Décor gets a 5 star, service is 4.5, food is only 3.5 stars — overall I give it a 3.75 stars and round it up based in really fantastic service. I would definitely come back again simply because overall I liked the place… I’ve had, better but on a super rediculous busy night elsewhere this place was cozy and the side dishes were excellent. This place felt like ancient Korea with authentic styled wood floor, walls. The Korean shaved ice desert at the end was a nice suprise that no other Korean All u can eat doesn’t offer!

The sets are actually very good considering their price. It is an all you can eat restaurant so with just one price, you get all of the kbbq you’ll need. The meat quality isn’t bad, but isnt super fancy exquisite quality. I don’t mind because it IS all you can eat. In the set, you can choose shaved ice. I do NOT recommend it. It has fruits but only small, stingy amounts of plum and watermelon which I thought was a weird combo for toppings. And there is so little syrup, I couldn’t even tell what flavor it was. The service was okay. They did not let us take our leftovers home in a box. We had already paid the check and were just about to leave but they still refused to give us a box. Maybe it’s because it’s an all you can eat place? The table next to us(a Korean group) were able to get a box though. So I’m not sure if they are favoring Korean people or our server just didn’t like us.

I’ve been going to The Pine for a while to get Korean barbecue but finally am reviewing it after my most recent experience. This place recently changed ownership since it used to owned by an older Korean lady. The prices also went up as well($ 15.99 for AYCE to $ 17.99– for their Combo B). Which seems sort of fair since Cham Sut Gol and Star BBQ which are also in the area are around the same price range. I believe they raised their prices and some items in the menu due to the new ownership. I stopped going to this place for a while since they changed so much on the menu and the prices. However, I recently decided to give this place a chance again and went here for dinner with my boyfriend. Service was pretty decent, food was good, and their side dishes are okay. We usually get their Combo B option for AYCEKBBQ, which includes the most basic meats(brisket, spicy pork, spicy squid, chicken, etc.), a choice of different soups(rice, tofu, steamed egg, etc.), and comes with shaved ice at the end for dessert. Not a bad deal for $ 17.99, and our bill ended up being around $ 45 with tip. I sort of miss how this place was before. It usually is pretty empty and I miss their old menu & prices. However, I still will come back again for KBBQ since the boyfriend likes going here and it’s sort of nearby my house.

This location has been around for ages but recently changed ownership and I was pleasantly surprised with the food taste and service. The staple menu items are Korean bbq, all you can eat, and Korean soft tofu. The portions are relatively modest and prices were average to other Korean restaurants. If you are looking for more of the home-cooked feel, I would recommend this place. I’m not gonna go out of my way to eat here but would definitely stop by again when in the area.

I’ve been to a few Korean BBQ places and this place does justice. I know Cham Sut Gol is a place EVERYONE goes to but this is just as good. It’s not crowded so it’s a good thing. At $ 23 a person, that is pretty reasonable. We ordered all the different types of meats we could and they were all pretty well marinated. Service was excellent as they kept changing out our grill which was awesome! We ordered some egg soufflé which tasted awesome! Get that if you can! At the very end, they give you shaved ice! Tasted good but wish they use real fresh fruits instead of canned fruits. That’s the only downside to it but it is still tasty! CONDENSEDMILK! :)

The worst Korean food I’ve ever had. We only went here because kaju was so packed and I wanted so badly to like it. We ordered the seafood tofu soup and it came out super watery and bland. The Kalbi was all fat and had barely any meat. For socal Korean food standard, I’d say this one is pretty low. The only reason why this place got two stars was for the service. The guy who worked the tables was also the cashier and the cook.

when we went there and asked for a shik-hae(korean sweet rice juice), the empolyee asked her coworker whether they had LEFTOVER! Super shocked! how could they do that in front of customers? leftover and we asked for the manager and they said the manager was not there. TERRIBLE customer service. never coming back.

