Do yourself a favor and drive over to pick up a Chinese chicken salad from here. This salad is always so good and the portion is unbelievably satisfying. I always get a small salad and have more than enough for a full meal. The simplicity of their chicken salad makes it easy to fall in love with. I really enjoy the salad and had to emphasize a recommendation to order it. It’s great!

Food is good, beware … WARNING: Do not order the party tray… They make you wait way too long… I paid $ 50 for small chicken tray w rice, $ 57 for small need tray w rice and $ 37 for medium Chinese chicken salad tray… W tax total $ 156.96. The cashier rushes me due to their line… Price is not well described. Better to buy 10 combo deluxe plates… you get the same amount or more.

I had the beef teriyaki stir fry n Grant had the teriyaki avocado burger. Both are really good. I would come and eat here again if in the area.

I LOVE rascals. Seriously. Whenever I’m down in SoCal visiting family I always come here. Sometimes twice a day. I wish they had Rascal’s in the San Francisco Bay Area. Usually, I order the chicken teriyaki with the salad. Perfection. The chicken is perfectly cooked with right amount of teriyaki sauce. The best food after a workout.

Even during lunch time on a weekday the line moves and you get your food fast. The salad is definitely tasty and the chicken is good as well. The portion is definitely huge. Plenty of indoor and outdoor seating and a decent amount of parking space.

This is my go-to place if I’m craving something quick to eat and go. A lot people go here to eat for lunch and they usually order the teriyaki beef or change chicken. The teriyaki chicken tastes better in my opinion(since the beef is a little dry). But beware, a lot of police officers do come here to eat! My usual order is the large Chinese Chicken Salad and it is sooooo good and strangely addictive! What makes it so special is the sesame dressing which tastes so fresh and authentic that I devour my salad within minutes haha and it’s a lot too… so it definitely fills up your appetite. Sometimes if I’m going somewhere, I would order a salad to-go so I can save it and eat it later. For a salad it’s kinda pricey in my opinion(like a dollar or 2 more) but I’m always craving the salad and satisfied in the end

I was so happy when this location opened. For years, I’d drive to the one by CSULB. When I ate chicken, I appreciated the breast meat option because most teriyakis are served with dark meat. Not to mention, I can eat the Chinese chicken salad every day, minus the meat. It’s something about the ginger sesame dressing that has me hooked. The downside… teriyaki bowls only come with meat and rice. I always want carrots and cabbage with mine. I’m glad they offer a stir fry veggie plate now. But it still doesn’t top the the teriyaki taste. If they’d start serving teriyaki salmon bowls, they may see me every week! Parking here is weird. It’s cramped and shared with a newer built residential complex, by the way.

Dude, that Chinese chicken salad. It’s SO good. Lettuce, crispy rice noodles, sliced almonds, shredded chicken, and mmmm, dat tangy vinaigrette. I(and everyone apparently) recommend the hell out of it. Tuna sandwich was meh(not enough mayo, in my opinion), next time I’d rather get a teriyaki sandwich for that #1 half sandwich/half salad(which is still a hefty portion) combo.

Rascals is my favorite stop for quick and tasty food. Calling ahead makes picking up lunch or dinner such an easy choice! Once you place your order, it only takes about ten minutes for everything to be ready. *If you call ahead, stop by the first cash register to skip the long line! I love their Chinese chicken salad. I buy the large size and end up making two meals out of it. Their dressing is amazing — I’d love to get the recipe so I could make it at home! And of course, you can’t go wrong with their teriyaki chicken — that’s my boyfriend’s favorite. The chicken isn’t dry like some other places. They’ll also give you extra teriyaki sauce — at no additional charge! We will certainly be back time and time again.

I recently tried this place and I already am back to introduce it to my husband. They have another location in Torrance which I went by an accident, but this Artesia location is nicer inside. They have their own parking lot, so parking is very easy to find. After browsing Unilocal,I wanted to try some of everything, so I ordered teri delux with combo meat. It comes with a bed of rice and half chicken and beef teriyaki with sauce on top and Chinese chicken salad. The portion is generous and it only costs less than $ 10 before tax. I think the meat quality is pretty good and I especially liked their teriyaki sauce. They have their sauce available on the side of their store, so if you are a big sauce fan, you can always get some more and add it to your dish. Foods: 4 stars Atmosphere: 4 stars Service: 3 stars Overall Experience: 4 stars

This place definitely lives up to its hype. Believe the Unilocal reviews! I got the deluxe combo which came with teriyaki chicken and beef over white rice. The chicken was moist and cooked perfectly but the beef was a little dry though. The teriyaki sauce was really good, and was amazing when drizzled all over the meat and rice. The best part was the side of Chinese chicken salad. The combo came with a huge side of it, a pleasant mix of fresh crisp iceberg lettuce, green onion, and cucumber. The dressing was amazing! It was a vinaigrette with a slightly sweet flavor. No wonder people were eating huge plates of the salad. Would definitely come back here if in the area. The food was tasty and came in huge portions. Tip: Everyone must definitely come try the Chinese chicken salad!

Before I explain why I gave a 1-star, I will tell you that I am a huge fan of the Chinese chicken salad. If I were only giving a review on the salad, then I would be giving 5 stars. The reason I am only giving 1-star, is because of the french fries I ordered. In all honesty he I had somebody pick up an order for me. They had no idea what I wanted to order before they left the house. I couldn’t reach them by cell either. So I tried calling in my order. I wanted two orders of Chinese chicken salad, but the guy at the restaurant told me that because the salads are already pre-made, they don’t accept orders and I could just walk in. I explained that someone was coming in for me and had no idea what I wanted. So to less complicate things, I decided to add an order of fries. When I receive my food, I tried a fry. I could barely swallow because it was extremely salty. Also I requested extra crispy, but from the look of the fries, they left them in the fryer longer, instead of frying the right way. I took a picture of a burned fry, which was one of quite a few. Followed by a tiny french fry and next to that is the seasoning I rubbed off. I have no idea who prepared the french fries, but that is just way too much seasoning! Rascals has amazing teriyaki and delicious salads. It’s unfortunate they don’t make french fries too good. You might want to request less seasoning. The restaurant is always clean and the staff is always friendly to.

