Place is awesome, great selection of components and ICs and a tonne of other interesting stuff from clothing and electronics to industrial and consumer items.

What a neat place! You can certainly spend a long time exploring in this store. In addition to the«used» laser in the front window, they also have lab grade glassware and other scientific supplies. While I wouldn’t eat out of anything that they sell here, they have some pretty cool stuff for décor/crafting.(I washed my hands around 3000 times after I left even though the guy behind the counter assured me that they clean everything before putting it up for sale.) There appeared to be used electronics components and some military stuff in the back but I didn’t really look around that area much. I was more interested in the lab equipment and other office surplus. The clerk working that day was a young guy who was really friendly. Extra star for being helpful and not creepy despite the high potential for creepiness with the surroundings!

Their mission is to recycle technology for the masses of Boise. I’ve been to a circuit bending event there once. It was a great time of hacking musical instruments and watching a Bruce Hack documentary. They have a ton of parts and surplus, but you might have a hard time finding exactly what you need. It isn’t the most organized place in the word, but that is what makes it interesting. You get to spend some time hunting around looking at old stuff from the Idaho National Lab and such. Today I saw a drone with a DARPA sticker on it. Who knows what that was used for. So if you are a Maker and you need a reostat, check here before Radio Shack.
