I love Moon BBQ for their spicy pork belly! Moon BBQ has good quality of pork belly selection in the AYCE. I like to come here mostly for their pork. Not a lot of beef option in their $ 19.99AYCE. Just a note, they recently raised their AYCE prices. The side dishes are not amazing but one thing that makes them different, is the cilantro & onion mix. I love cilantro and I love onion, and the combination goes so well with the meat. It’s a pretty small place so I like to get there around 5. 6 or 7, expect a bit of a wait. I do prefer this place more than Gen in the Torrance location. Gen has more variety but quality of meat at Moon is much better. Yellow Cow down the street has even better quality than Moon but it’s not AYCE. Service is usually pretty good at Moon. We frequent this place a lot and haven’t come across any horrible experiences.

I would give zero star if I could. It is just bad practice of business when they give priority to people to came 30min — 1hr later then me and my husband. They crossed out your name and rewrite it after customers who signed in after us FORMANYTIMES. I understand that we need to wait to get in for a dinner on the weekend, but we just did not expected to be treated this way and the owner, yes, the lady with short hair, was just rude and yelled us out of the restaurant.

I really give 0 star but since the waitress was so nice I will give 1star Food — bad but it’s OK. didn’t have any expectation for ayce Korean BBQ Service — good especially the waitress was so nice Owner?(Short lady with short hair) — rude very rude. owner came to our table and asked several times if we are done even i already told her we are still eating I do understand her since there were people waiting outside but keep asking we are done when we are still eating ?? WTF is that?

Long story short: quality of meat is really really bad… pricey to compare other kbbq ayce place… The owner lady was very rude while waitresses are very nice. one of them made all up at the end with her big smile but i have to give the restaurant the true rate for their food. I grew up in this town so i knew this place since this place opened. When it first open it was great, the quality of food and service but unfortunately, it changed quickly so it soon became unpopular among koreans. I came here for sometimes i become lazy to go up K Town in LA and craving for ayce bbq and there always not so many people in the restaurant. Food My latest witness of this environment was 1 year ago. So my friend and i was craving for ayce bbq and we’d normally go Gen but we found on Unilocal that Moon BBQ is rated with 4 stars so we were like whaaa did they change the owner or something? So we decided to try here. Quite a lot of waiting but we got our table in 20 min. Not many koreans, but non-koreans. Oh yeah so it’s what Unilocal does huh. There are two options for ayce, A is $ 19.99, B is $ 25.99(option A + pork jowl, spicy ramen, baby beef intestine +beef tribe). So pricey to compare to other places and it was $ 17 and $ 23 a year ago. Oh well price changes by time. I love pork jowl and my friend loves baby intestine so we decided to invest on option B. We ordered: Pork skin: was ok Beef toung: bad… it was hard and dry while it supposed to chewy and juicy Beef brisket: was ok Last intestine: bad… Hard and dry, no flavor it was like chewing harden rubber Pork Jowl: it came as frozen. oh well i dont expect ayce to use super nice fresh meat so i would understand when the meat comes in frozen, but when you chose an expesive option for it. Not so happy to see frozen meat. And it also was BAD… biggest disappointment among our all orders. Not juicy and dry of course, What’s even worse was that it smells when you eat. I really have to say it really is bad because i am not a sensitive one. Im more of numb one and even i could smell it we could only eat one piece and threw all rest. Felt sorry i had to trash food! Fresh tender loin: bad… To be honest, it was bad a year ago as well. Baby beef intestine: was ok. To be honest… Meats got even worse the my last visit and i don’t really get how this place gets 4 stars. With that pricey menu. Service: waitresses there were nice! I was almost happy with the service until the owner lady came to our table. She was pushing us put to leave as quickly as possible in very rude way because there are people wating in line. I understand the business hopes their guest leave quick so they can accept more customer in certain amount of time. But there are tones of way to mention that to their customer much nicer. Not sure she will treat non-koreans the same way as we were korean. With all the bad food, only those nice service from waitress was holding our mood, but this lady all ruined it. I really have to say this place is bad. If you don’t see much korean people dining in a restaurant, means its bad normally. For ayce k bbq in torrance-gardena area, id recommend Gen on crenshaw (i cant say its best to compare to ones in LA, but its better choice in southbay area) Just reg. K bbq: Yellow cow, shilla, guh mok Much better food with same amount of money.

