Discount Tire Store – Garland, TX

As a woman, I LOATHE going to get any work done on my car. In fact, I change my own oil, brakes, change belts, and do other minor maintenance because I have trust issues with mechanics. I normally walk out of a mechanic shop with their diagnosis, the list of parts I need, and my frustration level at an all time high. I did not, however, walk out of Discount Tire frustrated because they talked to me like an intelligent paying customer and not a ‘dumb girl who doesn’t know cars’. And I only went in there to replace a rim, but after talking to the mechanic, he advised me to get new tires, and told me why. Now since I know more about vehicles than your average bear, I was impressed at the time he took with me and I agreed that I should get new tires. I never once felt like he was trying to rip me off, which is normally the case after spending 2 min at an auto shop. I got an awesome deal on a set of tires, and walked out a happy customer, despite walking out having spent more than I planned on spending. My only complaint is that when they replaced the rim, they didn’t tell me it wouldn’t match my existing rims. Other than that, I would definitely recommend going here and I will be a repeat customer!

They told me my tire had to be replaced and offered me a $ 38.00 replacement tire after trying to up sell me. Then when he totaled the order on the $ 38.00 tire it came out to $ 76.00!
Could not afford to pay that amount so they offered me a «manager special» for 48.00. I took it because I had no choice.
I used to swear by discount tire but this experience has me thinking twice about them.
