Great place for korean bbq. Great price for the amount of food forall you can eat. The service was great. They came by. And ask if you need more meat or appetizers.

Either the sides at this place have downgraded or I am just unlucky because ever since it turned into red castle, there is no FISHCAKE or glass noodles/japchae. Also the music in the background does not match with what is on the TV anymore. My experience here use to be 4 stars, but these things are really essential to the whole experience.

My girlfriend and I went around 20 min before last call and they were really cool about it. The customer service was 9⁄10. There were at least 4 different people checking up on us. The brisket, pork belly, and bulgogi taste delicious. I gave it 5 stars because of the price(10.99) relative to the quality of the food. We ordered about 6 dishes and the portions were great.

So this is an AYCE Korean BBQ place in Garden Grove with 3 options, $ 10.99, $ 13.99 and $ 16.99. So I’m sitting here as we’re waiting for our food with my group of 7 and we’re all talking about how small each portion of meat is ridiculously small, everyone in our group was not happy at all and the kitchen is backed up for meats and they limited us to ordering 2 plates at a time. The servers were nice and cool and chill but they need to hire more servers, even though we ordered menu A for $ 10.99, they gave us 10% off and it still is not worth it because we’re leaving and still hungry and the floors were so grossly slippery. So all in all servers are cool but everything else is not appealing, the most hungry I have ever left an AYCE Korean BBQ restaurant but maybe it’s because they are in the process of changing ownership.

This place is so much better now that there is a new owner. I love coming here because of the price. I don’t eat A LOT since I’m a small person so I never feel like I wasted my money since it’s only $ 10.99. Quality is so much better from what it was before as well! Don’t come here hungry, the wait can sometimes be long.

Came here on a Sunday @ 630pm, it was a 40mins wait. I don’t like how the tables are so close together, but the service was fast & friendly! They have 2 options for the ayce 10.99 $ &14.99 $. everything was pretty basic to me. not much varieties of side dishes & we were limited to kimchi. Everything was pretty bland from the salad dressing to brisket sauce to side dishes. i would still choose Hwang Jip in Cypress for 10 $ ayce Korean bbq

For $ 10AYCE you can’t expect much. Cons: Dirty. We sat down to wet chairs with food in them. Grills suck — Takes forever to cook and kept turning off. Meat is lower quality. Super fat. Portions of meat are small. Not much sides Pros: Great service Fast workers Wait isn’t that bad Grill change often! Would I come back? If I’m in the area, probably!

First time back in 3 years . Brisket: had a few plates but it’s changed since the last time. They are cut nice and thin and the meat isn’t rough, until you get those dark looking batches which only came around once. The rest was juicy and good marbling to it . Beef belly: fat galore. Big pieces of fat on them but not as good as the brisket. The brisket stood out . Fish cake: flavor was really good, super addicting . Service: 100%, grill changes. Very good peeps . Would return since I had a great experience quality has changed and for the better.

When we first arrived there was no organization. There wasn’t a list to our your name down or anything. After they finally brought it out we placed our name down and waited. We were a party of 8 so we expected to wait a bit but the service was ridiculous First they noted that we would have to wait for 2 tables to open up because we were such a big groups. oKay we say. We got an update that one table was open and we would need to just wait a bit long. Oh good I’m hungry! Then they told us they gave the table away… um what? Okay well wait more After about 30 minutes of mixed messages we finally settled for eating at 2 different tables relatively close to each other When we finally stared grilling. THEGRILLKEPTTURNINGOFF! After about 10 minutes of flagging down the staff over and over we finally got to grill. But during this fiasco. The hostess(maybe the owner?) took the grill with our uncooked meat off the flame to relight the fire, she placed it on the table! The grill with the raw meat we were about to eat on the table we were eating on! I couldn’t believe it! 4⁄5 Over all food is decent. Meat is good sides not so much. They don’t even have cabbage kimchi Service: 2⁄5 Service

I’m from the Bay area, where the cheapest korean bbq you can find is $ 20.99. So coming to Socal, my friend and I hadddddddddddd to get some joog korean bbq. When we go eat AYCE, because it’s so hefty on the price we usually stuff ourselves trying to get our moneys worth. When we came here, we didn’t stuff ourselves because the price was so cheap. We ordered the usual bulgogi, spicy pork and what not and they were goooood. Probably better than the ones we have in the Bay Area. SERVICE: Service was great as well, don’t come in here expecting top notch service because you won’t get it. They are understaffed, so you see them running around like crazy.

For $ 10.99 ayce the quality of the meat is actually pretty good! I haven’t been here in a couple of years & finally gave it a try after hearing a lot about this place being under new management. I ordered brisket, pork belly, intestine & beef belly. The beef belly was definitely my favorite and a must order! The staff was attentive & friendly & asked if we needed anything before we even had to flag them down. The only downside is they don’t carry large intestine :( Overall I would come back for a cheap meal & good service.