This is a review from my experience I had here a few weeks ago. I really loved this place because the quality of the meat you get is much better than other K-BBQ available in the area. But my opinion of this place has changed because of their lack of organization which led to many different groups of people to wait up to 1 — 2 hours to be seated. Being that it was a weekend and they were busy we understood having to wait, but not 2 hours. First you should know, there is no hostess. All servers take on this task which means they can’t give you an estimated time for your wait. All they have is a list on a clip board for the guests to write their name on. Since so many of the servers were handling the list, names were being crossed off and never called and they were re-writing the list over and over. Our name was crossed off twice without being called and people who arrived 30 min to an hour after us were being seated before us. We told 3 of the servers 3 different times about our situation and all said we would be seated next which never happened. They continued to seat people who arrived much later than us. If there was an option to give them a zero for this visit, I would give it to them for their truly horrible service this day. 01⁄02 If anyone plans on going to this location on a weekend, make sure you are up for a very LONG wait and possibly of your name disappearing from the list. I do hope they fix this issue sooner rather than later because I do love the food.

Of all the KBBQ places in the South Bay area, Moon BBQ is probably the best KBBQ place out there! It definitely beats Gen if you are contemplating on where to go and eat in the South Bay(and you don’t feel like driving all the way to Ktown). Gen is not that great in my opinion and save yourself a trip to Gen or Furusato for a trip to Moon instead haha :) What’s great about this particular place is their meat quality. When you take a bite of their meat, you can instantly tell that their meat quality is sooooo fresh and tastes absolutely amazing! I recalled having their spicy pork belly and it was one of my favorites on their AYCE19.99 menu! I believe prices went up since the last time I’ve been here. Thought prices went up, it’s hella worth. For me, I would rather pay more for bomb ass quality meat than pay cheap and get bad quality of meat(Ahem…Furusato). When the meat tastes good, I’m pretty satisfied haha :) customer service can be improved on and I wish they have better ventilation inside the place. You will definitely smell like BBQ meat afterwards bc it’s so smoky inside so do prepare for that(bring body mist or wear comfortable clothing). If you Unilocal check in, you get a free bottle of beer! Absolutely fantastic :) Will be back if I’m in the mood for KBBQ and don’t want to drive all the way to Ktown!

Super solid AYCEKBBQ! Warning — there is limited parking in their lot so you may need to opt for street parking nearby. Most of the tables are small and fit about 4 – 5 comfortably. You have 2 choices on the menu(the 2nd option has some of the better cuts of meat). The staff are all really helpful and regularly clean out the grill, though as with most AYCE places they tend to disappear the longer you stay so order a lot whenever they come by!

Personally I have a good experience every visit, the only con is the raising price, what used to be 17.99 is now 19.99. The last time I came several workers asked me and my friend several times if we wanted more meat, we were eating quite a lot, and they still offer so that was very nice of them. However my boyfriend experienced really bad and slow service, they gave out very bad quality, fatty meat as a way to make him and his friends leave. One waiter even told them that the table they are using was reserved and the ones reserved it will come in 10 minutes, and asked if they want to leave or switch a table. So my boyfriend said they will just switch a table, then the waiter said nvm reservation just got canceled… so clearly he was trying to make them leave. They have only ordered 4 plates of meat, it’s only so little. So I guess the service is not consistently good here.

Oh man, this might be the best Korean food I’ve ever had, and I’ve been to Korea! Two of us were visiting LA from out of town and were just looking for a place along our route. Unilocal led us here, and we sure are glad it did. We didn’t know what to expect, and were a bit surprised by the grills in every table, but were quite happy with the large selection of options on the all-you-can-eat menu. They offer two options for choices, but we found the cheaper of the two had everything on it that we wanted, so went with that. The service was incredible, and the food was really good. The army of servers were exceptionally attentive, and ensured we always had the next round coming as the previous round was nearing the end. They changed out our grill surface several times, ensuring that we didn’t end up with any overly-charred bits on our food. The meats were seasoned nicely and pretty tender. You do have to be careful to not let the meat get overcooked on the grill, but the staff even helped with that, too! The salad and other sides that came with the meal were all quite good as well. The only downside I’d say is that the portions for each type of meat are pretty big, and they only let you get two options at a time. So, we didn’t get to try as many different meats as we’d have liked to try. We still had 6 or 8 different things, so this wasn’t a huge issue, but it would have been nice to try a couple more that looked good – we were just too full for more.

