Cruisers has been one of those«hole in the wall» restaurants I have been thinking about visiting and today was the day. My husband and I arrived at the end of the lunch shift and every table was full so we sat at the counter. It reminded me of when I was younger and would eat at the lunch counter at JJ Newberry’s. The food was good old hometown cooking. I had a «Bel Air» burger which had bacon and cheese. The burger tasted like steak and the bacon was crispy. It was served with chips and half sour pickles though you can upgrade to fries if you wanted. My husband had a Reuben sandwich on rye with the aforementioned chips and pickles. We both enjoyed a soda fountain drink. For dessert, I had the dark chocolate raspberry ice cream and my husband had the home made chocolate chip cookie ice cream sandwich. Picture two six inch cookies with chocolate and vanilla ice cream with the edges rolled in crushed Butterfinger candy bar. The wait staff were fast and efficient and the cook was a master of the grill. The pricing was good a and they accept credit cards. I will definitely go there again.

Great service, good food. Prices are good. The place is clean. Portrays a 50’s atmosphere very nicely done. A great place to take family or people from out of town young children would enjoy. Would recommend.

Cute diner. Service and food was good. Didn’t have a milkshake because it’s winter. Cheap food though and good vibe

We ordered a few things for a late lunch. The onion rings were ok at best. The hamburger grinder was decent. We also got a chicken stir fry sandwich. It looks like they cooked the chicken put it on the sandwich roll then dumped teriyaki sauce on top. It was not edible! I will never go here again!

Good breakfast, open early on Sunday, not expensive, good options, huge pancakes, good service! Probably more important, a great selection of pies and nice 50’s décor. The best pies in town – stop in for dessert!

This is a small diner with lots of cool signs and things to look at. The waitress was friendly and attentive. However, I should have known not to order eggs benedict in a dive breakfast type place. I liked the cars, signs, and décor of the place, just not thrilled about the food.

Ive been here a few times. Overall a very solid place. Nothing sticks out but nothing is bad. They have an extensive stuffed french toast menu but i havent tried any of them. I like the ambiance and set up of the place. The service is always solid anls is the food. I actually like this palce better than the blue moon diner in gardner

Had trouble finding a place to park. The breakfast was good, big portions and the staff was friendly. My son wanted to sit on the stools, the only minus to that was we could see inside the kitchen which was not a pretty site.

Great diner-type food, and the waitresses are consistently the friendliest I’ve ever encountered. The vibe is fun and relaxed, the service is great. It’s always a pleasure to go to Cruiser’s.

I use to go here often until about two months ago. The service to get coffee took fifteen minutes and they were not even that busy. I received my food and fruit flies were everywhere attacking. My french toast had strawberries and it was utterly repulsive to see flies all over it. I will never EVER go there again. Gross food

A cute, divy diner in downtown Gardner with mostly bad food. I would skip sandwiches and salads and stick to just pancakes and frappes(milkshakes for those of us not from New England, but if you say milkshake you’ll get something else.)

Breakfast is good at a great price but lunch and dinner are very disappointing here. Service is friendly but painfully slow. I’ve waited half an hour for my check on slow and busy days alike. Fun to have breakfast at the bar however.

I’ve been here twice while visiting my boyfriends family in the area. The breakfast is decent. Pancakes are massive. Coffee is delicious, and eggs and hash browns hit the spot. For the price, it’s a good breakfast, I feel like it’s not the healthiest or freshest food I’ve ever eaten but it’s prefect for a hangover and quite delicious.

We have only been to Cruiser’s once, but it isn’t worth a trip back. My boyfriend ordered spaghetti and meatballs. It was terrible! It tasted as though the sauce was burnt and the meatballs were dry. I got the Pilgrim Sandwich. The turkey was really thinly sliced and bland. The stuffing was made from a box and the cranberry sauce isn’t even put on the sandwich(which left me dismantling my sandwich at the table). The third person in our party got a burger and it was OK, but nothing special. The prices were pretty reasonable and the staff was friendly, but the food leave a lot to be desired.

Food is always great — breakfast specials are about $ 7 and include coffee, so it’s great food at great prices. Most of my fellow EMS workers in the Chair City are regulars here. Eggs Irish is my fave, but pancakes are great and with lots of varieties if you want a sweet breakfast. Fifties memorabilia abounds. Staff are always friendly and quick and work together well.

Was heading out on the motorcycle one morning to meet up with friends in central MA. Stop @ Cruiser’s for breakfast, was pretty decent… nothing mind blowing though.

I had a shaved steak sandwich and it was a bit on the small side, but they sure made up for it with helping of sweat potato fries. Dessert was Belgium waffle sundae. Warning it was enough for 2 people. Otherwise a great place.
