Love on the rocks!!! Food is great. Happy hour is great too. But Ryan, Alyssa, and Ashley are the best. Managers are ok too… just kidding Omar David and Roy. We love this place!

Roy the manager, Taylor and Matt the bartenders I and Andre the security guard have been amazing! The food is the cherry on top! If you want a good place for live music, good food and great service you need to come here!

Ate here a couple years ago and was not the best experience but thought we would give them another chance. We had mozzarella sticks for the appetizer and they were not fresh. No runny gooey anything happening. Most likely sitting under a heat warmer for a while. When the food arrived it looked amazing. My husband had a steak with mashed potatoes and bacon wrapped shrimp. The steak and shrimp were pretty decent but the potatoes were overly seasoned and he couldn’t eat them. Side note, he loves spices. So he is not a bland dude. I had a wedge salad with a side of hair. I was having a romantic dinner with my husband so I decided NOT to say anything. I just slopped off the section that was ‘clean’ and ate that. The dressing was bland for my liking. I actually prefer Outback’s wedge much more.(Their steaks aren’t the greatest, but their wedge is yummy.) The service was not slow but the waitress seemed disinterested in her job. Semi-scowl and lethargic. :(Almost forgot, it was expensive! With a tip $ 80. I have several other places in mind I would have rather spent my $ 80.

I ordered the Surf N Turf, one of the most expensive items on the menu. I got mashed potatoes w/gravy. The gravy was rancid, every bite of steak was fatty and grisly, and the bacon wrapped shrimp was dry. Definitely not worth the price. We’ve been here before for drinks and appetizers and the atmosphere is great. In short it was a disappointing dining experience.

First time visiting! It has a very nice ambience. Was crowded but not full. Well staffed, including multiple security staff. Visited on a Saturday, only day they have no happy hour. Food was good. Staff kept checking on us to male sure our food was good. Had to send back a drink because there was something in it.

A popular watering hole in Cypress, many of the local business employees are here for happy hour on the daily. It’s a little divey but there’s always a lot of people and music playing. Sometimes there will be a live band performing inside. The outdoor seating is plentiful and open through nighttime thanks to plenty of heaters. Happy hour is $ 3 for domestic draft $ 4 for import, $ 5 for Guiness. Wine & well drinks are $ 6 – 8. Food is ok, but nothing extraordinary. Stick to drinking because that’s what bars are for!

Excellent atmosphere! Great patio area! Inside looks brand new. Service was very good. Good selection of beers and cocktails. Bartenders were very friendly and knew how to make the drinks. Food was awesome! Can’t wait to go back again! Two thumbs up!

This review is for their bar area. I feel like On the Rocks is a mixed between a restaurant and dive bar. I came here for the first time on a Monday night with one other person around 9pm and it was surprisingly busy. There were many groups, large and small, inside either eating or drinking. My friend and I decided to sit at the bar area. They had many wells drinks and beers on tap specials. The bartender was pretty generous with the alcohol and kept them coming. She was very friendly, fast, and cool. The inside is pretty large. They have a good size eating area and a huge bar. They were playing pretty good music and had music videos playing on their screens. The crowd here are middle age people and they were all pretty cool. I’m really glad I was introduced to this place since it is nearby my home, has good priced drinks, and has a cool vibe. I will be back.

I had a great first experience at On the Rocks! I’ve driven past many times and always wondered if it was any good and it definitely was. It is in Garden Grove, right off the 405 freeway. It’s very close to Seal Beach. I came in the early evening for happy hour, which goes until 6:30. This place has an awesome happy hour. $ 4.50 glasses of house wine, draft beers and well drinks, and tasty appetizers that range from $ 2.50 to $ 10. The appetizers include calamari, edamame, French fries(regular and sweet potato) and so much more. My friends and I ordered a few things and shared it all. One of the appetizers was called the«rocks» dip and it was incredible. It came with super soft bread and was made up of cheese, olives, jalapeños, and a few other things. It was delicious. I am for sure ordering it again. This restaurant is really pretty on the inside and they have a lovely patio area as well. The patio is surrounded by small waterfall fountains and there are heaters too, which was nice since it was chilly out. My friends and I sat outside and had a great time. Our server was really nice and attentive; I wish I had caught her name. She was super sweet and gave us a warning before happy hour ended so we could get in last minute orders. My friends and I hadn’t hung out in a while and we had a lot to catch up on and our server didn’t make us feel rushed to leave even though we stayed for a while. I will definitely be coming back. I have now found my new happy hour spot! Great prices, cool atmosphere, and close to my house!

Went to On The Rocks last Friday with my friend for a GNO and it was packed, but we got a table on their cozy, fire-lit patio right away! Service was more than decent, not super overly friendly, but attentive enough to our needs, she made sure we had plenty of wine, served our food in a timely manner, and all the while she was extremely busy. Everything was delicious. I had the Southwestern Grilled Cheese with sweet potato fries which was to die for, and my friend had the Rocks Salad, which she absolutely loved. We relaxed by the fire pits and sipped wine, and chatted, all while watching the Laker game on tv! This is the fifth or sixth time I’ve been here, and every time I’ve had a great experience, I can’t believe I haven’t reviewed until now! Give On The Rocks a try!!! You won’t be disappointed!

