I have been collecting comics for over 30 years, I goto any comic shop i can find. I found this nice small comic shop shortly after I moved to Garland. I was looking for a place to start a pull list, shortly after talking to James I knew I wanted to come here. He is a Honest and knowledgable person when it comes to comics and collectibles. I am so glad I found this place and I come here and 1 the week since I have found this place.

Excellent for the neighborhood locals for current issues but this is not a shop worth crossing town for. There’s a wide selection of current issues; they occupy half a wall and are well organized, well displayed There’s a nice well displayed retail selection of glasses, action figures and games. The one big bad part was the back issues. There are tables of long boxes of back issues but there are boardgames sitting on top of them obstructing access, the comics are tightly packed that even when you remove a couple it’s still hard to sift through. Even if you can go through em, they’re all disorganized. They appeared to be in alphabetical order and they did have some comic sets but there were only tabs for the letters. We did find one issue we were looking for, but it wasn’t anything rare that you couldn’t find anywhere else. If you live in the neighborhood it’s a good place to have a pull list but if you’re trying to find back issues older than 6 months this is not the place to go to unless you are desperate for a back issue and want to spend the time looking for a needle in haystack. If the back issues were organized and much less packed, it would make for a better shopping experience and increase the likelihood of buying more comics.

There’s been a handful of crappy comic book stores in this area that were of little help, rude, terrible customer service. They all failed this city. A Galaxy Called Dallas, however, has not. They’re still pretty fresh, but they’re constantly growing and sprucing up their shop. The owners of this place are always nice and helpful. Even when they don’t have the items or genres I’m interested in, they listen and are open to suggestions. They run a lot of fun events for customers, game nights, drawing nights, and more! I think the only thing they lack in is their manga and animé section. It’s one small shelf for now, but they’re looking into expanding it. It’s become my «main» comic book shop and I frequent it several times a month, if just to visit. Be sure to check them out!
