Turned up tonight at 9pm on a Saturday night with a group of 11 friends only to find all their lights off and locked up with no signs to explain why. Will not he returning to this place again. Luckily we could go to Lollicup/85 degrees close by.

We went there on a sunday at 3:30pm during the hours it stated it was open on Unilocal.Place was dark and the doors locked with no signs of information as to why. Won’t be back since there’s no point in driving if they’re not even open during posted business hours. On a brighter note, we did see a baby being rescued by firefighters from a locked car so that was a happy note.

Just getting around to reviewing snowflake, been coming here for awhile, it WAS very good, last couple of time in there is a bunch of extremely LOUD young adults, there was this one guy when he laughed it just went through you and annoyed us to no end. We couldn’t finish out snow fast enough. This happened twice so we stopped going in. We notice they had remodel the place so we decided to give it another try The group of loud people, not there We orderedsat down looked at the receipt and they over charged us 50 cents for each order, went back up and showed her and she said, oh that is the new pricing. Didn’t bother to change it on the menu board. Starting eating our snowflake and it tasted like cloths smell that are in a dirty Clothes hamper. Getting kinda pricy for shaved ice

Get the mango or green tea snow(seriously get the mango)! The ambiance is very mellow, music is good. The ladies behind the counter were nice and I thought were pretty helpful.

Was expecting this place to be a little crowded but then again I came here in the middle of the day. Not complaining though! The interior of this place is super hip and cute, apparently they just redesigned it to keep up with the trend. Drinks here are pretty inexpensive. Would love to come back when I am around the area to try Thai tea and Matcha tea mixed together!

Not sure if this place changed ownership or innovated it but I came back for the third time, the place looked completely differently. I was extremely upset and disappointed at the service. It was from a 4 star that I originally gave to 0 star as of July 31st2015. I ordered green tea shaved ice and that’s what I always get, this time, not only did it look terrible but it tasted artificial and nothing like green tea shaved ice. I had a small spoon and couldn’t take it anymore so I asked for an exchange. The girl that works there said she couldn’t do it. She said that’s the way their green tea is and she can’t exchange or refund. If she’s the owner then that’s bad business, but if she’s a worker then she’s not doing her job to keep the customer happy. I returned full plate that is barely touched… walking out felt like we got robbed. I rather give that money to the homeless than being robbed for something I didn’t get. That plate of shaved ice would have cost them pennies but they just lost return customers and potentially new ones. I understand that the quality went downhill but if you offer good service, people will be more understandable and will come back for a second chance. But if you don’t have one or the other then that’s very sad. Luckily we only ordered 1 plate that cost us $ 5.95. But the fact that they have bad green tea and won’t let customer exchange then I don’t how they can sustain in this business. Still really mad that I got robbed

I tried vanilla and immediately fell in love with it. Love their mochi, very chewy and soft, not as hard and dry like some other places. However, I don’t like their honey boba because it is NOTSWEET at all, they didn’t put honey on and not very chewy, just like you put in the fridge for too long(boba supposed to be kept warm until it is served)

Ordering wasnt too bad, except for the fact that their system was down so we had to pay with cash which was a bit inconvenient. Also, I asked the girl working what she recommended and she was not helpful at all. We ordered a shave snow and the wait to get it took FOREVER. It wasn’t that crowded either so I don’t understand why it took so long to shave a block of frozen flavored water. After over 30 minutes of waiting, we finally got our shaved snow. Portions here are veryyyy small. We ordered a large but the size looked like it would’ve been a medium. Medium is $ 5.50 and large is $ 7.75 I think? Somewhere around there. I would suggest going elsewhere for there’s a lot of places around the area with better and bigger shaved snow that doesn’t take a ten years to come out. I am giving it +1 star though because I came after seeing that they had Thai tea shaved snow while other places didn’t. It was good but nothing special. Also got their green tea shaved snow which did not taste like green tea/matcha. I would not come back.

Update: Be aware. They have only 2 sizes. Regular = 12 oz. cup and Large = 16 oz. cup. It’s actually only 8 oz. and 10 oz. !!! Don’t bother asking for less/no ice. They will only fill it up 2⁄3 of the way! What the hell is that. I think that’s so ridiculous. Yeah, I’ll still come back time to time, but this business has lost stars in my book, especially when nothing was said when i asked for less ice at the register. Later when the drinks were being made, I saw an elder man in the back who I’m presuming is the owner and I’m sure he was not okay with it and the young girl working at the front had to come out and show me how much I would be getting in my cup. I will not be raving about this place to my friends nor will I be trying all their flavors as me and the bf thought we would be. No wonder their drinks are so cheap! –2 stars. Remodeled. Love the clean, cozy look. Decided on the peachy lychee tea, peachy minty(both large), and the regular green tea with strawberry and mango fruit toppings. The total came out to $ 13. I’m so surprised at what this place has to offer. Everything from service, selections, and atmosphere is high quality. The best part is that it is one of the few places, if not only that has kept simple, but genuine artisan teas at a low and affordable price! I’ve found my new spot and so happy about it! yay!

there are so much items to choose from. They didn’t have the macaron ice cream sandwiches when we visited, I’m assuming they sold out earlier in the day(we arrived there around 10 at night). I ordered the large honeydew melon and watermelon shaved snow and I got two free toppings with it(the regular size has a 1 flavor limit with two free toppings). I recommend getting these two flavors with the fruity pebbles and lychee jelly toppings. I hope you all enjoy this place as much as my family and I did!

