Being Peruvian myself, I’m astonished at the quality of the food and service here. I definitely recommend this place to anyone looking to taste the culture and hospitality. It’s small place is small, but full of personality and the food is bursting with flavor!! Theta so much more than food, including a small Peruvian goods store containing things you can’t find easily in the states. I’ll definitely be coming back soon!!!

What I ordered togo: Empanadas(1 spinach, 1 chicken, 1 beef) stuffed to the brim with delicious filling! I’ve had plenty of empanadas in the past before and I’d have to say this place tops it! They were all yum and done right! Spinach is my all time fav! My only regret was forgetting to ask to try their green and spicy red dipping sauces :-( Salami and cheese sandwich which also came with chimichurri :-) this sandwich was very simple yet very delicious! Everything came together well! I washed everything down with guarana soda, my first time having this stuff and it was quite tasty! The food is fantastic here and the staff are very friendly! Will definitely be coming back, but next time I’m going to try the ceviche and blood sausage and maybe throw in a dessert too! :-P

Found this place on Unilocal, all the great reviews led me to want to try it out. Turned out that my BF passes this place on his way to work everyday. Had my birthday dinner here, and the waiter was kind enough to put out a «happy birthday» banner on the shelf unit behind our table. He also put a tiny candle on the flan I ordered for dessert. The food is awesome!!! It’s been a while since I had a good ceviche peruano. Will definitely come back!!! Food can always be great, but it’s the service that gives it it’s true flavor. Thank you again for everything!!!

Awesome service. Large portions, my favorite was their sweet bread, sausages, and potato salad side dish. Will come back to try other dishes.

This is a hidden gem! Unfortunately, we have lived in Garden Grove for over 6 years and it wasn’t until now that we discovered Regina’s! Usually we would drive all the way to Cerritos to get our Peruvian fix, but that will be no more! Thanks to Unilocal,we found this delicious and quaint family restaurant. We called ahead to make sure it wasn’t busy and when we arrived they were expecting us with warm inviting smiles. The waiting staff was extremely friendly and made sure that we were very well taken care of at all times. We even stayed after our meal just to chat with some of the restaurant folks and walked out with a delicious bottle of wine that has become my favorite after my complimentary tasting. Now let’s talk about the food: They bring you a bread basket with Chimichurri, a Spicy Pink Sauce and a Mild Green Sauce. Uhm, is there a word that can describe all of it better than DELICIOUS?! Then, they brought us a perfectly baked Empanada de Carne. It was so tasty that I regret not ordering some to go for breakfast the next day. My husband ordered the Milanesa(Beef) Napolitana. He thought it was extremely tasty and even made sure to tell me how much better it tasted than our spot in Cerritos. This dish had melted cheese and ham on top of the Milanesa which was heavenly for him, as well as some crispy golden fries on the side. My meal was the Tallarin Verde with Milanesa(Chicken) and a fried egg. This Milanesa was soft, crispy and fried to perfection. The best part? It DIDNOT taste as though it sat in oil like other places. The pasta with the pesto sauce that came with it was light to taste, but I rather enjoyed that because I could amp it up to my liking with the sauces. Who doesn’t like going to restaurants where the food is delicious, the atmosphere is peaceful and the staff treats you like a valued customer? If you like feeling important and like you matter, and are foodies like we are, then Regina’s is a MUST! You will not regret it. To the Regina’s owners and staff, THANKYOU for making a casual Sunday dinner a memorable one for my husband and I! We will see you VERY soon.

First time ordering & probably my last. First its too expensive second the portions are not what i expected;7pcs of 1″ cubes of chicken for $ 3 for a $ 10 pasta that looked like it should’ve been $ 7 or maybe even $ 8& to top it off my chicken was undercooked it was hard nit dry but hard Idk i was dissapointed $ 27 was alot for 2 meals. Not including tax and the tip for the driver. I get its a small business but try work with better prices

From the outside, you may think you’re at a convenience store. From the inside, you realize this is probably one of the hidden gems in Garden Grove. Super attendant staff, wide variety of food options — Do you want Italian or Peruvian or Argentinian? Cuz you can have them all! We had a large group here for a birthday celebration and they had the whole place decked out(we took up more than half the seating) with helium balloons and Birthday Banners! So awesome! So unexpected. It’s great to be in a place where they actually acknowledge a day of celebration rather than give you an eye roll… Our group ordered about 10 different appetizers — I loved the albondigas(meatballs) and the spinach empanadas. Everything came out as it was finished — we surmised that the host/waiter was also the sole cook, making it truly a one man show! Impressive. The bistek and shrimp kabobs looked really delicious. Our Long Island boys enjoyed their Italian dishes too! Two thumbs up for this random place with super tasty, authentic food.