I wish i could give some of the reviewers 1 star! I’ve been here at least a dozen times and always had a stellar experience. I will describe what it IS, because if you go in expecting it to be something is not, you will be disappointed and write another bad review that doesn’t make sense. 1) It’s a sports and music bar. It will be loud inside. If you want quiet, try something that’s not all about sports and music. Don’t go to a sports bar and then write it a bad review. 2) It’s a sports bar that serves decent food, not a fine dining establishment where you can order a cocktail with dinner. I have enjoyed everything I’ve ordered except the guacamole, which had way too many onions in it for my taste. I particularly like the grilled salmon and the mac and cheese appetizer. If you’re expecting a *restaurant,* you’re likely to be disappointed. If you’re expecting a great place to hang out for a while, watch a game, maybe have a few drinks … AND you’re hungry … this will definitely fit the bill. 3) The outdoor patio is intended to be a place where the smokers can also hang out and be comfortable. There is comfy seating both indoors and out. Get over yourself. Frankly, I’ve hardly ever noticed anyone smoking on the patio, and most of the time that’s the only place I sit because it’s not so loud. If you don’t want to take a chance on that, sit inside. 4) Did I mention it’s a sports bar? Not sure it’s where I’d choose to hold a *baby shower,* but I’m also not surprised they’d discourage that kind of event. Also, for those who didn’t fail math, 50 people for $ 1k is only $ 20 each, and 50 people at a baby shower wouldn’t do their atmosphere and regular clientele any favors. It’s not unreasonable. If that bends you out of shape, try … oh … something that’s not a *sports bar.* 5) I rarely drink and usually I go to curl up in one of their comfy outdoor chairs, have dinner, and read a book. That said, it’s a very nice *sports bar,* and I actually would walk out if I had to battle 50 women at a baby shower for a clear path to an open restroom stall. If it’s too loud, too smoky, or too busy for me to curl up and read, I am not going to expect it to stop being what it is to accommodate me — I’m going to find a place better suited to my needs. 6) I personally have only had great service. I have also been there many times and never seen a mouse, but nature does sometimes find its way into buildings. Unless I find it in my food, I’m not hitting the panic button, but, again, obviously YMMV. This is a beautiful facility with(IMO) a nice atmosphere and good food. Bottom line: What it sets out to do, in my experience it does very well.

The reply I got from on the rocks was totally wrong. First off I emailed the company 3 times. I then went to social media to try and contact them and they still did not get back to me. Private messages were sent via Instagram which went completely ignored as well. Lastly, after all other attempts I had to drive to the location to actually get someone to give me more information. The last baby shower we had there was for 60 plus people and yes it was downstairs due to the upstairs not being up to code/able to use. That party was in 2012. The party prior to that was in the summer of 2011 with about 40 people Party prior to that was in 2009 with about 70 people. I don’t appreciate on the rocks stating that I didn’t contact them prior to going… That’s a LIE. Poor management hands down. I had to go to the location which wasn’t an issue since no one was getting back to me in. Regards to having another party there. Finally we met with a lady named Vicki(the one who’s been ignoring us pretty much) Anyway, we’ve hosted 3 parties there with no requirement(we’ve always spent about $ 600-$ 700) now Vicki says we have to spend $ 1000 for food at a baby shower. This is simply ridiculous. 3 parties there and gave many referrals and they want us to spend 1k for a party of 50 people. Won’t do business with them again. Pure BS

Natalie was our server and extremely friendly and informative. We had the Rocks Dip and the pulled pork Sliders with an upgrade on the Parmesan Fries. Everything we had was hot and delicious and served with aplomb. My GF had the Very Raspberry Lemontini, but with a little Sprite instead of lemon. Another waitress came to our table(from the bartender) to check the exact mixology. It was a great mix, just the way she wanted it. That took the edge off a stressed out day for her! Thanks Rocks… Well recommended, we will return.

CREDITCARDFRAUDALERT!!! I came here hoping to make this the new place for our happy hour group, but unfortunately the shady staff tried to pull a credit card fraud! I know for sure it’s this restaurant because this is the first time I physically use this card ANYWHERE. Thanks On the Rocks Bar & Grill for a fun night of theft and drinks =) I hope you find better staff in the future

I’m a big believer in good service, but when I experience great service, I like to shout it out to the world. Our server, Jamie, was pure, unfiltered, raw awesomeness. Because of her attentiveness and making sure my friend and I were taken care of, this place went from a solid 3 stars to a 4 star experience and the reason why me and my posse will be coming back. On The Rocks Bar & Grill has an atmosphere that I like. It has nice décor with a mixture of stone theme and nice, plush dark wood. It has a nice decorative feel to it and there are plenty of flat screen televisions to watch sporting events, fights, or whatever you ask the bartender to put on. It’s loud, it’s busy, and there’s a mixed crowd that usually behaves. My kind of place. Frankly, I’m a little surprised at some of the reviews that talk about how great the food is here. I’ve been here enough times to say that the food here is VERY average. The edamame that we started off with was good, but the roast sandwich that we ordered tasted funny, and the fries were pretty standard. When I got my ahi tuna salad the first thing I noticed was how small it was. The presentation was nice, but the tuna did not look fresh, it didn’t taste very fresh so I ate it with a mild sense of trepidation. Some more lettuce and some more greens on the salad would have been nice. The salad dressing was really tasty though. Maybe I should have ordered the sliders? No way man, I remembered how tiny they were the last time(yes, I realize sliders are smaller hamburgers, but these were REALLY small). It’s a bar of mostly 20 to 30 something folks, with a few of us old timers thrown in, it can get loud at times and super loud during the UFC fights. At least that’s how it is when I come here on Friday or Saturday nights. They have live bands performing here too on some weekend nights — good times all around. As long as their drinks are good, their service stays top notch, I’ll put up with their mediocre food, that’s how much I like this place. If they could make their food fresher and give slightly bigger portions, I think they would need to expand from all the word-of-mouth, viral advertising they would get.

Last two times the food has been terrible. I ordered tri tip medium rare it came out cold. I sent it back, all they did was reheat it until it was well done. Sent it back again. My friend is finished with dinner, I’m still waiting. Last time we had to send back the fried zucchini which was burnt. The artichoke was on fire. Come for drinks. Eat before.
