DONOTUSETHISNURSERY. Jesse and his son, Jesse Jr. are liars and cheats. The most dishonest landscaping company I have ever encountered. They show you photos of products and you agree to the price. When the products(mostly trees and bushes), they are not the same as the ones in the photos. They then lie to you and tell you that those weren’t the ones you agreed to and other ones will cost more. And worse, even when they do finally bring something(close enough, but still not what you requested), they are infected and they lie again that ‘just spraying them’ will take care of them. And even after weeks and weeks of spraying they are still infected and defective. They evade all attempts to have them replaced and then stop taking your phone calls. LIARS. CHEATERS. THIEVES!

I went here yesterday. I didn’t plan on buying a Mother’s Day gift since my mom died last year, but I felt as though I was being pressured by the mob to buy my Aunt a Mother’s Day gift. I know, we don’t have the mob in California, and the pressure I felt was self-inflicted. So, when my Aunt told me she didn’t need anything, that meant I better be ready to buy a spectacular gift! So, that is what brought me to Jauregui! My Aunt loves to work in her yard, and she loves flowers and plants. I know you might say well, if you go to this or that hardware store, you could get ten flowers for a dollar, etc. Well, when you’re giving a gift, GIVE A GIFT! When you are ready to buy a yard enthusiast something, head to your local enchanted forest, and meet Jesse at Jauregui! The peace and serenity you feel while driving into the nursery will help to offset the pain and agony you feel when you can’t buy everything you see. Trust me, you will want to buy everything you see! I didn’t bring enough cash and a card just won’t do. Checks are accepted, but I am dangerous with checks so, Jesse waited for me to get more cash. He loaded my car up with five beauties! He made everything fit! How, I don’t know, but he did! My Aunt was mesmerized, and I felt like the winner that I am! Just kidding! If you’ve got it, you’ve got it! What canI tell you! The only downside is you rickety wreck your car with the dirt and leaves and God knows what! So, be prepared to visit your local car wash! Other than that, everything is everything(that means beautiful)!

TIP: Read all the reviews before going– it would have been a far more productive experience for me if I had(call ahead, bring cash, barrow an open bed truck, know what you need before you get there). Went here today to buy some trees. No one was around to help. When I asked the workers for help, they said no one can help me right now. It looks like they have a huge selection of plants, and lots of inventory. I think it’s more of a true wholesaler — you’re welcome to walk around and look at the plants, but it’s not set up for browsing. I drove over to Ricardo’s plant nursery and found exactly what I needed at a very good price. Ricardo’s staff was available, friendly, and helpful.

INCREDIBLEPLACE! I just got a beautiful fruitless Olive tree here in a 24″ crate The tree is about 10′ tall with multi-branches and cost $ 150(go to their website and print out the 25% off coupon for first time customers… I did and got the tree for $ 112.50!!!). I went to Armstrong Nursery earlier in the week and theirs were in a small 15 gallon buckets, were about 5′ tall and cost $ 149.99 and they only had two to choose from. I paid $ 25 dollars for delivery and it arrived 2 hours later, just like I was promised. They would have planted it for an additional $ 40 but my gardener was already at the house. This place has SOMANY trees. He said there were over 1,000 Olive trees on their lot and there might have been. If you are looking for anything, big(40′ tall palm trees) or small go here. This is where LA County gets its plants and it is now open to the public. There is no sign for the nursery and it is hard to find someone working there. It is right on the San Gabriel river… look for the unmarked entrance on the East side of the bridge, drive in and look for someone. The guy that helped me find the tree was super nice and helpful. GREATPLACE!!! Wish I’d found this place 3 years ago when i first moved here.

A fantastic place for Plant lovers!!! Amazing prices and excellent plant selections. Healthy happy plants. Thanks Unilocal for this great place. Drove down from my home downtown and found this place quite easily. Off the 110 at Redondo Beach Blvd. and very easy to find(head East and go South on Figueroa — make a right on 157 St — go till the very end and you will see the entrance on your left). No signs on the entry, but go ahead and enter thru the dirt road. Its a drive thru kind of place. You’ll see someone eventually and they will be able to help you pick out a plant and tell you prices. I had a $ 40 budget for one bush(based on prices seen at the local nursery for similar height plants). I was pleasantly surprised to find some beautiful daisy bushes for just $ 10!!! Thanks to their great prices I was able to buy 4 plants instead of one! Also took home a great jasmine plant for just 5 bucks! You can’t beat their prices! The variety is overwhelming and the prices AMAZING! The staff was very helpful, knowledgeable and friendly. This place is worth the drive!

Oh, I’m almost afraid to let the word out on this place, since it’s an absolute gem. Good for: — Bulk(20+ plants,) relatively inexpensive plants of all kinds. Everything from rose bushes and bouganvellia to lavender and Mexican sage. They have palms too. — The independent type who knows exactly what they want(or a really good idea, and can pick alternates easily if they don’t have a particular variety.) Not good for: — Someone without a plan of what they need. The place isn’t «merchandised» as it would be in a major commercial nursery, and while the guy can tell you if it’s good for sun or shade, drought resistant, etc., it’s not the kind of place where you go with absolutely no idea of what kinds of plants or ground you want to cover. They have no landscape architects there, and no consultants. You’re pretty much on your own. — We re-landscaped our backyard a couple years back and got all of our plants here all in 5 gallon pots for less than $ 10/each. It had a lot to do with the quantity we bought, since this isn’t the place to go for a one-off. You go here for bulk. The Game Plan: — The main entrance is located just east of Studebaker on Wardlow, before you reach the bridge over the river. It’s easy to miss if you’re not looking for it – it’s a quick left turn into the gated lot. The property pretty much runs the length of the river for what has to be miles and miles.
— Since they normally cater to commercial landscapers, I recommend driving up, hopping out and enlisting the help of one of the many employees on what to do next. Typically there is one guy with whom you can speak, drive around(there’s no walking here; prepare to drive to pick out your own plants and load them into your truck) and then pay. — I took my CR-V, and ended up following my contact in his truck around the one-way road through the nursery while I called out certain kinds of plants I was interested in. — Bring cash, and and open-bed truck. Much of the stuff I bought I had to go back for with a friend’s pick-up. Way too big for the CR-V.