Apparently this place has been bought and is under new management within the last couple months. Quality of the meat has increased and the service has improved a lot since I last went here(2 – 3 years ago). $ 10.99 or all you can eat KBBQ for dinner is a pretty good deal if you ask me! It doesn’t include the more premium meats like beef tongue or steamed egg pot, but you can always upgrade your meal and get the higher tier for a couple bucks more. Service was on point! They’re always making sure that everything is filled and our orders are always taken. My favorite side dish there has got to be the macaroni salad. It’s simply delicious. Beware! Don’t eat too much or else you’ll get full before the meat haha

Honestly for $ 11 ayce you can’t really complain. Menu A is 11 and Menu B is $ 15. The sides were good and the salad too. The tongs kinda suck, involves a lot of thumb muscle. All meat quality is okay. Nothing was terrible and nothing stood out to complain/say anything. Angel was my server tonight and he had really great customer service. He made the experience pleasant. He was very accommodating, nice, and attentive. He even helped us cut up the pork steak and was super nice about it. The owner, the lady it seems, was really sweet and nice. Made sure the table was cleaned thoroughly before we were seated and checked on customers at each table after that. The customer service is just beyond and for that reason I gave flower pig 4 stars instead of 3(for the food and atmosphere only). Probably would come again if I’m on a budget.

I was randomly in town and didn’t know what to eat. I’ve heard about this KBBQ spot here and there throughout the years and I decided that I was long over due on indulging. It was about 3PM on a Sunday and we didn’t really have to wait. Our waiter was very kind and attentive but he did forget to bring out a few things. It was a bit busy so no big deal. They have 2 selections here for AYCE. The $ 9.99 combo comes with your typical brisket, pork belly, etc. The $ 14.99 one kicks it up a notch and adds sirloin steak, ribeye, etc. For the price, the quality was actually really good! I would say one of the better KBBQ-on-a-budget places. Recommended!

Went here once like 2 years ago and never came back since. Just recently I heard that Flower Pig supposedly has been taken over by the previous owners of Red Palace(before they sold it off). I loved Red Palace and would drive 20 – 25 minutes just to get it from Santa Ana. I thought it was one of the best $ 10AYCEKBBQ places I’ve been to so I was pretty excited to hear about Flower Pig since now it would be a lot closer to me. Like the old Red Palace(before new management since they don’t offer the free check-in anymore), make sure to check into Unilocal for a FREE soda! Tonight was actually my second time at Flower Pig. The first time I was here was a pleasant experience, this time… not so much. The first time I was at Flower Pig, I had the hispanic waiter and he was pretty on point with my table. He’s probably my favorite waiter here. This time, I had Kevin. I called him, Kevin the Forgetful. It all started with me entering into the restaurant and being ignored for a good 5 minutes even though everyone knew I was there but everyone avoided all eye contact with me. There was no host so I had no idea who I had to tell that I wanted a table for 3. Shortly after I finally flag someone down and said that I needed a table for 3. They clean off a table and then we finally get seated after some time. This place was pretty much a mad house for the whole time we dined. They were definitely understaffed with 3 waiters, one managing one side of the restaurant and 2 managing the larger side of the restaurant. I was watching how everything worked and it seemed like the 2 who were supposed to manage the larger side of the restaurant, 1 was only managing the top half and the other was managing the whole side which has a total of 12 tables. It seemed very inefficient to me because the half closest to the door was often being neglected while the half closest to the kitchen had 2 servers waiting on them. Anyway, the service was definitely lacking this time around. I had to tell Kevin on multiple occasions that we needed cups of water, salt and pepper, and oil. He just kept forgetting everything and he would disappear for long periods of time. I was trying my best to be patient with him but it was an ongoing issue where he would go to the kitchen(and I would watch him) and then he would end up picking up something else and doing other things. I felt like everyone in that restaurant was trolling me because we were ignored throughout most of our dinner and had to flag people down constantly, just so that they’d forget again… then at the end, people start to ask what we need. Like really? Are you guys just mocking me now? The meat was just what you’d expect from a $ 10AYCE place. All we ordered was brisket and pork belly. We couldn’t even eat as much as we wanted because of the slow service(I feel like this was all part of their plan to get us to eat less). Also, the only thing I ate there from their sides was their salad(which now has cabbage in it, yuck). I never realized how much service plays into my experience but it does a great deal. Not sure if I’d come back but if I do, I’d try my best to be in the section of my first waiter.

