I would never order a pizza from this place ever again after giving them my credit card number three times the girl’s still got it wrong and it was declined and they delivered the pizza anyway after calling and complaining I was hung up on twice. Who delivers a pizza without calling back to verify the number. And after given explicit directions the guy got lost and the pizza was cold I don’t care if they were the last pizza place on this earth I would never ever again order from them again. They don’t even deserve the one star but I had to do that in order to Unilocal

Just ordered a pizza with fresh garlic and explained how important it was that it not be the disgusting garlic in a jar. I was assured that it was fresh garlic. Got my pizza, garlic in jar. Inexcusable. Lies to my face.

When I first started coming here it was amazing but the only logical reason for their most recent ill attempts is that they’re new owners and have a lower expectations for the newly hires employees

I firmly believe that a local pizzeria is a staple for any town. If your place of residence is lacking a good tasting pizza, you might want to get the heck out of there quick. Forget about your stuff just get in your car and drive as fast and as far away as you quickly can. Here’s my theory behind why I just said that. If a town doesn’t serve good pizza, or at least a decent one, then most likely people who live there have no concept of what flavor is. And if they don’t know what flavor is then most likely they can’t taste anything. And if they can’t taste anything then they’re probably zombies. So there you go my reason why you gotta run away and run away fast. Fortunately Garfield has this local pizza joint that does serve up some good ol’ food. The fact that it’s only a couple of blocks from my buddy’s house is even better. And as they plainly advertise they’re the only restaurant in town that has a brick oven. So one evening, while chilling out at my buddy’s house, a group of us decided to get out for a while and feel the cold tundra weather that we call New Jersey winter weather. After a rather long, and might I add alcohol-influenced walk, we get to the place hungry and ready to feast. It was getting pretty late but the guy at the counter was more than happy to have us. Even though they were clearly getting ready to close they didn’t complain that we ordered calamari, chicken wings, French fries, etc. in addition to whatever slices of pie was left. They quickly got our order and we devoured it like a pack of fat kids with cake in front of them. I was in heaven stuffing my face with all the food we ordered. Since our morbidly obese selves ordered too much we even had left overs to bring to the house to feast on later. Gotta love it when bros put their bros before hoes! By the way Brad Pitt I want my money back from that awful movie you called World War Z. Zombies clearly can’t run that fast…

First of all… They are a bit misleading. They are not the only brick oven pizza in town but claim that they are. They have something called strambolis. I believe they may be strombolis. They just have trouble spelling. I thought they would correct it by now but they never did. Their Sicilian is their best offering. Delicious. But don’t get the slices. They are one of those places that keep slices around all day so you hardly get a fresh one. Order the whole pie. They have a liquor license. They serve beer on draft with decent prices. In fact, their food prices are great too.

Best pizza in Bergen County! In fact, this place blows away most pizzerias in NYC(yeah, I went there!). The slices aren’t too thick, good ratio of cheese to sauce. Priced at $ 1.50 a slice, you can’t beat it. PLUS you have to love the $ 1 Happy Hour drafts from 4 to 6pm Monday through Thursday. They have Yuengling, Bud, Coors and Okocim(light Polish beer). If you’re sick of the national chains and want a great local slice, you have to go to La Bella’s!

Okay so I’m really not sure why this place has such a high rating but I hope mine brings it down a notch and back to reality. Perhaps the food is better when you dine in rather than get a delivery but here is my take; and I am an expert in pizza. Very tough doughy pie, very greasy too. Sauce is just okay. I am less that one Mike from the place and the delivery guy got lost! Not to mention that the reason why it was cold was because the guy spent 15 mins in the building trying to figure out that the 300 units were on the 3rd floor!!! Really??? You walk around the hallway of the 1st floor for that long before you realize that 300 must be on the 3rd floor. Doctor… never, at least I hope not. Good pizza in a pinch, but if your really craving good pizza this will let you down.