It’s… Ok. I came here years ago and it was eh. This place gets the stars because the girl taking my order was poorly trained. They have a selection of tacos, baos, fries, and balls. I inquired about a Bolsa Taco, as I’ve never seen that before and wanted to know what the heck I’m eating. The chick told me she was not sure what is in it, that she’s never seen it. Wtf… how do you not know? The name is so ambiguous for a taco. Bolsa is so vague that there could be fish sauce, coconut. I’m not allergic to anything as far as I know so I decided to get that. It turns out, it’s a bbq pork belly Taco with a tangy sauce, some pickled vegetables and fried pork skin but the latter part doesn’t come crispy. I thought it was aite, just the service annoyed me. I also asked about the baos, and when I think of baos, I think of the steamed white fluffy buns that have pork mixture and Chinese sausage. She informed me that they’re dumplings. Ok.o.o Management needs to help their employees. And also get ac Cuz that place is hot as balls

Stopped here after attending a festival for some post-snack recharge. My friends and I came here for a nice and fluffy dessert that satisfies the sweet tooth. We ordered shaved snow with green tea and lychee, with orange popping boba on the side. We also ordered a side of garlic fries as well. Man! Does that hit the spot. It’s definitely delicious! I can’t say it is the best shaved ice I have tasted, since I have tasted better, but their quality is comparable to other places. I’d highly recommend this places and give it a try. For some, it may be a thumbs up. Others may think otherwise. However, I think people can agree that the shaved snow is pretty good quality and not as expensive as other places.

I stopped by here for dessert after having dinner at Brodards. If you guys have been the Salju in the San Gabriel Valley, this is a very similar concept if not exact. There are 3 sizes you can order in which all contain 2 flavors and toppings. I ordered the largest size with flavors honeydew and green tea. Topping it off with strawberries and red bean. What’s great about snow is that it is extremely soft and it melts in your mouth. Price: $ Very inexpensive and great for sharing Venue: You can probably come here with a group of 8– 20 and it would be okay. Fairly large and very welcoming Customer Service: Very helpful staff!

The first thing that caught my eye: this place is open late!(and also the fact that they have shaved snow!) The concept of shaved snow is amazing. I like it because it’s light and you can add toppings to your heart’s content. Shaved snow here is not as great as Class 302, which holds a dear spot in my heart. But they definitely have more options in terms of flavors, toppings, and sizes. I would say the quality of the snow is comparable to Snow Station. A small size here is just under $ 3 and you get 1 snow flavor, 1 topping, and 1 free syrup. A medium gets you up to 2 flavors, 2 toppings, and 1 syrup, and so forth. Additional toppings are 50 cents. They have plenty of choices and plenty of really good combinations. Serving sizes are pretty big. I got my favorite lychee snow flavor, which was delicious and refreshing. I have to dock a star because they ran out of almond toppings! That was the one topping I wanted. In addition to shaved snow, they have MACARONICECREAMSANDWICHES. I did not expect to see this because I came solely for the shaved snow. But I got one anyway because it was only $ 4!(The ones at Boiling Point are tiny and at $ 5). They have lots of macaron and ice cream flavors — you can mix and match. I got pistachio macaron and matcha ice cream. The macaron was so good. I would come back for more! Did I mention the large size of this cookie? It’s definitely more worth it than the ones at Boiling Point. They also have drinks here, which I did not notice until I saw another customer order some. They make your basic milk and flavored teas. The Snowflake Factory is a 3-in-1 stop! On your carb day, stop by here instead of 85 Degrees next door, hehe.

Cute store in the Mall of Fortune. Couldn’t resist but to try it after dinner at Brodard since I’ve had it bookmarked for a while. Had a medium-sized Jasmine milk tea snow with mango and rainbow mochi for about $ 5. It was good but not as good as other ones I’ve had. You can really taste the tea flavor. However, the mango pieces were too ripe and the mochi to small to feel their chewiness. Good if you’re in the area.