Solid KBBQ joint. Very friendly staff – it’s just a shame they aren’t more attentive. To be specific: — Grills weren’t switched out in a timely manner. Had to ask every single time — Rice paper/radish paper was only refilled upon request — Servers only swing by the table once every 15 – 20 minutes. No intermittent check-ins Everything was clean, courteous, and high quality. Unfortunately, the visits were just too few and far between to give 4 or 5 stars.

We have this thing where, if we like a restaurant, we’ll go like every day until we get sick of it. So, now you know where you can find us if we’re «missing.» Ambiance: cozy, all traditional Korean wood theme, simple. Tables accommodate large parties, some booths available. Service: Owner has been there every time we go — he’s SO friendly. The servers have ALL played and acknowledged my baby and tried to make her feel welcome too — she even got her own cute little plate. Food: OHEMGEE. They offer egg soufflé as part of their every day Pan Chan. And a cold butternut squash porridge. They have the most delish spicy salad dressing I’ve tried to date, and today when I asked what the yummy creamy sesame dressing on the broccoli was, the owner went out of his way to call his wife and ask her what was in it… which made me happy to know EVERYTHING is made from scratch! Great selection of BBQ items and traditional Korean dishes including cold noodles, soon-tofu, pancake, and grilled fish. So far we’ve been three times and all three have been consistently delicious. Pricing is pretty comparable to other places, but they offer more variety of panchan which I appreciate. There’s tons of free parking and lunch is served till 3! Also, they have a changing table in the restroom(and all the moms said — amen!)

I’ve been to a few Korean BBQs and wanted to try another one and was suggested this one by a friend. The price point for all you can eat at $ 23 is reasonable I believe. The quality of meats was good and condiments and side dishes came upon requested however one of the waiters was not so friendly which made it uneasy to order. The plate that you cook on is curved which makes it a bit difficult to cook on. We had to ask for our plate to be changed rather than them changing it or noticing and this was not a busy night. Overall, I still had a good time with my friends.

For AYCEKBBQ, our last experience was pretty bad. We got seated pretty quickly on a Saturday afternoon, since there were only 2 or 3 other parties in the restaurant. So we weren’t sure why it took forever for someone to attend to us. Other than the inattentive slow service to get food, refills, and the check, the grill was something that I didn’t really like. Its flat and square shape made all the grease collect and almost soaked our meats. My roommate and I came here to get a break from Go Goo Ryeo across the street. But after this experience, Pine is definitely not on our list for AYCEKBBQ.

It was my first time being here at The Pine overall it was really good! The place is really vintage and has a korean feel to it. I got the AYCE deal and it was incredible, this place is so underrated but so good! My favorite cut to get is the marinated rib eye ! So yummy all the side dishes are good too. My only problem is that the tongs are awfully hard to use and the grill burns too fast! The service was great the ahjumma who talks to us was so nice and we got to learn korean! As for the complementary shaved ice, it’s okay. All you can taste is ice with canned fruits(I would DEFINATELY recommend asking for more condensed milk) but overall, Saranghae The Pine!

The Pine is located right across the street from an H mart, along with a bunch of other Korean places like Paris Baguette and Boba Café. The selection here is pretty good, and for $ 20, this comprises of many different choices of meats and only a couple of choices of seafood. Over all the selection was pretty good and satisfied my wants except that they didn’t have small intestine on the menu only Large intestine(I’ve only recently taken a liking towards intestine). The restaurant itself isn’t anything to awe at, but outside, there is a lot of parking available, and that’s just nice to have anywhere you go! The meats weren’t of the greatest quality, but most of the beef and pork my party tried that were marinated, ended up being very good. I especially enjoyed the thinly sliced spicy pork marinated dish. I hadn’t mentioned this earlier, but the restaurant as a desert gives you shaved Ice with assorted canned fruits. Needless to say, just don’t order this, yes it’s free but it tasted horrible, a waste of valuable dessert space in your stomach. Otherwise, I’d recommend this AYCE restaurant to anyone looking for a good KBBQ with out much of a wait!

