I arrived at the store at 9:45am, waiting for the store to open at 10:00am. At 10:00am, the store was still closed. At 10:15am, they opened the door. I went inside and sat down at the counter. There were about 7 people behind the counter, but not one of them asked if they could help me. I waited until 10:30am and finally asked if anyone was going to help me get a pair of sunglasses. They all ignored me. I have never in my life been to a store so RUDE in my life!!! I hope that if you’re thinking about choosing this store, then go somewhere else if you actually would like customer service. Buyer BEWARE!!!

Service is really bad. I came to store around 10 am and I saw 4 employees but they did not say«Hi «. I waited for 10 mins anyone help me, but nobody did. I don’t know why they were here. I asked them«did I wait more time to have service? « And They said«maybe someone.» I said«it’s ok. I did not want and left the store« Guess? They were busy? No. At that time I was the only one customer. Guess? Am I looking to buy cheaper one? I am the VP of company. If you want to feel what is really bad service, you will go and waste your money and time.

Stopped by this place shopping for prescription frames & was quite disappointed with the customer service. The worker & manager are shady. Their business is fishy. I asked to see Chanel frames & they told me because I wasn’t referred by anyone I can’t see the Chanel frames. What the heck?! Also the worker told me if she shows me the Chanel frames to keep it on the down low & not go tell anyone because the Irvine store is only authorized to sell the Chanel frames. Well since you refuse to show me, I think the whole world & Chanel company should know about this ridiculous situation. Shady business will make you lose customers! I’m glad I went else where.

Everyone here speaks English, which is convenient for me when I don’t feel like speaking in Korean. I like the styles of glasses they have here. There was a mature lady who helped me adjust glasses I had purchased years ago from here. She was very nice and did a good job of adjusting them. At one time I really wanted to get LASIK surgery, but after hearing some stories from friends of Taiwanese descent, whose eyes look similar to mine, I became less interested. I like wearing eyeglasses. I feel like my IQ shoots up 10 points when I wear them. Definitely very helpful in these competitive times. Years ago I wore contact lenses regularly but I much prefer eyeglasses. They do have contact lenses if you are interested in them, but for me, I’ll stick with glasses. Eye exams are reasonably priced if you don’t have vision insurance. I think the optometrist here is very smart.

Was suppose to go to MImi optometry but decided to give this place a try since my optometry place doesn’t carry chanel. My eye exam was quick, my vision is mainly the same nothing changes. The Dr. Was very optimistic so that made the experience very pleasant. Andy was the one who helped me decide on my new chanel glasses. I really wanted my old one that I lost the chanel 3212 but it’s discontinued :(. After trying on many diffrent pairs and Andy patiently help me try and decide on which one, we decided on the chanel 3291. Overall, this was a pleasant experience because it’s really hard for me to pick a frame that matches me. .. So thank you for your patients.

My parents have been customers of Nara for the last 10+ years. I’ve tagged along a few times and have purchased three pairs of sunglasses. Service has always been really great. Also, they have a fantastic selection of designer eyewear — Prada, SALT, Tom Ford, Dior, Chanel, etc. I haven’t had many eye exams, but it was concluded that my vision was excellent. However, I noticed that I was having a more difficult time reading text from a distance lately and decided it was time for a vision exam. It was free with medical insurance and I discovered that I have an astigmatism. The doctor was surprised I had gone so long without correctional lenses! Therefore, I was given a prescription of a very mild correction. A very helpful and friendly associate helped me choose frames(I ended up with cute Tom Ford ones) and they finished cutting my lenses while we were still at the store! I also took advantage of the Unilocal check-in offer of free anti-glare coating on the lenses. Everything was so simple and service was extremely prompt. The doctor was also friendly and it was very easy to talk to him. It was a great experience and I only wish it was closer to home!

No complaints about this place, although I never know what kind of customer service I’m going to get. Our family has been coming here for years, but every time I go in I’m still unsure if they’re giving us the standard prices for things, or trying to rip us off. That’s the kind of vibe I get from this place. This only applies when I’m alone of course. When I’m with my parents, I feel like they have better customer service and are more respectful, which makes sense because it is a Korean optometry. Overall, if you need good quality glasses, they’ll deliver. The kind of customer service you’ll get, I can’t quite say.