Thanks to Groupon I finally got to try this place. In the same plaza as the 85 Bakery and 99 Cent Store. Parking isn’t too bad since the plaza is pretty big itself. The place is kind of small and tables are sticky, but the snow makes up for it in my opinion. What I’ve tried: Small Passion Fruit Shaved Snow w/Rainbow Mochi($ 3): small is enough for 2 people in my opinion and comes with 1 free topping. Snow was nice and fluffy and it has a hint of passion fruit, but I wish it had a stronger taste. The rainbow mochi that was given to us each had different flavors! I thought it was just the coloring, but we had coconut, strawberry, and mango flavored mochi. Regular Strawberry Shaved Snow w/Mochi & Strawberry($ 5): enough for 2 hungry people or maybe even three people! Comes with 2 free toppings, but they kind of skimped on them. You could taste the strawberry flavor of the snow though. Large Vietnamese Coffee($ 3): BF said it wasn’t that good and didn’t have a strong coffee taste. Regular Matcha Milk Tea($ 2.75): I like matcha, but yet not green tea… so this drink was definitely to my liking. Regular Passion Fruit Lemonade($ 2.75): avoid… can’t taste the passion fruit and couldn’t even tell that it was lemonade… Mango Peach Tryst($ 3): pretty good drink. Mango and peach slush and supposed to be topped off with mango bits, but they were no where to be found! Service: The first time we used the Groupon, the worker let us get anything on the menu. The second time the same worker was there, but the lady behind her said we could only use it on the snow but would let it slide this time… so I guess it all just depends! The worker was super friendly though, but the older lady wasn’t…snow doesn’t take long to come out, but the drinks take awhile.

My experiences with shaved snow(or snow ice) developed at a great institution in Las Vegas that happens to be called Snowflake Shavery. Those guys use completely natural flavors in their ice. More importantly, they cut their ice in fairly lengthy(yet still thin) pieces that clump up to form a wonderful, fluffy, and substantial texture. It gives back a little if you spoon or bite into it. My concept of shaved snow was reinforced by a sampling of Fluff Ice’s offerings at a food truck festival in Las Vegas. Even working off a truck, they gave me a product with a very similar texture, and maybe even more pronounced flavor(not surprising since I had a Thai tea flavor). I feel like I’m almost describing a quality of good al dente noodles. Not that shaved snow should be chewy, but it should have a bite to it. What I experienced at The Snowflake Factory last night was very disappointing in texture. They seem to shave their ice in such a way that, while it may resemble actual snow more, it ends up with the same mouth feel as a sorbet or frozen yogurt. It did not feel substantial at all and melted away too quickly. Flavor-wise, I couldn’t find the truly authentic mango flavor that I was looking for, and the taro was… reasonable, I guess. The other thing is that the colors scream artificial. I understand adding some food coloring at times to help people understand what they’re eating, but I’m not sure what to make of eating things that are almost neon-colored. I applaud them for the huge selection of toppings, and I did enjoy my passion fruit popping boba and condensed milk that both were seemingly slathered over my shaved snow, but I’m not sure that I’ll come back for a sweet fix. As shown by Unilocal and by the packed 11pm crowd, these guys definitely are a hit. Just not with me.

OMG, this is my new favorite snow cream place! I pretty much love them all, but here the selection is HUGE! I went with passionfruit instead of my regular mango and I loved it. Similar, not quiet as sweet, light and fluffy, no bloat or guilt, I love it! The small size for $ 2.95 is not only the cheapest I’ve had anywhere, but also the largest portion, served on a nice plate, enough to share, but I didn’t. One free topping as well as one sauce included in the price, I went with condensed milk(the best part of snow IMO) as well as green apple boba, god they were good. Very tempted to get green apple snow and passionfruit boba next time. Service was super nice, they have a great assortment of shakes, smoothies, teas and other drinks as well. Cute store, love the décor, very clean, plenty of parking out front, I’ll be back!

I loved it for my first real shaved ice cream experience! Huge portions! We got a small and it was enough for the two of us — but I would be able to finish a small on my own! It was so GOOD! The mango was delicious especially with the condensed milk drizzled on top and the lychee poppers. Service was great and they were patient while I figured out what the heck I wanted! Great little shop with modern and comfy seating(booths and chairs). Nice and clean looking furniture — with some great tunes bumping! Almost started dancing… haha! Loved the Vietnamese Coffee too! Had to grab a to-go for my drive back.

This place sells a piece of a cloud from heaven. For a really low price($ 3), you can get this fluffy, melt-in-your-mouth, flavored frozen treat. It’s not froyo and it’s not shaved ice. It’s like flavored shaved ice with the smoothness of froyo. It is not dense at all. There is a huge selection of toppings and lots of fresh fruit, like longan, jackfruit, mango, and the boring old strawberry. They have a good number of flavors of snow, like lychee, boring vanilla, passionfruit. I tried passionfruit and lychee. Both these flavors were bold without being too sweet. I definitely recommend this place for a refresher on a hot day or night.