4 stars for food, –1 star for slow service. I think the food is pretty good but the service is pretty slow. We came on a Monday night and it wasn’t even that busy. I can’t imagine how it’d be on a Friday night. Don’t get me wrong, the servers are very polite, but it takes forever to get stuff like refilling meats, changing the grill, and getting new sides. I’m hoping the slow service was an isolated incident. Otherwise this place would’ve been 4 stars. There are 2AYCE options. Option A, for $ 19.99, gives you everything on the menu. Option B, for $ 16.99, gives you less stuff. We opted for option A and the meat was pretty good. PROS: –No wait times. Inside is spacious and nice. –Meats are pretty good. Some of them are seasoned too sweet, but they are still solid. I actually like the meat here more than Cham Sut Gol down the street. –They provide FREE shaved ice at the end of your meal(it tastes average tho. I feel like the fruits might be frozen) –They have AYCE, or a la cart options. Lots of options to choose from if you are not in an AYCE mood. CONS: –Slow service TIPS: –Located across the street from H-Mart

It changed from the Lighthouse. The Pine is a meat place. Unfortunately, I did not come for the meat. The food was pretty good, it’s just quite limited. Parking is quite easy and there’s plenty of seating. There was a party going on while we were there so I guess it’s a large group friendly place. I wasn’t a fan of the bibimbap here. I did enjoy the noodle dishes though. But, come here solely for the meat. Nothing else to really recommend.

They got rid of their three dinner options. So now it’s narrowed down to two choices. Everything is still really good I really enjoy the intestines and their sirloin is on point. Their choice A is $ 19.99 so it’s a good deal with the options you have. If you’re looking for a place that’s not often crowded, COMEHERE. BEWARE what time you go because you can get really bad/SLOW service. So I advise you to be smart! Their dessert is really good. They have a shaved ice with condensed milk and various fruits. It’s really nice and light to top off your meal. :)

This review is only for their lunch menu, not their AYCE. I’ve been going here for a quick work lunch on-off for about 2 years now, mainly for the price, the food portions, the quick service. Their lunch selection is not the large(see photo of menu) and I’ve tried pretty much everything on it. I stick with the bibimbap on most days, and you get white rice and soup, plus the little appetizers. Makes for a filling lunch. Service is polite, though they forget to refill your water once in a while. The place is also quiet at lunch time, and you don’t have to worry about smelling too smoky when you get back to work.

I had a TERRIBLE experience here. 9 of my friends and I from church decided to come here to eat and also discuss an upcoming event. 8 of us were starving and craving korean barbeque but one of our group members already had eaten so she decided to pass on eating but wanted to stay so that we could plan our event and the«manager» had the audacity to say that she had to pay full price simply because she was there. All my friends and I were ready to eat like cows and drink and easily spend over $ 25 a person yet they wanted to charge a person who didn’t want to eat? When I tried to be reasonable to the manager and also the other waiter to explain our situation, they simply said«That’s how it is. Its like that at all other restaurants.» WHATTHEHELL… First of all, NO, its not like that at all other restaurants. Most restaurants actually APPRECIATE their customers and have a certain level of flexibility and are more than willing to have someone sit in. For example: Cham Sut Gol is very lenient in this department. After talking to the«manager» and the other waiter, they had explained that other customers prior to us had said they wouldn’t eat but had snuck food off someone’s plate. Fair enough. Its unfortunate they put all customers on the same level, thinking that they are all dishonest. What a horrendous policy. They think that they’ll lose more money by letting people who don’t want to eat stay and hang out with their friends for the fear of them sneaking food. Ridiculous! One dishonest customer is just that. Don’t group everyone together as if they’re all the same. You turned 9 potential great and loyal returning customers into 9 angry and irate Unilocalers.
