This is a marvelous place. We moved our Mom there late last year. It is a beautiful and well keep facility. The lobby, dining areas, and numerous sitting areas are nicely furnished and very clean. It looks newly decorated. The individual rooms are clean and nicely laid out. The hallways are also nicely decorated and wide. The dining is special in that residents can order meals from a number of dishes. which change daily. My Mom loved the food and, since family can dine with the residents, my siblings and I had several meals with Mom and the food was good. The staff is very helpful and always courteous. There are staff that monitor and distribute medications to the residents and ensure they take their meds. The staff coordinates with medical insurances to take over ordering all resident medications which relieved us from having to make sure medications were always ordered. There is a procedure for residents to check in daily by 9am by pressing a button in the room, and if they don’t someone checks on them. Each resident is given an alert devise to wear around their neck in case they need help. There is a bus that takes residents on motor tours around the area if they sign up to do that. There are other activities available. When my Mom got sick and could not go down for meals the staff would bring her meals in her room. As she became more bedridden the staff checked on her and in her last days when she needed pain and sleeping meds they were there several times a day to administer meds prescribed by hospice. When she fell they came right away and called the hospital to arrange ER help. All the staff was always helpful, kind, and compassionate. If you are looking for a quiet, clean and well run senior living facility, that gives great value for the money, there is no place that we would recommend more highly than Emeritus.
