Did not know this used to be Quan Hy! Matter of fact, I spent 20 minutes going up and down the street looking for Quan Hy! lol! I went to Quan Hy on Bolsa and liked it but didn’t want to drive all the way down there and heard there was another one on Westminster! I gave up and just went into this place, not knowing! How funny! Thanks, LP, for pointing that out! Mystery solved! The address isn’t exactly clear on those buildings! Anywho, I had their pork/beef noodles which tasted fine. Can’t really compare since I don’t eat it that much. I did try their pork spring rolls which were fine also but cannot come close to Brodard’s! It certainly was what looked like a tiny hole in the wall from the outside but it was pretty nicely decorated on the inside. The service was good, then again, it was only myself there at lunch time!

Did you know this hole-in-the-wall location used to be Quan Hy, before they pulled a Crustacean? Now Ngoc Hue occupies the space. The food is kinda pricey except for the three discounted specials that are like $ 4. I tried their bun rieu(irregular crab-and-egg meatball noodle soup). It comes with blood cubes and tofu. There isn’t too much rieu though, and the rieu that’s there, are all little bits the size of corn kernels. I’d rather pay alittle more to have some big chunks, than pay the discounted price for mostly tomato noodle soup with blood and tofu. I also tried their banh beo chen. It was pretty good for the price, I think about $ 5. Eight little dishes topped with shredded shrimp or crab, I forget, perhaps both. It doesn’t come with deep fried pork skin though. Without that crunch it seems like something is missing. :\
