This is usually my bff’s go to place for Korean comfort food. It’s literally tucked behind a mechanic shop or something. Not much in the plaza, but a few stores which I don’t even know what they are. They barely speak English, so better take someone there that speaks Korean or know what to order. Till this day, I don’t even know what we order or the name of the dish. The waitresses are super nice and friendly. We normally order the kimchi dumplings, the potato or radish soup, and this dish with pork belly with napa cabbage wraps. Sorry, I wish I had taken a picture of the menu. I usually don’t need to look and let my friend order. My bad! Next time! At the end, they give you this cold sweet not rice drink. So delish and refreshing afterwards. Definitely a place to go to for comfort food.

Their sulungtang and hejanggook is the best!!! I’ve been coming here since I was little and their food hasn’t changed one bit! The kimchi here is my favorite and I love all the bonchon that they put out on the table. It’s all impeccable! The waitress is always so friendly and gives extra shikkae hehe. Buy their frozen dumplings so you can have comfort food at home! This place is amazing!

Came in here on Sunday for lunch for their slamming gamjitang. Service was impeccable!!! The waitress is always so friendly. My husband decided to order the black goat stew this time and he said it was pretty good but not much meat. But when he saw my bowl of gamjitang with all the hearty meat and bones sticking out of the broth, he immediately regretted not having ordered it. Love, love, love this place for its gamjitang and service! Will def be back!

I have been coming here for years. Tried almost everything they have in the menu and the best is still Gam Ja Tang. Based on my experience it is by far the most authentic, as well as the side-dish. Although they only have three type but the kimchee and radish are to die for. It looks like one of those family operated restaurant. They will promptly check if you are out of the side dishes and actively ask you if refill is needed. This is very unusual. Probably the best restaurant I have ever been in both food and services.

Hanuri was my fav place in Garden Grove but no anymore. Bad service. to the point I didn’t want to tip them. One waitress is so rude and disrespectful. I’m all about service. If you’re that rude. then you don’t belong there. kills it for everyone eles…

This is my first time and i feel in love with this place. Their foods seem very authentic and flavorful, i enjoyed the bossam and the pork soup(i forgot the name). Also, the portion is very large. We could not finish all and had to take it home. The service is absolutely awesome! Thats an old woman but she looks always energize and happy to serve you! I definitely will be back!!!

I love this place and I’ve been coming here since 80’s and still the same awesome food and service! Their Gam Ja Tang is my favorite and I make to go for their hand made dumplings. The price is real good for the amount of food and taste. You should eat here if you like soup dishes!

$ 5.99 special! Can’t beat that! The Kim Chee cold noodle soup is so tasty! Come in a huge bowl, very large portion. The Kim Chee here is so good and fresh. Not overly salty. The waitress is so sweet and nice too. Not like the ones in Ktown that are rude because you are not Korean. Very sweet lady here. You know she is truest nice because she was still smiling after she was walking away. Not just fake smiling to our face. Happy Kim Cheeing!

This place is a whole in the wall in my opinion. It’s literally hidden in the back of buildings but the food is absolutely delicious! I came in with my cousin on a Thursday afternoon after we were indecisive of what to eat. She recommended this place and said their gamjatang was really good. I ordered it and the lady that was working there brought out a huge bowl. It came with rice and a few side dishes that included seaweed, kimchi, and radishes. The soup tastes home cooked and was great! They don’t skimp out on the meat that comes with the bones. I added extra green onions because I love it. There were a lot of people there that included ahjummas and ahjussis. A lot of halmonies and harrabojis were also there closer to when I left. Guess they also liked the restaurant’s authentic taste. the service there was excellent and the lady always asked if we needed anything and more kimchi. I am definitely coming back to this place and would highly recommend it