DONOT(FORTHELOVEOFGOD) GO!!! Ok, it’s official. I am NEVER returning to Nara Optometry. It’s so disheartening to know that I’ve been a loyal customer for so long and be shafted. I recently broke my Tiffany’s glasses(luckily, within the one-year warranty). Since it was within one year, I expected an entire frame replacement, however, the SA’s kept pushing for a replacement on the leg. I found that to be incredibly ridiculous and kept pushing to replace the entire frame. I got so upset that I didn’t want to fight about it anymore and told the SA to do whatever she wanted. Later, I received a phone call from the manager and was told that I would receive new frames but had to pay $ 25 for shipping/handling. I was enraged that I was required to pay that amount and kept fighting it but he wouldn’t budge. I requested a loaner pair of glasses since the optometrist prescribed that I wear my contacts for no more than 12 hours or to wear my glasses as soon as I go home from work(eye strain). The manager would not give me a loaner either(I’ll give him credit; he tried to find another Tiffany’s frame but failed). After a week, I received a phone call on Monday and was told that my frame would arrive a day later. Fine. Received a phone call on Tuesday and was told that I could pick it up, unfortunately, they would be closed on Wednesday. Fine. I went on Saturday to pick it up. Saturday — One of the legs on the frame was BENT! After 15 minutes, I returned and was so annoyed and it was still bent and did not fit my face correctly. I didn’t even want to bother to fix it so I left. As soon as I got home, I took off my contacts to wear my glasses and it kept sliding off the bridge of my nose and I was getting an intense headache because of the leg. It was to the point that I couldn’t wear it anymore so I just resorted to being blind. I want to go back to Nara to complain but I just don’t want to deal with them anymore. Seriously, fuck Nara. Also, when I was at Nara, I saw a Vietnamese client arguing with the sales guy on the exorbitant price she was asked to pay(over $ 500!). One of the SA(the same one who wanted to charge me $ 110 for half a year of contacts) was incredibly rude to her by saying she’s wrong. He wouldn’t even APOLOGIZE professionally and try to correct her.(I would expect a sincere, «I am so sorry for any confusion. Let’s try to break the price structure down together» but heard a «Oh~~~ No no no no no. You are wrong.») What kind of fucked up customer service is that?! My husband went to SCCO and he only paid $ 30 for his years supply of contacts!!! Also, since SCCO is an optometry school, they were extremely thorough with his exam and pinpointed all discrepancies and possible cause of concern of his eyeballs. Plus, he received a free follow-up and was given recommendations on how to take care of his eyes. Last year, I paid over $ 200 at Nara for a 10 minute exam. Yeah, Nara lost a client.

I was so lost. I could not find this place for the life of me – stupid gps. I called the place and after some struggle, I was directed to someone who spoke English. She was very sweet and explained where the place was located. After a good 30 minutes of searching, I was finally able find it! Once I entered, it was a bit hard to get some help. Either they were busy talking to other customers or knew that I didn’t speak a word of Korean so they didn’t help. But finally I met a sweet girl named Sophie whose English wasn’t perfect but good enough for us to communicate. She helped me get in with the doctor and the visit went well. Afterwards, Sophie explained how my insurance worked for contact lenses and she even gave me types of contacts to try on and take home. When I went back to pick up the rest of my contacts, they said that they did not have two other cases and they would come later. I wish they told me this over the phone – all they said was that the contacts were ready for pick up. So if only I could minus ½ a star for that… *~*~*EDIT*~*~* The other pack of contacts was backordered so they kindly called me(I think it was Anna – another very sweet girl) and said they would have it shipped to my home address at no charge to me. She even submitted my rebate form for me! It was very kind of them and for that – I will give them 5 stars :) Overall it was a great place. Ask for Sophie if you don’t speak Korean! She’s great!

I have been a loyal customer of Nara Optometry for many years. Peter and staff are very personable, knowledgeable, friendly and professional. They are always very patient in helping you find the perfect pair of glasses … and believe me it takes time because Nara carries a huge selection of all the latest styles and brands! In addition, the eye exams are always quick, easy and hassle free. I’ve only come in for exams on the weekends where they only take walk-ins, and I’ve never had to wait very long. Nara has always given me great recommendations on contact lenses, prescription glasses, lenses and sunglasses to keep my eyes in working order whether I’m in front of the computer at work, driving at night, or exercising. The people, service, products and excellent quality will have me coming back for many years to come.

I came here on two occasions for prescription sunglass lenses. This last time I went in and I asked for a discount on the lenses. The lady asks for my information to check that I have actually been there before but she can’t find my chart. She says that she can’t give me a discount this time but next time if I buy a frame she will be able to give me a better deal. Losing my chart is one thing. But when I came in to have the lenses installed in the frames, they chipped the lens as they were cutting it. I’m a little frustrated because I drove out and waited, only to find out that they have to re-order another lens. I asked for a discount due to the inconvenience, and the guy says that he can’t because they already wrote it up. Ok. As a small business, when you make a mistake and you aren’t able to deliver on your promised service, you should make accommodations. Something has to be done in order to placate a likely frustrated consumer. Unless you are a small business that doesn’t care about negative reviews.

Service? Stellar! Company image? Clean, friendly & good value! Location? Rather busy but a no real complaints! Selection? As good as anyone I can think of! Have you talked with Peter here? He’s enthusiastic and really earnest in helping you find a frame you are happy with. He sat with us for an hour as my girl decided on her next fashion statement. Peter cited us with opinions and was really as involved in the process as we asked him to be. Really great and personable. When we came back to pick up, Linda helped us with eye exams for myself & young brother. She took our orders, explained the process and stuck with us as we took up another hour of her time adjusting my girlfriend’s glasses for the best fit. The optometrist working in in the office is also very friendly! Answered questions about eye conditions, made the testing easy and straightforward. Nara Optometry has a good reputation and now I know why first hand. The vibe here is good from the moment you step foot in the door until you leave. They can get busy on the weekends but they’re working their best to serve everyone. I recommend!
