Normally I will not patronize an establishment that serves food with a «B» rating from the health department. For reasons I really can’t justify, I continued to frequent this donut shop. I guess because it is so close to my daughter’s school, my wife and I found it convenient to get a coffee and a crumb cake from time to time. This morning we decided to do the same after dropping off our daughter and before going to the park to walk. As usual, I asked the young woman at the window for a decaf for my wife and a crumb cake for me. I handed her a $ 10 and waited for the changes. There were a number of cars behind me so I pulled in front of the store and looked at my change. To my surprised, I had only $ 2.95. I got out of the car and went to the window and told the young lady that I gave her a $ 10 but she only gave me less than $ 3 back. She right off the bat became defensive and insisted that she was not trying to cheat me. The older woman insisted also that I only gave them $ 5. I told them a number of times that I had only a $ 10 in my wallet and gave that to her for the coffee and donut. None of my assurance matter to either of them and I had to drop it and left quite frustrated. $ 7.05 for a weak coffee and stale donut. Yes, the donut was stale(that early in the morning). It is not good business to deal with return customers in that way. I was already wondering why I would stop now and then at a donut shop with a «B» rating. Now, I have no intention of ever returning because it was more important for them to not error on the side of the customer for $ 5. For those of you that are not aware. A «B» rating from the health department is not just one point less than best. A B C, ratings are like earth quakes. Each letter makes a big difference. A B rating can be anything from a dirty mop of roaches, rats, hair and other bugs in food to who knows. If you see a C rating, be scared and keep going! In a way, I am glad this happened. I have never entered an establishment with a «B» rating and shouldn’t have ever bought anything from this Kings 2 Donut. Now, I never will again for sure. $ 7 didn’t break the bank but I don’t know any wise person not mind being ripped off for any amount of money.

I go here often because it’s on the way to work and it’s down the street from my barber shop. This is the first time I’m Unilocaling this place and I must say it’s really good. I’ve never had to wait long in line and all there food has been fresh. I usually get the ham or turkey and cheese croissant which is my favorite.

Best drive through donuts around plus they have the sandwich soda and small bag of chips for $ 5. Fast service and efficient staff. Recently they were closed due to an accident but now they are open again!

They’ve been closed ever since the accident earlier this month. I miss their Ham & Cheese croissants. I hope they choose to reopen in the near future.

This little drive thru stand is pretty good. I came here to try the ham & cheese croissant sandwich and it was good not only yummy but cheap under 3 bucks to satisfy my hunger. Will be back to try more. Getting in and out could be tricky with the traffic on Western.

I started coming here about two months ago on the regular and every time I come Im always greeted with a smile and a friendly attitude. Up until recently, though, one of the employees was handling both drive thru and walk up orders at the same time and got pretty overwhelmed. As I was ordering with her I felt rushed and she was talking so fast I couldn’t understand her… I asked her kindly if she could repeat herself and she yelled her response back. Bad day, I guess. Anyway, I love coming here and I’m not going to let that one not so decent donut run steer me away from this place.

They have the best buttermilk bars but the dumbest set up where walk up customers have to play chicken with the drive thru asses just to see the donut selection.

The employees here are very rude, I wouldn’t suggest coming here. I ordered something simple — two donuts and a water and the man helping me couldn’t even manage to be cordial. He gave me a burned red velvet donut with no frosting. He hand picked it, so I know it was no accident. Do better, Donut King.

This place has been there quite a long time. The bear claw is average size with 5 fingers. Many places have slightly bigger fingers and some places only have 3 or 4. Slight crunch when you bite into it. The filling is cinnamony to the taste and more paste filling than apple chunks. They have a variety of donuts, drinks, sandwiches and ice cream.

I got a scoop of chocolate on a cone and 2 donuts for $ 2.90. Not bad at all. The ice cream was good but the standout was the chocolate bar… Man that was a good chocolate bar! The buttermilk glazed was good too. I will be back sooner than I should lol

Gardena icon! While not as famous as the gigantor Randy’s Donuts monster-donut-on-the-roof on Manchester by LAX, this monster-donut-on-the-roof location is surely one of the most famous local landmarks in the Gardena/Torrance/South Bay area. While it borders on some pretty sketch neighborhoods, it’s generally not too bad even later in the evening(i.e. after a socialization and beverage«session» at Donna’s across the street lol!) Definitely 24 hour convenient! Also very cool since it has drive up windows, and there’s rarely a line of any significance. The workers are usually in a decent mood, and love to see their regulars. Not much else in the adjacent area though, so this is normally a stop for donuts and hit the road type of spot. Good croissants and sandwiches as well, so don’t think this is some kind of one trick pony donut stand! Just south of here is where the interesting Gardena and Torrance food joints start. Don’t go too much further north on Western though! Just some friendly advice to keep you safe ;)

This place has been here for as long as I can remember! Definitely one of the best donut shops in Gardena. My favorites: ICEDCOFFEE. If you don’t like sweet coffee, this is not for you. Ham & cheese croissant sandwich Buttermilk donut, Donut holes, root beer float, iced green tea, icecream(too many flavors to name) their scoops are very generous and very cheap! Cash only! They do have an ATM but I’d rather carry cash with me. Sometimes the employees can be rude or don’t understand what you’re saying which sucks. I deal with it though because I love this place :)

I’m an apple fritter girl and their fritter is not as delish as Randy’s. However, their croissants are delish and their prices are very reasonable as well. So we will return. Just not for apple fritters. :) The morning crew is friendly and efficient. The line moves quick and that’s a plus. Cash Only.

Yum yum! The only issue I had was the wait! It’s a drive through so I expected it to be a little quicker but the food, coffee, and doughnut were amazing! Also ordered a water and got a huge bottle! The girl at the window was super sweet as well:) Definitely going back!

A lot of people think that Randy’s is the only big donut in the sky left in L.A. Nope… There is Donut King 2 and, in fact, a couple of others. Whereas Randy’s is right off of the 405 and featured in tons of photographs and music videos, Donut King 2 is a bit more obscure — hidden in Gardena. The main thing about Donut King 2, compared to Randy’s, is that they have a much bigger variety of food. Sure, they have donuts, but they also have sandwiches — which are actually surprisingly good. Like most donut shops, you don’t want to go here if you are a health food addict. But, if you want a pretty good donut or a sandwich, check this place out. It is a fun hidden and forgotten donut shop that still has a big donut halo in the sky.

Their sandwiches are DELISH ! Better than Subway :) it’s only $ 4.50(no tax) for a sandwich, soda, and chips! They have pastrami, tuna, roast beef, vegetarian, and a couple more. I regret not buying their sandwiches sooner ! They only take cash but they recently got an ATM machine right outside their main window :)
