When I was a kid, my dad forbid us from going to this temple after finding out they flew the North Vietnamese flag outside(The communist flag). My dad always used to tell us growing up «Don’t listen to what the Communists say, but look at what they do». Hypocrites of the highest order. Needless to say, we avoided this communist temple like the plague.

went here when ii was a kid maybe at the age of four. it used to be just a house with a small shack in the middle of the property. now it’s a huge two store approximately 10,000 square foot Buddhist temple. this place has gone through it’s political storms in the thirty plus years it’s been open, but now it seems this temple is very quiet and serves it’s purpose, which is a place for prayer and peace of mind. not easy to keep politics out of religion but ii think this place has somehow found it’s place.