Been a Rascals customer for years starting way before this Artesia location was opened. Always known for the Chinese Chicken Salad and teriyaki. Chinese Chicken Salad is untouchable IMO, I have yet to find a place that has anything close to it. Teriyaki is always good and consistent, always get extra sauce. I typically order the Teri Deluxe plate. Runs you almost $ 10, and you get chicken or beef teri with a side of Chinese chicken salad. Enough to feed two, or enough to give you a food coma. Teriyaki sauce is a bit on the thick side, but still very good. Of all the times I’ve came I’ve seriously only gotten these two items, but they offer a lot of different things on the menu.

OMG, where has this place been hiding during all my lunch breaks. If you go in during this time, there’s a strong possibility of the long, rush-hour line. However, just stay in it, it moves forward quick and food does not take long at all to come out. I’m not a huge fan of teriyaki chicken, but it definitely does looks yummy here, I came with people who come for it often. I got a half sandwich, half chinese chicken salad and it was so worth the $ 8… c’mon it’s only $ 8 bucks and its that good?! Yes, their chinese chicken salad is highly recommended. So good. Something about that sauce combined with their chicken and it’s just addiction. Try their sandwiches too… really freakin’ good. My order looked big and had me full, but because it was so good MENOWTHINKS tis’ was not big enough. Note, kid combos are more like adult size here.

This place is awesome! Their plates give generous portions of grilled chicken and beef, which is great because most places short change you on the meat portions. My favorite dish here is the combo bowl, which consists of chicken, beef, and white rice topped with their tasty teriyaki sauce. You can get the combo with the Chinese chicken salad as well. It’s good to note that their portions are big enough to make up two meals, so save some for dinner too. Weekdays during lunch time is when this place gets very packed, although their line moves very quickly. I came here today on a late Saturday afternoon, and there was virtually no wait to order my food, and less than 5 minutes to receive it.

Located in a weirdly configured strip mall meets home living is this Rascals location. They have 3 locations: this one, one in Torrance by Mira Costa High, and one in Long Beach. If you’re looking for gourmet food, this isn’t the place. If you’re looking for comfort food with good sized portions, come here. My friend Roger loves their Chinese chicken salad, and asked me to meet him here for dinner. I’ve heard good things about the place, but really had no concept what to order They suggested the teriyaki combo plate. So I got the ½ chicken ½ beef plate with the chicken salad for $ 9.95. After walking away, I saw they offered brown rice for 50c more. Oh well, next time. The restaurant is a «Pepsi» place, with just a few varieties of fountain drinks: Pepsi, diet Pepsi, Sierra Mist, Dr. Pepper, Sobe, among the selection. At the condiment station, they offer more teriyaki sauce and hot sauce. The food came out fairly fast, and covering half my plate with the salad, and the other half was the rice and the meat, with a decent drizzle of the teri sauce. The chicken salad was very good. Lettuce crisp, plenty of shredded chicken and sai-fun noodles, and the dressing was tangy and not overly sweet. Unfortunately for this salad, you have to eat it quickly, as it gets soggy. I did enjoy the chicken salad, but wouldn’t «rave» about it. The teriyaki was very good. The employee said she liked the beef better, but I had to disagree. The chicken was more tender and had more flavor. The beef was just ok. Thin strips of beef that was a bit tough, and without the sauce had no flavor. I ended up eating just the chicken portion and took my beef side home. Overall a good meal and easy for 2 people to share. The place is very clean and the staff friendly. I don’t know if I’d think of Rascals first if I had a teriyaki craving or even a chicken salad craving. Giving this place a 3 star. for being A-OK.

I have always liked this place. I first would go to the one in Torrance, then started going to the old Gardena location and now the larger one. The food is always generally good. The service is good as well. They are more than just teri chicken. The hot dog is excellent as well. Today I am trying the Teri Avocado burger. It looks really good, and it was really good. The thing about here is that it is just good food and it is consistent. You aren’t going to get bad food one day and great the next. I also like that they close on Sundays so workers can be with family.

Rascals? I always pass by here when 91W ends I have no choice but to pass by here to go home and I was NEVER interested in going because it seems like it is a fast food place. My best friend who likes to eat here came from LA just to eat their Teriyaki Avocado Burger. She asked me to take a bite but it didnt look too appetizing for me so I refused. I got their Chicken Stir-Fry which is a new item on their menu that comes with rice, veggies(cabbage, bell pepper, onion and broccoli) and of course chicken. The dish was like whatever. I think it tastes just like any other chicken teriyaki. I didnt find them special at all. It had a lot of veggies which was good BUT there were barely any chicken in my plate. They charged me over $ 7 for this and I felt like I got a veggie plate with like small pieces of chicken which looked like dark meat too. Also my friend got a large chinese chicken salad and she forgot to mention that it was a togo and the lady was giving her an attitude for not saying it when we ordered. I know its my friend’s fault for not mentioning that earlier but it was not necessary for her to be so rude to confront her more than once and make her feel guilty. My best friend can come here alone if she has a crave but I want to stay away from this place. Not my type of a restaurant.