We visited on the suggestion of a friend. So I was really hyped up to go because his recommendation was very encouraging. I tried the blood sausage because a lot of people raved about it on Unilocal.Besides I’ve never had it before. I’m saying it’s not for everyone. And it wasn’t for me… the contents of the sausage was a creamy wet goo of a very strange consistency. It didn’t sit well with me after 2 small bites. The steak was great. Big serving of meat, fries. And plantain. Don’t get discouraged because I started with the blood sausage. I’m just saying it wasn’t for me… The place is clean and homey. Very unpretentious. Service was good. I’ll be back but probably not for a long time.

Regina’s Restaurant is a solid choice if you’re in the area. It’s a unique blend of Italian-Peruvian-Argentinian food in a small one room shack(That’s how you know it’s good). The service is great and the food surprisingly amazing. Here’s what you should order and one thing to not order. What to order: 1) Empanadas– any of them is a solid choice, but we LOVED the spinach and the ham & cheese ones. 2) The fried yucca– perfectly cooked. 3) Plantains– some of the best I’ve had. 4) Meatballs– big and good! 5) Milanesa Completa a Caballo– those eggs make it even better. It’s amazing! 6) Sangria– amazingly sweet and refreshing. What not to order: 7) Pulpo al Olivo– it comes on saltine crackers and is just a little much. It was a great local experience and I’d go back for sure!

First time trying this place. Ordered delivery. Upon arrival presentation was great. Ordered the arroz con mariscos and a lomo saltado. The arroz con mariscos was way too spicy. I am aware that Peruvian food is some what spicy but this was over the top. The lomo saltado had no flavor and came with one tomatoe. I called them back and the manager kept trying to tell me that if I knew the food id know it was spicy. Well, everyone has different tolerance to spice. They should put the level of spice in the menu! THe customer is always right!!!

The service was really good, the woman who helped us was very welcoming and so sweet. She recommended the spinach and cheese empanadas, which were delicious with the ajil! We ordered the parilla with rice. It was really good as well. We asked for the meat to be cooked medium well, but it was a bit undercooked. Overall, we had a great experience, very welcoming. We will definitely come back to try more from their menu. I would recommend this place for everyone.

We came here for the first time last night and it was just a wonderful experience. The woman who waited on us was so welcoming and accommodating. I’m vegetarian so she checked with the chef and came back with several options that could be made with veggies for me, which I greatly appreciated. She was very detailed in responding to our questions about menu items and was so sweet. I ended up getting the chaufa cooked with mushrooms and it was delicious. I didn’t really have high expectations because, normally, when restaurants substitute meat for veggies the new ingredients taste almost like an afterthought. I was very pleasantly surprised and would like to send compliments to the chef for preparing the dish in a way so the mushrooms tasted like they belonged in there. My partner ordered the lomo saltado, which he said was yummy but«clean-tasting»(which makes sense because the restaurant was so nice). Their chimichurri and aji verde sauce greatly amplified the meal. I also ordered a box of alfajores and they weren’t exactly the fresh, flaky, melty ones I’d been hoping for, which was disappointing, but they were still pretty good. I don’t think the restaurant makes them onsite. I brought them back for my dad and he devoured several within minutes. As we were leaving, a man who’d been watching futbol at a nearby table kindly asked if our meal was good and I then realized he was probably the owner. Everyone was so sweet and friendly. We’re definitely planning to come back because we had such an enjoyable experience.

Holy moly! I had my doubts when I looked this place up, but damn I’m glad I found it. My friend and I shared one of each empanada, salad, and the chicken kabob for about $ 40. Yeah it was a bit pricey, but I’m glad we stopped by. The food was well cooked, seasoned, and tasted friggin’ amazing. It’s a humble place, but well worth it.

Went to reginas for the first time with a friend of mine and i came in with zero expectations. I worked in the area for the last 2 years and i regret not knowing this place existed. I couldve been eating some of the most thoughtfully prepared food available in oc We ordered beef empanadas and spinach empanadas… Perfection! We ordered the Milanesa de Pollo… So good! My only regret was not ordering one to go. We ordered the Parillada para dos/tres. Its basically a bunch of delicious meats! Argentinian sausage was great! The calamar frito was great! Perfect! We also ordered the ceviche peruano. Perfect. The sweet potato was delicious and the corn was great also arroz con mariscos was great, but by the time it came out i had stuffed my face with everything else so i just had a quick taste. We also had desert! It was an ice cream served with wafers … I dont remember the name but it was amazing! Although all the food was delicious i would recommend getting the following(A MUST) Empanadas, ceviche, calamari, and the milanesa de pollo. Oh by the way, i fell in love with CANCHASERRANA. Its basically like a healthier less processed version of freshly toasted corn nuts. I even asked for a little container of some to go. I may or may not have eaten some after dinner in my car and then the following morning for breakfast. You’re welcome!
