American Pawn Super Store

Biggest pawn shop have ever been to. Had a fairly decent inventory at pretty fair price. Staff was friendly and helpful. Husband and I were in the area and decided to check it out, many things caught our eye but we were more in a browsing mood than purchasing. Would go back for business if ever find ourselves in the area again.

what attracted me to this place was the size, thinking there would be alot of diversity here. But really they didn’t have that many things. Huge space for nothing. prices were extremely high too. you could get a better deal buying it new from Walmart or just browsing through eBay. waste of time

First time to a pawn shop; accompanied a relative who wanted to sell some of her belongings. Was very impressed. It is a large store, with a long service counter where you queue up to present your items. Someone must have took pity on our confused looks, as we were escorted to a private desk at the side, and personally taken care of by the manager, Roland. Very pleasant experience, and professional. My relative was pleased. She walked off with $ 360 that she otherwise would not have had!

The place has been cleaned up and organized better than a few years ago.
Looks ro be a big focus on loans, maybe short term loans. I did not look real closely at that area as I was looking for items to purchase.
The few items (tools etc.)I would have been interested in purchasing were priced at or above retail.
It was actually ridiculous. Even if you negotiated, it would still be over priced.
Avoid if you are looking to buy.

I’ve been to plenty of pawnshops all over Dallas and this one is definitely the largest one I’ve been to. I’ve been here a few times and saved a ton of money. If you plan on buying anything make sure to have it tested first. The review done by A. B is totally fd up. If you have never been bite by a shark then you shouldn’t talk about it. Of course things are going to be priced high because you have to haggle. Most of everything in Walmart is made in china so it’s going to be cheap. If you don’t know what you are doing in a pawn shop definitely stick to Walmart. This place stays busy so getting someone to help you can be a challenge.

i went in here and bought a i pod touch and the battery was bad in it would not stay charged had glitches took it back becuse they said they would give me my money back when i got their they said exchange only i argued with them for a while and after a little convencing they gave me my money back buyer be ware if you buy it its yours and it was over priced after i talked them down i checked around they where way over priced the tipical runaround double talking dont buy unless your sure its right and the people their seem like they could care less just like everywhere ealse how sad i here christian music in their and yet they rip peope off every day they buy at about a fraction of the price it really costs and no tradein value i had a $ 350.00 guitar and they want t give me $ 50.00 trade in on another yea right not worth the trip go somewhere ealse you will be better off

American Pawn is hit or miss. It’s definitely a «super store» in the sense that’s it’s very large and they have just about anything you care to look for in a pawn shop. The down side is that it feels a little sketchy. I can’t quite explain it, but if you walk in here you’ll know what I mean. I definitely wore them down on price, and I’m sure they still made some decent profit on me. I bought a subwoofer mounted in a box and an amp. Definitely don’t pay the price they have listed on anything, they will certainly come down. Their selection of car audio stuff kind of sucks though, at least it did when I was here. I lucked out finding something that would work for me. There were a few speakers that were broken when we tested them. Make sure you have them test any sub/​amp or speakers before you leave the store with them.

This is a Pawn Store. If you dont find what you are looking for, go back in a week or so. About 50% of my jewelry has come from here. If you dont like the price, make them an offer… You will be surprised. I even have a fav sales person named peggy.

I was so underwhelmed by this place. The prices seem a bit high really and they didn’t have a real diversified set of items to choose from. If you need a gun, riding lawn mower, fishing poll, or jewelry this may be your place. But don’t expect to get to much of a deal. For the floor space they sure don’t have as much as I would expect :(