I ordered pickup and had delivery — it was a pepperoni pizza and chicken wings. Great service, great food and a good deal on the prize. Also, had the Sicilian pizza that everyone here was raving about. It was perhaps the best Sicilian pizza I have ever had. It was breadier than the regular pizza, but not too bready and therefore balanced out the taste with the tomato sauce, cheese and topping. I believe the tomato sauce is homemade, if I had to guess. This place is a gem in Garfield, and I would highly recommend it!

Pizza is good… However it all depends on the day of the week and who is making it… sometimes its hit or miss. Friday’s seem to be pretty good.

We had ordered from this place several times in the past and were satisfied(we always ordered extra toppings because they skimp). We always ordered the Sicilian pie and had it delivered. Last month we ordered our usual with extra sausage. A young guy delivered it. From the opening of the box it was clear that this was not a fresh pie. It looked like it had been sitting for a very long time. The cheese was not at all white and it looked like a leftover. The pie was cold despite the fact that I had ordered only 35 minutes previous to it being delivered. The taste was ghastly. All 3 members of my family agreed: This was not fresh and it was terrible. I did something I never do: I called Labella and voiced my gripes about this reject. I reached a young guy(probably the same guy who had delivered). I asked to speak to the pizza maker. The young guy said he was not available and asked me what the problem was. After explaining everything to him he said he was sorry and that they would«try to make a good pie next time). I told him that there wouldn’t be a next time. He offered no recourse and it ended like that. $ 22.00 including tip for the worst pie my family has ever eaten. They lost a good customer for life.

Great crunch but it’s a little on the salty side and the cheese was a bit too well-done. The price is right at under $ 2 for a plain slice. And the flavor was decent if you don’t mind salty. It’s tough trying to imagine having a flavor of someone that enjoys salt. I’m not saying I have a salt aversion, but my awareness is heightened. The ambiance is what you’d expect for Garfield. Garfield is your typical blue collar town and it has a high Polish population. So finding good pizza here may be a challenge. $ 1 draughts during happy hour is a nice draw if you’re a fan of Budweiser or Coors Light. They also have a Polish beer on tap, but I’m not even going to attempt to try to spell it. There are enough tables in the dining room to accommodate a party of 12, and there are several booths available in case you walk into a party of 12. But you can forget about outdoor seating. At least on Lanza anyway…

Pizza Is Still Good Long Time Favorite Eat In And A Have A Beer La Bella Pizza has been a family favorite for many years and as others mentioned the pizza still tastes basically the same after the original owners(Immigrant Italian Couple) retired and sold it to folks who you would not normally consider pizzeria owners. The original owners converted a old man bar and installed a pizza oven beginning a very successful run as small business owners that took them in to retirement by making a unusual but great pizza at reasonable price. The pizza dough is formed by using a large press it’s topped and placed on a screen before cooking. The hero sandwiches, salads and other menu items were always tasty and a value. If you dined in you could grab a nice cold draught beer mug and chat with the owner and his wife who had some vivid recollections of WWII Italy. La Bella Pizza is still good but not what it once was.

I have ate at this spot since i was a kid and the pizza is still the same even though ownership has changed hands a few years back. if anyone else can remember the little old italian guy who used to be behind the counter making pies there, i want to say his name was cosmo? i forget. but he actually taught the new owners his recipes so it tastes exactly the same as it did 20 yrs ago to me. i would give this 5 stars but garfield has went down hill since i was a kid so its not like its in a great area and most of the other menu items ive ever tried just arent really that good to be honest. on the other hand they do carry a decent variety of beer and are really affordable no matter what youre ordering. a large pie i think is like 9 bucks. ive paid up to 18 bucks from other places for a smaller pie than their large and it never tastes as good. they deliver to surrounding towns as well, overall. awesome pizza!

First to review! I can’t believe no one has reviewed La Bella. I love La Bella pizzeria! It is ran by a combination of Polish and Indian people(weird combo!) Lanza street is right off of river drive(not on a main street) This little pizza place looks like it used to be someone’s house and they converted it over. The current owner seems to have kept all the original recipes and flavor! Great job… nice size pie’s with excellent flavor!
