection? 6 months and no pool?!? Bummer :(
Overall the lobby is great, nice ambience and truly a best price for your buck. I will be back, this time I hope the pool works and I’ll be staying in a higher floor away from the drunk people noise at night and elevators

Beautiful hotel at a great value! Very modern and nice. Love the dim lighting and layout of the room. I am so pleased with this hotel. I will definitely be back!