I get so excited about KBBQ!!! :-D Moon BBQ is a good place to go with a small or large group. Let me tell you why. Moon is all you can eat and they have a very large variety of meats to choose from. The meat quality is always awesome. The basic menu even includes marinated short ribs and chopped steak! You can even opt for the seafood menu, but it costs a little more. The sides are actually pretty basic. You’ll have the rice and radish paper, mashed potato, kimchi, pickled radish, and cilantro. You’ll have to ask several times to get more when they are busy. One of my favorite things about Moon is that it’s a lively atmosphere. You’ll have a good dinner no matter how many people you are with. You can even squeeze a group of 22 in their back room. It was a little tight, but we had a great time! The service is a mix. There is always a couple of super friendly ladies and a couple of grumpy guys. Jenny is our favorite, she is super awesome :-D

This was a really good place to go for a snack after the free advanced screening movie nearby! For $ 19.99, the quality of meats and the variety were great! We had items such as Beef Tongue, Pork Belly, Brisket, Spicy Pork Skin, and Marinated Short Ribs. It was our first time here, so the staff were more helpful and attentive. Maybe they helped us cook because it was close to closing time and they wanted to improve our efficiency. The grill was changed often and we were asked many times if everything was okay. We did have to ask for more water and garlic. There seems to be 2 other locations that are owned by relatives, but this one is ranked #1. Parking was free and easy here. The hole in the wall type of atmosphere was comfortable and casual. It was a fun time eating and cooking together, and I would go back again!

Free beer with check in! It was kloud beer but whatever it was free. We asked for a lemon and they said they didn’t have any so they have us lemon juice. But we saw a lemon slice in the water hm. Ok great The owner kept coming by and turning down our heat. I understand if there’s no meat on the grill but why mess with it if we are in the midst of eating. We cook at our pace so don’t mess with our heat please. Other than that, the food was good, loved the egg soufflé and the salad. The beef belly and short rib were great. Can’t forget the doshirak box, damn delicious It gets stuffy in there, they need better ventilation, sit in the back of you can or by the door

I was given a recommendation to go here by a friend and I’m glad I came! The size of the restaurant is a little small but it’s PACKED! Expect a wait when you come and I wouldn’t suggest bringing a large party since the restaurant is pretty small. Tables can accommodate 4 – 5 people. The AYCE price for option A is $ 19.99 and option B is $ 25.99. We all went with option A, which offers plenty of options. My personal favorites were the fresh tenderloin(obviously tender), the chopped beef sirloin and the marinated short rib. The cuts of meat looked fresh and tasted great! Definitely had a lot of flavor was very tender. The fresh tenderloin is literally a big fat piece of meat… pretty good! The grill is a little different than some other places I’ve been to but I liked this grill style better. The fat from the meats drip down easily and the grill doesn’t get burned as fast so there are less grill changes. As far as service goes, they definitely try their best. We had to ask for rice multiple times before it came out. They are a little slow on the service but that’s understandable because they are crazy busy. The banchan was also served in very small portions. We had to ask for refills numerous times. The good news is that they had endless rice paper! I couldn’t survive without them. Some places usually«run» out which I don’t understand. If I’m in the mood for AYCEKBBQ and don’t feel like driving out to Ktown, I’d go back.

Place is good for reasonable AYCE(option a is 18.99 and option b is 25.99). I think the price is fair for the quality of the food. You can order two dishes at a time. My favorites were the marinated pork belly and sirloin. Pros: — A variety of meats and other dishes(jigae and noolung ji) –Good service and they always check up on you. Cons: –No lettuce or green onions –Small place, possibly long wait time –Small portions of banchan makes you keep asking for more This isn’t my favorite spot for KBBQ in the south bay area, but it gets the job done if you’re too lazy to go to LA.
