Ray’s Accurate Roofing

I had a great experience with Ray’s Accurate Roofing. Rhonda was very nice and professional and was able to answer any questions that I had. They were very professional and did an outstanding job. They put up a new roof in a timely manner and I would recommend them to anybody looking for a quality job!

This is the worst Roofer or contractor I have ever worked with. I’m a property manager and have been managing condominium communities for 10 years. I recently contracted with this company to do reroofing and they were the sloppiest, hardest to work with vendor I have ever experienced. I received numerous complaints about their sloppy work from my residents. They left the rain gutters they were removed in the middle of the sidewalks, nails on the driveways and failed to tarp the job when they knew it would not be completed over the weekend in a rain storm was coming. Their caulking was sloppy and inadequate. I had to call them multiple times asking for them to send me invoices so I could pa them their remaining balance owed. once they finally sent the invoices, they forgot to send the biggest invoice they were owed, even after I told them it was missing and asked them to send it so I could pay it. They then threatened to lean the property if I didn’t pay that same invoice within 24 hours of them finally sending it in after me requesting it three times. They didn’t send final, inspection paperwork with the invoices as agreed. I had to call and request that from them numerous times, and their response was for me to call the city myself and get a verbal approval, even though it was clearly stated as an expectation before they did the work, for them to provide the final signoff sheets from the city inspections. they are not an honest vendor and I would not recommend using them ever.

Scheduled a appointment for someone to come out and give an estimate. I rushed home after work. Baby was due for a nap around that time, but I kept him awake so he wouldn’t wake up when the doorbell rang. After about 30 minutes of waiting, I called him to see if someone was still coming (was thinking maybe traffic was awful?) Ray answered and said «oh yea… in long beach…» then proceeded to say «um, well, um…» and then spewed out some BS excuse of his friend’s wife leaving him and running off to utah or some BS state. I said «so no one’s coming.» he said «no…thanks.» and I hung up.
Now, i’m not an uncompassionate person but sorry, but his friend’s personal life is not my problem. And if his friend’s personal life affects his business that much, then imagine the problems I would have encountered had we been in mid construction.

These guys were great. My roof was leaking and they came and took care of everything before I sustained serious damage to the inside of my property. No leaks now!

No the poor review is because several of the seams were not sealed correctly. The leak had nothing to do with the footings from the solar panels. When all the seals were properly sealed (by another roofer) the leak stopped. When I addressed my concerns with ray he was rude, he talked over me, and pulled the old someone is on the other line and hung up on me. That’s my customer service issue. I think ray is a hard worker and knows what’s he’s doing. In my case I was not happy with the final product and how Ray was so dismissive on the possibility that seams not being sealed could have been the source of the leak.

I had 5 roofing contractors come out and give an estimate. Ray showed up on time, clean, with a professional attitude, material handouts, and driving a truck that wasnt out of the Beverly Hillbillies. Ray took the time to explain the materials and replacement process. He gave a very competitive quote, and provided references. I called 4 of his references and all gave positive ratings for his services. In fact one of his references passed me their neighbors’ phone number that had used Accurate Roofing after seeing the job that Ray’s team did on their house. This additional references was also pleased with Ray and his workmanship. Rhonda was very helpful with answering any and all questions that we had. I was very concerned with nail tips coming through the exposed eaves due to the thin plywood. He prevented this by using extra felt paper to minimize the risk of exposed nail tips. In addition, he recommended moving a roof vent that was in a drainage channel. He moved the roof vent and provided the proper vent topper-​for free! The stripping and replacement of 3 layers of roofing was completed on time, on budget (as could be expected, several peices of plywood required replacement) and the cleanup was completed. I’m so happy we went with Ray’s Accurate Roofing and I would absolutely recommend he and his great team.
