We walked in after being referred to this place. The proprietor was very rude and never welcomed us. She barked the things she was out of with no eye contact or smile. We left. Suddenly Subway seemed a better option.

Awesome place! Highly recommend it. We came twice while we were in Yellowstone park. The mocha is really good. Very cozy place.

VERY sweet little café in Gardiner that just started carrying Little Red Wagon, my favorite local coffee that I used to only get once a month on my trip into Bozeman! My cup runneth over. Terrific place to stop and grab a bite, some coffee, and maybe a book about Yellowstone before you hit the park. And they don’t try to rip you off like some other more touristy spots!

This place is an oasis from the tourists spots on the Main Street. Good coffee, fresh food, friendly and thoughtful service. The shaded outdoor seating provides a relaxed atmosphere with awesome free wi-fi that is better than most. Another bonus is the moose poop ice cream… largest single scoop I’ve ever had. Almost forgot, they charge a very fair price.

Freaking awesome! Perfect combo of food, coffee products, atmosphere, price and service. This is what breakfast is all about! And books too! What they do with what they have is incredible! Must stop in to see, the definition of cozy and relaxed.

Amazing cute lovely atmosphere — delicious homemade breakfast — $ 3.60 for a smoothie! Very quiet — local feeling. Great to escape the zoo of the park and find this sweet corner for espresso and breakfast burritos. Also full of books!

We were here the first morning at Gardiner and loved it so much we came back the next morning for breakfast too. These folks serve a good selection of breakfast items — bagels, wraps, eggs and coffee. I had huckleberry tea with milk and vanilla it was great.

Came in to grab some coffees for the road, and was pleasantly surprised to see such a cute café right outside of Yellowstone. Filled with traveler books/guides, old paperbacks for sale, and some couches and high stools for seating, this place offers a little bit of everything for everyone. I saw a few people on their laptops studying and others just hanging out. Workers were awesome and friendly, and the breakfast menu looked amazing, which includes egg sandwiches and bagels. I didn’t get one myself but plan on getting one on my way out of Yellowstone. Chai latte was one of the better ones I’ve had in my life. Not too sweet, and just the right amount of spice. A large drip, regular latte and chai came out to be $ 7 and change. Highly recommend this place whether you’re looking for a quick caffeine fix or a place to get some studying or work done.

Great cozy place to grab a homemade breakfast on the cheap. Enjoy a relaxing atmosphere looking at Yellowstone books with a great view. Had a breakfast sandwich with 2 eggs, cheese, and grilled ham on a bagel and coffee for $ 5. Can’t be beat.

The family and I dropped in on this slice of San Francisco-ish hipster café in small-town Gardiner, MT in North Yellowstone. Open as early as 7am, Tumbleweed caters to Yellowstone visitors(and locals alike). The décor composed of sofas, well-kept tables, and assortment of books lined against the walls is both comforting and intriguing. Add on the delicious coffees plus assortment of amazing sandwiches + wraps to breakfast burritos + house-made cupcakes, and I’m sold. I’m pretty sure I could spend hours poring over the many Yellowstone travel books with a coffee in-hand and a burrito in the other. The recs: 1. The breakfast burrito: HUGE and only ~$ 5. Eggs, hashbrown, salsa, cheese, and ham all wrapped up in a spinach tortilla… it’s everything one could one ask for in a b-fast. 2. Coffee with organic sugar syrup. 3. Any of the sandwiches/wraps. 4. The matcha green tea icing atop a chocolate cupcake. Fantastic.

I had a very good panini sandwich and tea. I didn’t try their coffee so I can’t comment. It’s a very cute, comfortable place to stop. The service was excellent. I would recommend this place to stop for lunch on your way to Yellowstone.

I was super excited when I saw this café because I used to have a bunny named Tumbleweed… so maybe my expectations were too high. Or, maybe we came upon the café at a bad time… Either way, there was only one girl who had to serve about 15 or so people in the time I was there. She ran out of coffee and became very hasty in making the espresso drinks. But, the food was pretty good still. Hopefully if I visit again there will be more staff…

Perfect place to stop on a rainy morning for coffee and a goodie. Got sandwiches to go for a picnic later. Everything really good except the brownie which tasted as if it had come from a mix, but scones, cornmeal cake, muffin, etc. all fabulous and good coffee too. The triple decker pb and j is genius. Finally enough peanut butter and jam.

Good coffee and chai, good sandwiches. You can buy books here, they have an assortment of fiction and non-fiction, plus photographs from Yellowstone. Plus free wi-fi and an outdoor area that’s good whenever it’s not –10 out. It’s a nice, quiet atmosphere to hang out and read. I stop by whenever I’m in town.

Delicious sandwiches to go at a reasonable price. Unique atmosphere — bookstore and café. This was a great find! The only disappointment was that they did not give us one of the sandwiches that we ordered, and we did not find out about it until we were an hour away. We checked the receipt and they did not charge us for the sandwich, but my husband was very disappointed when he was eating at McDonalds as we were raving about our sandwiches!

I tried two coffee places during my stay in Gardiner and this place was the best of the two. I ended up coming here four times during my visit for their White Chocolate Mocha. This place also had my wife’s favorite breakfast item — a egg, ham, and cheese sandwich. She also liked their Iced Green Tea. My nine-year old daughter liked their caramel steamer.
