I called Chin for a custom holiday sweater. Not only did he deliver exactly what I asked for, the price was great, AND he did it in one day for me because I needed it rushed. I will definitely be a return customer.

Wishing Unilocal had a zero star rating option. I’ve been going to this place to get custom screen printing and embroidery done since high school. I know there are many other places to get these services at, but I kept coming back here because it was cheap and I was a minor with no residual income. But you get what you pay for, right? Since then, Far West has undergone new management, but I can assure you that it’s just the same– bad. I used to put in bulk orders for sports teams, student government, and community service clubs here, with most of them needing a custom name for each. Between me and my executive club officers, I’m confident enough to say that I brought them a lot of their business, but every time I went to go pick it up, there was always ATLEAST1 – 3WRONGLYPRINTED names that Tammy(old mgmt) refused to exchange or give to me free of charge. Or the order wouldn’t be ready when she said they’d be ready so then I had to face everyone who was expecting their orders to tell them that it was further delayed. And then we would have to fight over who said what price even though I had it written down when I walked in for a quote. Tammy was a nice, personable lady who I got along with, but her entrepreneurship was not up to par. Excuses like«I don’t make any money off this, but I’ll do it for your price anyways because I like you» or «I’m only making a dollar per piece. Why should I do it?» were meant to guilt trip me, but I got what I wanted because honestly, I don’t care if you’re making one dollar or a hundred dollars off each sweater I bring to you; you either want my business or you don’t, and it was apparent that you did. Fine. It was bad service. So I left that place behind and came back a couple years later to a guy who currently manages it today. I had asked for a quote via email, but his response was so condescending and it seemed like I wasn’t worthy of his business, so I replied with a very lengthy message that conveyed my anger and frustration to the people who work there, and I never came back. But tell me why I decided to try my luck one last time today. Hell if I know. I was only in the area for this week, so I decided to drop by and see if I could get a quick custom stitch done on the wrist of a jacket that I had in my car. Knowing that not a lot of places do this location, I called ahead this morning to ask if it could be done, and he said«yes, should take a couple of days, $ 8.» I’m thinking alright. that’s a little taxed for some very light embroidery work, but fine, I’ll come in. So I come in, and I’m the ONLY one there. The older guy sees me from the back but doesn’t say anything. Instead, I’m sitting there waiting for someone to notice me when another customer walks in and gets helped first. The guy finally comes out and offers to help me first, but after confirming that I was the customer who called earlier, he said that maybe she would be quicker. Excuse me; I was there first. Shouldn’t it be first come, first serve basis and not whose business is faster? So there I was waiting for about 20 minutes while I sat through their small talk, gossip, bargaining, complaining, and all that good stuff. At this point, I was very irritated, but finally, the customer left and the guy turned to help me. After some back and forth about what I wanted, he tells me I CAN’T HAVECUSTOMSTITCHINGDONEONTHEWRIST because the sleeve wouldn’t fit the machine. So basically, I just wasted my gas and almost an hour of my time sitting there just to be told that they couldn’t do what I was asking for. AFTER the fact that they had already confirmed over the phone that they could. Take it from a long-time customer who has experienced terrible things from this business since high school. That’s seven years ago, and NOTHING has changed. Their services may be cheap, but you get below average service and the possibilities of different prices and mess-ups. Waste of my time. DONOTCOMEHERE. There are so many other places, and yes, they may charge you a couple more dollars, but I promise you it’s worth avoiding all of the trouble.
