Worst Payless Ever. I go to various Payless due to my shoe size being tiny. Customer service is the worst here. Keep away

Located next to the CVS. I’ve been going to this Payless for years now. The employees have for the most part been very helpful… always asking if they can help me find something, telling me about the specials, helping my short self reach shoes on the top row, etc. their in stock selection is pretty good and they’re always willing to call around to other stores if they don’t have a shoe in your size. This location is hardly ever busy or crowded which I love. I can try on my shoes in peace and no line at the register.

The first time I visited this location the gentleman was very helpful in finding the shoe size that I needed, gave me recommendations and also told me about specials going on in a very genuine way, as apposed to saying it just because he had to. When I went to return the shoes that I got, my experience was a completely different. I let the girl that was working know that I wanted to return my shoes. She asked, «Do you just want to exchange them?» I said no thanks and gave her my card to refund. When she swiped my card it wouldn’t read. She LITERALLY swiped my card 25 times. Back and forth with her hand on her hip while there are two people in line behind me. Finally I asked her if it could be refunded in cash because the card wouldn’t read. She didn’t even look at me when she said, «huh uh» and swiped my card another 3 times. She lets out a loud sight then she enters my card number in manually! I could not believe she swiped my card for so long when she could have entered it in long before. Finally she handed me a receipt and asked me to fill out the information. It asked for my name, address, and phone number which I don’t mind giving out but I wanted to know what it was for. When I asked her she said, «I wouldn’t know. Only the manager would know that.» She seemed like she was so annoyed that I was returning my shoes and asked a question. she had no sense of urgency even with customers waiting. I will def not be returning unless the guy with the black curly hair is there because he was awesome. Fail Payless Fail! :(

So a lot of people are embarrassed to shop here since the shoes are cheaper or something … I am not! They have really good shoes! American Eagle– Airwalk– Arash– Montego Bay club– and more! The prices can range from $ 10 — $ 60 Usually they have a sale everyday and every now and then they have a BOGO sale which means buy one get one half off and there is no limit! They really do have the cutest sandals and dress shoes w great quality — I still have shoes I been wearing from 2– 3 years ago still in great condition. If they do not carry your size in that location they will give you $ 4 off and find another location that has it in stock. They also have cute clutches– purses– jewelry– socks — hats– sun glasses — nail polish — scarfs and make up! They carry shoe repair items– cleaners and cushions. The staff at this location is the nicest by far. I signed up for text messages that send me coupons and deals hehe.

BOGO! Yup I luv Payless. Im not your typical girl who loves to buy closet full of shoes and handbags. If I could walk the earth barefoot that is what I would do, or at least in flip flops. Thus I dont like to pay a lot for shoes and will hardly ever see me buying any at the malls or any other shoe store. Payless has actually gotten a lot better quality stuff in the last few years. So give it a try.