Under new management! And my goodness, it is sooooo much better than what it used to be! For $ 10, you can’t beat the price! There aren’t many other cheap places in the area — now I don’t have to drive to red palace when I’m craving kbbq but am short on $$. The quality of the meat isn’t the best, but you get a variety of options. They also have thrifty ice cream but not when I came :(oh and be ready to smell after — it’s been 7 hours and my clothes still reek of bbq Came in on a Monday night and it looked pretty crowded, but waited only about 5 minutes for a table. They’re clearly doing much better now under the new management; this place looked crackinn! The owner was a little korean lady that was really attentive and just smiling the whole time, she was so happy, it was so cute! She had even pulled out our seats for us as she was showing us to our table. She came to check up on us multiple times to make sure everything was going well. A+ for service! They have 3 different pricing options($ 10, $ 14, $ 17) — same pricing all day! I stuck with the cheapest option, which included different types of meat, rice, miso soup, curry udon, etc. None of the meat was amazing, but you get what you pay for Smoked bacon: was okay, tasted like a fatty ham Garlic pork belly: was okay, very light garlic flavor Spicy pork bulgogi: was okay Marinated squid: also just okay Brisket: did not like, it was too lean. Was super chewy. Only got one plate but didn’t bother finishing it Curry udon: just udon in a curry broth, would not get again I probably should’ve gotten option B because that one included beef belly, but oh well, there’s always next time. All things considered, it’s pretty darn good for the price and won’t break the bank. Don’t forget to check in for a free soda!

The last time I came here was two years ago. I got food poisoning and that made me never want to come back again. Well, I came back because my friends told me that ITGOTBETTER so of course I had to give it another try especially since $ 10AYCE kbbq is rare now a days. My boyfriend and I wanted to try the $ 10 menu because he wanted to compare it to his previous times. We got brisket, bulgogi, pork belly, garlic pork belly, and smoked bacon. I also got a curry udon. Brisket — the first plate I got was very lean and I’m a beef belly person so I didn’t really like it. The 2nd plate was a lot better. I enjoy the brisket taste and the 2nd plate had that taste. Bulgogi — not bad, but I thought the marinade was a little odd. It wasn’t that sweet. MYMAINCONCERNWASTHEPORK. The last two times I came, the pork had a very interesting smell. It smell like urine. My boyfriends dad said it’s because the pig was killed when his bladder was full. I don’t know if that’s true, but it was very unpleasant. Well, all the pork was not bad and ITDIDNTHAVETHESMELL. That really sold me, and now I want to come back more often. The smoked bacon was interesting. I didn’t really know how to cook it so I just cooked it regular bacon. It turned out pretty good. I didn’t like the curry udon. It was weird. All the plates we tried was a lot better than last time. However, I was not satisfied with option A because I wanted beef belly. Next time, I think I would want to try option B because it has more beef options. I’m a beef person. I think with option C, I would rather just go to Gen however I am interested in their LA ribs. Now my favorite part is the ice cream. Unlimited ice cream. It’s not just any regular ice cream but Thriftys!!! I saw a table finish, and just stay, eating ice cream for over 15 minutes. I heard the new owners were previous owners of Red Palace which is a decently good kbbq place according to my friends. I can only see this place getting better, which also means with increasing popularity, the $ 10 price may be gone soon. So hurry, come, and take advantage of this price before they increase prices. It’s not a guarantee that they’ll increase prices but you know, supply and demand. Wait was about 15 mins around 3pm. Prices are the same all day. 3 stars is not a lot, but I can definitely say that it’s a bang for your buck. The food filled my stomach and did satisfied my kbbq craving. I didn’t get food poisoning. I would have given this place 1 star before so it’s definitely a big improvement.

Arrived at 5:45 on January 2nd for a party of 2. Yes, the day after New Years. We were immediately greeted upon entering by the boss lady. Super cheerful, happy and energetic as if she just took some Molly’s. Big smile and everything. Once she seated us, she immediately said«happy new year!!!» With an even bigger smile. Once we were seated, it took them around 5 minutes to bring out all the sides. See pic below for the sides. The server said we had to order 3 types of meat for our first order. I got the bacon(damn good, 5⁄5 for this), beef bulgogi(5⁄5 since it was so damn cheap), and brisket(5⁄5 for this because it was super fresh!) I also got the spicy marinated pork(3⁄5 for this since it was whatever. Ehh yeah totally whatever). There is a lady who walks by every table and changes out the grill. Super cool since the freakin grills need to be changed after each type of meat. Not sure why. But yeah, there’s a woman who walks in circles around the restaurant whose job is to change grills haha. Sucks for her, good for us. The boss lady actually walks around and refills the water cups for everyone. Service is top notch, so I have no idea what people were saying regarding the«terrible service,» because service is amazing. Anyway I’ll be back. Won’t be going to red palace at all anymore. Love this place! So glad it’s under new management. Keep it up folks! Oh free ice cream too! When we left/finished at 645p, there was a line outside!

AYCEBBQCHEAP&DELICIOUS $ 9.99 for the cheapest AYCEBBQ with good selections on the fresh meats, entrees and side dishes. I really enjoyed the steamed egg and the chicken soup. The rice paper was not as soft as I expected it to be. This is a good place for groups to celebrate a birthday when they got a few flat screen TV’s playing Korean music videos so you get entertained by music while dinning. The waiters and waitresses are very attentive always asking if we need more meats, refills on our drinks or even to help us barbecue our meats. The owner is a very nice lady greeting us and even asking if we enjoyed our food before we left. The restaurant is very clean and organized. Got to try this place.
