This truck used to be the 5-Buck Truck. Since it has new owners it is called The Ramblin’ Rose. Per the recommendation of the truck operator I tried both the Kalbi Beef taco and the Memphis BBQ Pork taco as well I added an order of hand cut french fries. Both were placed on soft corn shells, which were lightly toasted on one side. The Kalbi Beef was visually appealing with white sesame seeds on top with shredded iceberg lettuce on top which appeared to be fresh. The sauce was similar to a terryaki sauce over the shaved steak. The steak was cooked well, flavorful, and shredded properly. I added jalapenos and sriracha to the top which added a nice kick. The Memphis BBQ pork was flavorful but could use more sauce. Also with Memphis style BBQ I would expect more a vinegar taste which I didn’t notice. This taco could have also used more meat/more toppings added to appear more filling. My honest opinion: This is a place I would go back to, but not daily because of the prices. However the quality outweighed the quantity on this one making the prices reasonable. I would add more toppings to the tacos. Don’t change the hand-cut french fries as they were everything you expect and more in a fry; salty, crispy, and fresh. Try this place it is one of the gems that will continue to grow in popularity.
